Content warnings:
Three things to know before you decide to read and review Wild Monogamy:
First, the many stories in this book are not limited to heterosexual couples. In addition, the book has been reviewed by two professional LGBTQ+ reviewers to ensure it is accessible to and embracing of a diverse range of relationship orientations.
Second, the book explores ways for couples to deepen their connection on every level, including their physical intimacy. As such, it contains tasteful but explicit descriptions of ways for couples to improve and enhance their sexual connection.
Finally, it's just the way the world is today that more and more couples will, at some point, consider having an intimate experience with another person. With that in mind, the final chapter explores how to have honest and loving conversations about this possibility as well as how to compassionately work with any fears, insecurities, or jealousies so that the experiences are positive and rewarding for everyone involved. The chapter also includes in-depth discussions about why this is often not the best choice for many of the couples that might be considering it.

Wild Monogamy : Cultivating Erotic Intimacy to Keep Passion and Desire Alive is a guidebook encouraging couples to enrich and sometimes re-ignite their love lives by exploring desires in a safe, supportive and loving environment. It is an extensive book bursting with ideas and backed up with personal stories and case studies from an experienced, knowledgeable and very loving couple. It is a brilliant book, totally none judgemental, and full of love and inspiration. A book that should be read by all couples. Brilliant, loved it !
"Wild Monogamy" was surprisingly good! Surprisingly, because from the very old-fashionly designed cover to a bit cheesy title, I was expecting quite repetitive advice that you may find in glossy magazines. Luckily, I was proven wrong.
Working with couples in a therapeutic setting, I know first-hand what people are struggling with when it comes to sex in long lasting relationships. "Wild Monogamy" would be a great resource for those who are consciously monogamous and want to properly take care of their sex life in that context, understand desire better and bring back sexual playfulness and lightness.
Full of useful tips and suggestions, "Wild Monogamy" would definitely benefit from more mainstream design because I'm afraid that due to 90's-like cover, many people may scoff at this book.
I was quite surprised by how much information was in this book. I don’t know what I was expecting but it wasn’t as much as this book provided.
Interesting book about how to keep the flame alive in a couple after years or decades of living together. I was a little worried that the book would be too descriptive but somehow the authors manage to describe their examples and tips with just enough information without falling into disturbing porn. While I believe this book should be read by a wide adult audience, the key message is simple: "keep the discussion going about anything and if you want to try something new, ask! ". Kindness and open mind will help a couple go through anything. This book will probably not help a couple that has grown apart unless both partners are willing to talk and share their feelings. If one partner is closed to discussion, the tips and tricks listed here will not be of much help. So if you want to keep your couple going for the long run, read this book early in your relationship and try a new trick every now and then to keep the fun going!
