About the Author
Jessica Gunderson grew up in the small town of Washburn, North Dakota. She has a bachelor’s degree from the University of North Dakota and an MFA in Creative Writing from Minnesota State University, Mankato. She has written more than fifty books for young readers. Her book Ropes of Revolution won the 2008 Moonbeam Award for best graphic novel. She currently lives in Madison, Wisconsin, with her husband and cat.
About the Illustrators
Jessi Zabarsky is a cartoonist and illustrator living in Chicago, Illinois. She makes comics about girls, magic, big feelings, and fantastic worlds. Her first two graphic novels, Witchlight and Coming Back, are available from Random House Graphic. She has stopped counting her house plants, as there are now far too many.
Le Nhat Vu was born in Nha Trang City, a seaside city in Vietnam. While growing up, he taught himself to draw by studying art documents and the works of other artists. He especially enjoyed reading manga (Japanese comics) and trying to draw the illustrations in his favorite comic books. Today, Nhat Vu works in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, where he loves to watch and play football, read novels, watch movies, and listen to old pop music.
