I love the whole body approach Dr. Taz Bhatia takes in her new book, The Hormone Shift. She guides the reader through a thorough understanding of hormones and the changes or "shifts," women experience over time. She then provides targeted strategies to address hormonal imbalances, drawing from both Eastern and Western medicine. She provides not only diet changes that may improve hormone balance, but also sleep, mindset, and lifestyle.
Her book ends with a 30 day hormone reset that is broken down into four phases. Each phase focuses on specific and actionable steps. The mind-body toolbox in phase 4 was my favorite, and one I see myself revisiting often to address the stressors of daily life. I will continue to implement her recommendations, and work toward a more balanced life.
