“We often unintentionally set high expectations for our children to achieve and to compete. I’m so grateful that we have messaging in places like Your Joy Is Beautiful to reassure our kids that they are more than enough exactly as they are, and that qualities like kindness and compassion mean something and have the power to improve their own world and the world around them.”

Thank you to NetGalley, along with the publisher for the eARC. I loved the illustrations throughout the book- very colorful and eye catching! This book is very diverse and would make a great addition to a classroom library!
Your Joy is Beautiful is a wonderful book of affirming and endearing ideas that every child needs to hear. The ideas of being strong, brave and resilient, paired with the ideas of being kind and empathetic, will help children have more joy in their lives and also to bring joy to others around them!
I absolutely love the exercises to empower children at the end of the book, the self-care wheel, and the affirmations paired with physical movement that are included at the end of the book. While it is written for children, it also gives parents/educators tools to help instill these positive ideas in our kids. ❤️
Thanks Netgalley and the publisher for the opportunity to review this eARC in exchange for my honest review on the book!
A great book of affirmations to tell your children. Each page is a line of relatable things you love about your kid, with illustrations to match, and then it gives examples of things you can do/make with your kid for empowerment at the end.
Calming and heartwarming, Your Joy is Beautiful will be a good positive affirmation friend you could give to your children. Easy to understand with great representation and colorful illustration. I love how it provided the activities at the end of the story. Worth to try!!!
I loved this! What a gorgeous, empowering book for grownups to share with their children. It instills such a lovely, and important message. The illustrations are beautiful throughout- really vibrant, and colourful, and the way the story is told in rhyming couplets, is really engaging. The book is inclusive, and really champions all the positive traits and skills that make children thrive. Developing a positive mindset early on, will really help them through to adulthood. There’s an activity section at the back to help build these important life skills. Would definitely recommend.
Thank you to Jenny Miller, and Netgalley for an eARC of this book to read and review.
I loved this book and I look forward to sharing it with my class! The illustrations were beautiful! I love how the words rhymed, as younger students need something to sing along with!
I really appreciated how this book was told in a way to affirm good qualities, but also ended with recommendations for affirmations, yoga poses and more. I loved that the illustrations showed people with different abilities and from different cultures.
This is a beautiful story book that encourages children to find and spread joy through compassion, empathy, and self-empowerment. It’s absolutely lovely, as are the colorful illustrations by Eve Andry. Great for children, and an important reminder to adults as well.
Thank you Zabie Yamasaki, Jenny Miller, and NetGalley and publisher for providing this ARC for review consideration. All opinions expressed are my own.
I just absolutely adore the message this book presents. It's a hard world out there these days and our children need to learn the language of compassion, kindness and empathy because there isn't enough of that in today's society. Also making sure that our children know that they are worthy and deserving of love just the way they are is such an important message for a child to learn early on before going through the teenage years which can be so difficult for many.
The illustrations are beautiful and will keep a child's attention. The messages are important, but put in a way that I child will enjoy reading the book.
