REEDSY:

Loved it! 😍 A modern historical delight with love, time travel, and more!

The author does a wonderful job developing the characters and constructing the plot that allows for stand alone enjoyment. I thoroughly enjoyed the pacing and felt that this booked flowed beautifully from chapter to chapter. It also kept me guessing! I appreciate books that have an element of intrigue and mystery and develop that element without giving away or revealing too much too soon. Overall, the plot was full of adventure and the concept felt original. The way everything came together was very enjoyable and just what I was looking for when choosing to read this book.

Advance Praise

"""What an escape! What a joy, a pure pleasure to read. Margaret, an English bluestocking, believes she's hopeless. As the story builds, situations snowball for her and for those trying to help her. Enriching and fun. I highly recommend this!""

""Although a sequel, this book can easily be enjoyed as a stand-alone. The author does a wonderful job developing the characters and constructing the plot...(and) the book flowed beautifully from chapter to chapter. The banter and dialogue was also splendidly done. It kept me guessing! I appreciate books that have an element of intrigue and mystery and develop that element without giving away or revealing too much too soon. Overall, the plot was full of adventure and the concept felt original.""

""All I can say is, I wish I had a time-traveling shawl! I loved this book, and you will too if you adore time-traveling romances with a little bit of mystery included. In this second book of the Forever in Time series, Burkard takes the reader on another magical journey through time."" Laura J. Davis, Interviews and Reviews

""Margaret is the girl who feels plain, unimportant, and entirely out of the ‘inner circle.' But watching her experience new things, meet new people, and overcome her obstacles to find love is heartwarming and endearing. And of course, we can’t forget the object of that love because Stewart is certainly the boy we all want to marry. (Though perhaps without all that business about being followed and running for his life.) In Forever Lovely, you find adventure, love, family, friendship, and sacrifice in a way that makes you want to just keep reading.

Santha DeWitt, Readers' Favorite

""In this lovely fantastical book by Linore Rose Burkard, time travel is possible from the Regency era to the present day via a mysterious tallit woven by the equally mysterious Freida. Burkard’s story deftly mixes the time travel with multiple plot lines... With so much going on in this novel it became a real page-turner because you didn’t know what would happen next. For those who love Regency romance, mixed with a little fantasy time travel, this book should be a delight.""

To anyone who loves time travel and especially time travel with 100% on point historical accuracy needs to read this time travel romance. Ever since Margaret Anderson‘s sister went to live in the future she has wanted her cousin Julian St. John to bring her there. Margaret Anderson is an 18-year-old blue stocking, Spencer, wallflower she has no prospects and even her inheritance is going to the closest male relative so her future is dubious. Ever since her distant aunt bought a prayer shawl in Israel and time traveled back to the 1800s then met and married Margaret’s uncle the marquee they had time travel in their family but this time when Mr. St. John brings Margaret to the future instead of showing up outside of the cottage in Oregon they show up in New York City and hijinks ensue. She’s excited to see her sister Celia who is a historical romance author in the future and is married the due to circumstances the plan goes awry and I haven’t even mentioned that Julian‘s wife Claire is going to deliver the first child in 1814 any day now. After showing up in front of the New York library Mr. St. John even tries to bring them back to the past and home but unfortunately this Joel doesn’t work anymore or at least not for Margaret. I want to say so much about this book but don’t want to give anything away what I will say is this was a great book and although there was a lot going on I loved all of it the author is not only funny she’s so historically accurate is it she herself time traveled I love history and historical romances and have never read a book that was so accurate and on point that I found no fault with the details. I cannot say enough how great the story was how entertaining and humorous and just one more time for prosperity how historically accurate this book is… Oh I love it! I am definitely going to download more of her regency books and cannot wait to get into it I only hope I make it to work on time lol! I want to thank books go social and net galley for my free Ark copy please forgive any mistakes as I am blind and dictate my review.

While Forever Lovely is technically the second book in a series it reads like a standalone. Or at least I didn't feel like I was missing anything from the first book. I'm a sucker for time-travel novels even though I'm not a huge Outlander fan. What sets this book apart from other time traveler novels is the fact that the heroine travels to future from Jane Austen's England. And meets our hero a 21st Century student who low and behold is studying female writers from the time period she's form. And since I love a good nerdy hero he was perfect for me.

As a reader I've found it hard to find regency set novels written by modern authors that I enjoy or feel like they are written well. I guess my program is that I keep comparing modern authors to Austen. But Forever Lovely by Linore Rose Burkard comes pretty close. And I look forward to reading the first book in this series, as well as other books by this author.

I received a copy of this book from the author I was not required to write a positive review. All opinions expressed are mine alone.

✨ my first time reading a time-travel romance sprinkled with a dash of mystery and I’m surprised by how much I enjoyed it ✨

I’ll start off by saying that if you haven’t read book one in the series then please do! Even though this can be read as a stand alone, it will help build up characters and the world you’re about to be thrown into more clearly. If you’re a fan of suspense then this book definitely does the trick, jumping from the 21st century to the regency era really made for an enjoyable and captivating read and the characters absolutely held my attention. I love how Linore wrote Margaret to be so relatable and then when we read about her experiencing new things and overcoming obstacles to find love, it makes it even more heartwarming and endearing. This book features adventure, sacrifice and love which will make you want to keep on reading 💫

Absolutely WONDERFUL, incredible book. It is fascinating to think what it'd be like to go back 200 years and experience the world then, while still maintaining all we know now. (And vice-versa, forward 200 years.) This book does both of those with absolutely amazing detail and an excellent, engaging, perfect plot. Absolutely perfect!

A time travel story that follows Miss Margaret Andrews from 1819 England to present day New York City, using a magical time-travel shawl. Being separated from her from Julian St John, she finds herself inadvertently at a Jane Austen conference. There she meets Stewart Russell who is studying early British female writers and due to the shawl, they find themselves drawn to each other. Yet Stewart is a wanted man and Margaret is determined to get them both back to 1819, before the unthinkable happens.
Whilst the premise is quite unbelievable, I found myself enjoying the light-hearted and sweet romance. It was quite interesting to note the differences in dialogue between the character between the two time periods and denoted how language has evolved. It was also great to see how simple inventions could change the lives of people, which is introduced early in the book.
I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book from NetGalley. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

In the captivating pages of Linore Rose Burkard's "Forever Lovely," readers are transported on an extraordinary journey through time, where history intertwines with the promise of true love. The protagonist, Miss Margaret Andrews, a brilliant bluestocking from 1819 England, embarks on an unexpected adventure when she finds herself whisked away to 21st Century Manhattan. Her dream of becoming an inventress takes a backseat as she navigates the bustling streets of New York City, armed with her knowledge of Jane Austen's era and an uncanny ability to replicate the speech and mannerisms of that time. Fate brings Margaret to a Jane Austen conference, where she encounters Stewart Russell, a graduate student engrossed in the study of early British female writers. Stewart is instantly smitten with Margaret's charm and wit, but her claims of being from Jane Austen's day raise doubts in his mind. Unraveling the mystery behind Margaret's time travel becomes a pressing matter when Stewart finds himself entangled in a dangerous situation, with both their lives hanging in the balance. As the clock ticks, Margaret races against time to find a way to return them both to 1819 before disaster strikes. With each passing moment, her feelings for Stewart deepen, complicating her mission and forcing her to confront the possibility of leaving behind the man she has come to love. Burkard weaves a tale of adventure, romance, and self-discovery, set against the backdrop of two distinct eras. Margaret's resilience and determination shine through as she navigates the challenges of a foreign time period, all while grappling with her growing affection for Stewart. "Forever Lovely" is a testament to the power of love and the strength of the human spirit. Burkard's vivid descriptions and attention to historical detail bring the story to life, immersing readers in the sights, sounds, and emotions of both Margaret's time and the modern world. With its intricate plot, lovable characters, and heartwarming romance, "Forever Lovely" is a must-read for fans of historical fiction and time travel adventures.

Lovely time travel romance.

This time the girl travels into the future to meet her sister and accidentally meet a guy on a Jane Austen conference. I liked the story and romance. It's set in Current time and Regency Period which is one of my favourite. It's more of a time-slip rather than time travel, as characters seem to be able to go back and forth in time.
I was a little confused in the beginning, as I didn't read the first book in the series, but it became clear later on.

This was such a great read! I jumped into the book without expecting much but was immediately impressed by the author's knowledge of the Regency time as well as the immaculate writing. I have seen a lot of Regency romance books that halfway through end up using modern terminology and was glad that wasn't the case with this one. Despite the frequent time jumps in the story, the tone and terminology remain consistent throughout the book.

I really enjoyed the way present day New York was described through the eyes of a person from the Regency era. It was quite entertaining, and I had a good laugh on numerous occasions. I loved Margaret and her enthusiasm for adventure. She's probably the most endearing character I have read in a long time. The romance between her and Stewart was sweet and the mystery surrounding the tallit made the book even more interesting. Although there is a lot of overlap with the first book in the series, I had no problem reading it as a standalone with all the necessary information provided to connect the dots.

Thank you NetGalley and BooksGoSocial for providing me with an e-ARC. I thoroughly enjoyed it.

In "Forever Lovely," I found myself swept away by Margaret Andrews' unexpected journey from 1819 England to 21st Century Manhattan in search of her missing sister. Margaret's clash with modern life and her budding romance with Stewart Russell, a grad student enamored with early British female writers, kept me engrossed from start to finish. With its blend of time-travel adventure and heartfelt romance reminiscent of "Outlander," this standalone sequel offers a delightful escape into a world where love transcends centuries.

A modern historical fiction. What a lovely book and honestly i like reading it. Will find the book 1 eventhough this can be read separately. In other words, its a stand alone

This book was so much fun! In the beginning it was a bit difficult to get into the book. It is the second book in the serie, but it was advertised that it could be read as a stand alone. After finishing this book I wished I had read the first book in the series. I loved the characters, but at first I didn't understand who was who and who was related to who. When I finally knew who was who I flew through the book. I loved the time travel aspect of the book.

I liked the notes at the beginning of the book with some facts and fiction in the book and the glossary. English is not my first language so I didn't know the meaning of a couple of words. It was nice to know them before reading the book.

Thanks NetGalley for a copy of this book!

This is a Regency time travel romance by an author that is completely new to me. I don't usually read a lot of this genre, and the ones I have read usually have the characters going back in time. This one was a little different in that Margaret, who is from the Regency era, actually travels to the future. There she meets Stewart, who is a grad student studying 19th century British female authors. He is completely captivated by her and her mannerisms, and the way she carries herself, just like the heroines from Austen's novels. When Stewart runs into a bit of trouble, it is a race against time for Margaret to get back to her time period and bring Stewart with her.
A very enjoyable and entertaining read! I would definitely love to read more of this author's work in the future.
I received a complimentary copy from NetGalley and am voluntarily leaving my review.

This book is funny and charming!! I didn’t read the first book so the beginning of this book with Margaret and St. John traveling in the New York was a bit jarring. But the author did a good job and bringing the reader up to date. After reading, I do agree that one doesn’t have to read the first book in this series.
Mixing fantasy and historical romance is the best of both world for me. These are my favorite genres and love finding books with these this mix.
The shirt itself was funny and sweet with a sprinkle of surprises.
