Description
From the CEO of Mommy’s Bliss comes a book for new moms that’s not about the baby. It’s about you, mama.
You might be just a few days out of the hospital or months into your sleep-deprived postpartum journey when the realization hits you: life as you know it―your whole identity―will never be the same. Mom Your Way will guide you through this fundamental shift into new motherhood. With a healthy dose of humor and comforting best-friend energy, Yasmin Kaderali shares judgment-free wisdom for navigating your postpartum life.
Based on Yasmin’s years serving moms at the helm of the wellness brand Mommy’s Bliss―and her own experience as the mom of two little boys―Mom Your Way dishes the dirt on what to expect in your postpartum months and offers useful advice on caring for your new self, from managing sleep and emotions to dealing with body changes that no one really talks about. You’ll learn about building your support network, setting boundaries with family and friends, resisting labels, and banishing mom guilt. Throughout, Yasmin offers relatable anecdotes, simple tips, trusted product recommendations, and journaling prompts to help you thrive in the fourth trimester and beyond.

Advance Praise
“A new mom must-have book!” —Ashley Greene, mom, actress, and cofounder of the women’s health platform Hummingway
“I wish I had a book like this when my son was born. Finally, a book that puts the attention on this new ‘mom’ identity we suddenly have to grasp the moment our baby is born. I strongly recommend this book for those moms in their last trimester or the first few months postpartum.” —Dr. Raveen Gogia, OB/GYN and mom
“From even before your child is born, this book should be your constant companion. The title says it all. The author helps you become free of the voices in your head and the voices of other people who tell you how you should parent. Think of Yasmin Kaderali as a trusted friend who will guide you through the many challenges of parenting while teaching you to trust and believe in yourself—judgment-free.” —Francine Russo, writer for the Wall Street Journal and Scientific American and author of Love After 50: How to Find It, Enjoy It, and Keep It
“Yasmin’s book is what every new mom needs! As a mother herself and a professional in the baby wellness space, she offers the perfect combination of practical resources and moral support. Reading Mom Your Way is like chatting with that trusted girlfriend who will tell you the truth about life with an infant. In her warm, witty style, she reminds new mothers that they’re not alone and that it’s okay to feel overwhelmed. Best of all, Yasmin encourages new mothers to trust their intuition, to relish the miracle of bringing a new life into the world and to treat themselves with compassion and grace—even if they haven’t had a shower in days.” —Wynn Burkett, author of The Power of Mindful Parenting: A Guide to More Connection and Less Conflict with Your Teen

As someone who doesn't read nonfiction, I couldn't put this down. It just felt like a conversation between friends. It was real. Honest. Straight forward. Insightful. Helpful. Encouraging. Most importantly, a judgement free zone. ❤️
As a new mom the whole book just felt relevant. Regardless of what trimester (postpartum) you’re in, each chapter, and section, is relatable and useful. There's a lot of good advice, helpful selfcare tools, and even product recommendations that could be really beneficial to new moms. Yasmin talks about sleep deprivation, what happens to your body, moods, relationships, the dreaded WTF moments, and more through each postpartum trimester.
At the end of the day, we're all doing our best to figure out motherhood...in our own unique way. And this book really made that feel okay. Encouraged it even.
"And do this mom thing your way because that’s the only way." 👏
A couple quotes that really resonated with me...
"Sometimes just knowing someone else out there has gone through what you’re going through in this new-momma adventure can really help to make it feel more manageable and to give you hope."
"Remember, you are doing your best. Some days your best is crap, and that’s really okay. Stop comparing yourself to other moms online. You are finding your own way as a mom."
