Description
The Enneagram is usually marketed as a tool for self-discovery, but it is so much more than that. The language the Enneagram offers us can restore friendships, marriages, and more. It gives us a way to explain ourselves to those we want to be understood by. Removing the communal, relational aspect of the Enneagram is how the true magic of the Enneagram is lost.
Christina Wilcox’s playful yet informative guide will help her readers find ways to comfort their loved ones through the struggles of life in relation to the Enneagram. There is no linear road to recovery for anyone, but the Enneagram may give us a guiding light as we navigate through the things we rarely have a map for.
This book will include:
- Enneagram “profiles” for each type
- Tips on how to connect, develop friendships, and support others based on each Enneagram type
- Eye-catching illustrations to illuminate examples of her tips throughout the process

I love the way this book is set up. The Enneagram can be so confusing to some folks and this book does an awesome job of breaking out down in a digestable way. I would love to add this book to my collection. Big plus that there's not a super religious spin on it as well. I find that many Enneagram books published in the last few years have a hard Christian spin on them, but this one doesn't have that. And the illustrations are cute, too!
"Take Care of Your Friends" by Christina Wilcox is a heartfelt exploration of the dynamics and responsibilities inherent in friendships. As someone who appreciates nurturing relationships, I found this book deeply resonant.
Wilcox's writing is both insightful and practical. She delves into the nuances of friendship, emphasizing the significance of empathy, communication, and mutual support. I particularly identify as the second enneagram, the giver, and I felt seen many times and could see a lot of resemblance in the relationships I have. The author effectively highlights the challenges that givers may encounter, such as the risk of burnout or feeling unappreciated.
Moreover, Wilcox doesn't just offer theoretical advice; she provides actionable strategies and reflective exercises throughout the book. This hands-on approach makes "Take Care of Your Friends" an enlightening read and a practical toolkit for nurturing and sustaining meaningful friendships.
It's a perfect book to have on your side table!
