This would be a fun gift for anyone who lives in Utah because the whole thing is basically an inside joke. This little book made me laugh, and I did really like the art! These pictures would be funny decor. While this is a niche book, if you are the audience, you will probably like it.
This is the most delightfully Utah book I have ever read. This isn’t a children’s book but instead 100 words uniquely associated with the state of Utah. It’s an inside joke for Utahns as many terms wont have meaning beyond state lines. Things included are physical sights, sports, history, and favorite foods. In theory a book like this could be had for every state in the nation. But the person who wrote this must have a deep connection to Utah as this isn’t just information you could gather off an internet search. I think this would be a great stocking stuffer or gift for many of my fellow Utahns. I’m so glad to have gotten to read this temporary ARC from Familius via NetGalley and I am leaving an honest review.
I love these books! They are perhaps my favorite of my sons! Thank you NetGalley for the ARC!
The pictures are great and very educational. I want to collect every one for each state. My son loves them and will read over and over again. This book had vocabulary from types of birds and flowers to the different parts of surf! Some of the words and concepts (like biff) are a little advanced for young children but it's still great for them to hear them! I highly recommend this book and others in the series.
