Description
The agreement is simple. He needs a fake girlfriend, and I need a safe place to stay.
But life is rarely simple. And living with the hot, growly Canadian hockey player who calls me his sweet little casserole in French is anything but safe.
When my father turns his rage on my little girl, I need to escape. But I’m broke, beaten down, and out of options. So when my best friend asks me to be Titus’s live-in fake girlfriend, I seize the crazy offer.
Titus, a.k.a. the Spartan, must convince a judge that he can provide an appropriate family environment for his toddler, and we get to stay in his sunny Palm Springs home and pretend to be a family. It’s the perfect arrangement–as long as we don’t end up in a Canadian jail.
But nothing goes according to plan. My quiet daughter starts to adore him, and we can't seem to control the explosive heat between us.
Could getting involved with Titus jeopardize his son's safety, and is running the only way to protect the people I love?

This book was so much fun! Coming back to Brannick's Palm Springs feels like coming home at this point, and again she delivers one of my favorite FMC and MMC pairings with Titus and Abby, I love these books.
In Thirsty Thursday, the banter between the couple was hilarious, their chemistry was palpable, and I loved how Brannick writes kids. It also may inspire me to try out a segsy subscription box, because those two had sooo much fun with it I was a little bit jealous.
This is my first book by J.L. Brannick, but when I read the blurb that this was a hockey romance, count me in! Luckily, this book was well, written and had a great pace to it. This book includes a triggering storyline of abuse, so please be aware of that. Also, there is a tremendous amount of sex in this book, so if you don't like that, you should also skip this one. With all of that said, I liked Titus and Abby, our main characters, but Titus was for sure my favorite. Unlike most romance books heroes, he was so open and honest with Abby about his feelings, which really helps this book because it is told in first person by Abby's POV. I'm not normally a fan of one POV, but because Titus was so open with Abby all of the time, it worked really well in this book. This was a 4.5 star book rounded up to 5 stars. Thank you NetGalley and J.L. Brannick for an advanced copy.
I absolutely loved this book! The characters were wonderfully written, and I loved how sweet and caring Titus was!! It was a beautiful story, and I’d love to read the rest of the series!
Wow, what a great book! It was so engaging and kept me turning pages until the very end! I highly recommend it to fellow readers!
I love this Palm Springs Book Series and Thirsty Thursdays is my favorite so far.
The Abby and Titus relationship is killer. I loved watching both of them grow as strangers to friends to lovers. Abby herself comes out of her shell and grows from a shy abused woman into a confident mom and business woman. Titus is a hockey star and he is very confident in knowing what his wants and ultimately he wants Abby and is so gentle with her and adorable with her daughter. Titus has hired Abby to be his live in girlfriend to help him get custody of his son. What the two of them do for each other and how they support each other is fantastic.
This is one hot, feel good story. The supportive characters are great too and characters from the first three books also shows up in this book which was neat too.
J.L. Brannick did a fantastic job on this book and I can’t wait see what she does with “friday”.
Thank you NetGalley and J.L. Brannick for the ARC of this book
I was pleasantly surprised by how much I liked this book. I generally prefer dual POV but really enjoyed this. Some of the sentences seemed a little abrupt or matter of fact but it didn’t negate the overall story or experience IMO.
It was the first book I’ve read by this author and I liked the balance between the emotionally raw and real struggles to the spice and romance. For everything Abby had gone through, she was still sweet and sassy which spoke to her character. Titus had no qualms about showing his feelings for Abby, although in true man fashion, he wasn’t always clear with his wording but not even book boyfriends are perfect! There was no 3rd act break up, which I loved and they worked well together through any issues. Their chemistry was dynamic and showed throughout the book!
I’m definitely looking forward to more from this author and series!
Thank you J. L. Brannick, Smart Mouth Publishing and NetGalley for the ARC!

Binge Reading Worthy!! The first chapter alone had me hooked! I honestly was walking in blind as I have not read other books from this series, but I was able to keep up on all of the characters. I do think the background may have helped reading this book.
The dynamic between Abby and Titus begins with a fake dating situation to help Abby get out of an abusive home and help Titus gain custody of his son. I was confused how this would work with Abby’s background and Titus’ demeanor. I slowly got to see his soft side toward her. It was very adorable how he interacted with her daughter as well! Overall…..such an amazing book.
PS the spicy alone makes this book worth a read!
