Description
Nick Rezkel lost his PI license in a case that went sideways. Turned out catching the killer wasn't enough. Now he's on the Alaska Pipeline, working seven tens out in the minus 70 wind chill. Yet, there are compensations. Nick finds a new girlfriend with a quick tongue and a killer body. Life feels sweet despite his boss' threats to fire him. Then, everything gets serious. He finds a dead man, a heap of cocaine dissolving in his pooled blood. State troopers are convinced Nick stabbed the guy. Now, it's up to him to escape and clear his name.

Advance Praise
"Anderson will pick you up and put you down, hard, on the north shore of Alaska. Winter. 70 below zero. Big money. Big drugs. Big oil companies. And . . . murder." - Patrick Daugherty, Columnist, San Diego Reader.
"Noir below zero—Richard Anderson brings a dynamic and unique voice to the hard-boiled genre. Disgraced PI Nick Rezkel juggles weapons and wit in this audacious tale of corruption and murder." - Yves Fey, Award winning author of Floats the Dark Shadow.
"Counterculture rebellion clashes with outrageous greed in Death Below Zero, a gritty, witty recreation of the '70s Alaska pipeline boom. An action-filled thriller with a momentum that never flags." - Beth Tashery Shannon, Pushcart Prize winner, author of Tanglevine
