A good overview of the purpose and meaning of our various emotions and feelings. Gives some helpful guidance.

(I received a free digital copy of this book from NetGalley in exchange for an honest review)

This was a great addition to my therapy collection. It is informative and written in a language most of us can read (not all medical jargon where you need a degree in science to understand)

I found it very helpful as emotions are where I struggle most in life and they are currently taking over.

I would absolutely recommend to others.

A great guide to really feeling and understanding your emotions.

Thank you to the publisher and netgalley for this review copy

First and foremost, thank you to NetGalley for providing me with an ARC copy in exchange for an honest review.
I am a DBT Therapist and we teach many people about getting down to the roots and accurately identifying our emotions. This may sound like an “obvious thing” however, many people struggle with truly knowing how to describe their emotions. This workbook, although at times too simplistic in my opinion, would be helpful to providing a foundation of paying mindful attention to your emotions and how they feel in your body. I do wish the book had deeper examples that held more weight, but it’s a decent book overall. I would also like to see more adjectives for primary emotions and where they fit on an “emotional thermometer

An accessible guide to understanding, accepting and processing emotions - including so called "negative" emotions.

This is an area I have some prior knowledge of, so I found the workbook simplistic at times; however, it still managed to introduce some concepts which were new to me (such as contract renegotiation) and which I found helpful. I would recommend this book highly as a beginner resource.

Thank you to NetGalley and Sounds True Publishing for the ARC in return for an honest review.
