Description
Cordelia Tanner and her twin brother Rex never intended to cause such a ballyhoo when they invented Footloose, an ingenious holographic technology that gives the illusion of a person being shod in fantastical shoe designs when underneath they have on their comfy slippers. It leads to a meltdown in the real shoe industry and so the bombastic, vengeful footwear mogul Richard Nailer tries to destroy the culprits.
Fortunately, Cordelia can periodically escape all the shenanigans because of an extraordinary extra-sensory ability she calls psychomatricks which permits her to witness episodes in a person’s life by holding a piece of their property – very useful when applied to her collection of shoes once owned by luminaries of history. When she discovers her best friend, the enigmatic Elodie l’Archambeau, has the ability too they miraculously enter historic realms for adventures galore.
Meanwhile, back in the real world, will the dastardly Nailer succeed in his scheming or will Cordelia triumph?

I liked this book! It had a great storyline and pretty good pacing. I think the characters were interesting and I would like to read this book in a book club to see others thoughts and opinions of it. Overall I enjoyed this book!

This is such a good read! I love the crossover of the future, tech, and magical realism. It is such a good read, it is fast paced and it is gripping, I wanted to finish this book in one go! I loved the characters and the writing style. I wish I could experience what the book is about, wearing someones shoes and being in a whole different perspective. I loved how it was also funny and witty, that was a bonus to this overall great book!

I read the second book in this series first, however I enjoyed it so much I went on to read the first one. It’s equally as fabulous as the sequel. The three main characters are so lovable and fun, I’d love to visit The Weasel (…a wonderful pub in the novels) and have a glass of Bonheur champagne with the trio.
Such fun stories that offer a whimsical escape from the real world.
