Mrs. Frugalicious.com aka Maddie Michaels is scheduled to take a local news crew on a black Friday shopping expedition to show shoppers how to score the best bargains. Maddie’s blog readers are overwhelmingly excited and supportive of her outing, all except for Contrary Claire, a follower that loves giving Maddie a hard time. She makes no secret of the fact that she thinks it’s a terrible idea. But when Claire’s body is found buried under a massive pile of toasters, it becomes clear that Claire has made more than one enemy. Maddie begins to investigate, she needs to find the killer before the copes arrest her, or before the killer strikes again.
A great cozy mystery, especially for those of us who would rather be buried under toasters than hit the stores on Black Friday. Humorous and clever
I enjoyed reading Black Thursday very much! I loved the tips from "Mrs. Frugalicious" as well. My favorite characters were Maddie, her twin sons and her step daughter. I see a lot of possibilities for the four of them to team up in future books. This book incorporated the long standing tradition of Black Friday shopping with the new trend of Thanksgiving night shopping and the modern trend of online blogging to make a fun read! I would definitely recommend it.
