Description
Clean Regency Romance: What is a lady to do when the man she loves is determined to sacrifice their love for honor?
Lady Helen is not overly concerned that she is only passably pretty and not likely to attract many suitors during her London Season. Only a shallow man would choose his wife for her looks. She wants a husband who is likable and worthy of respect, possesses a good character, and has a pleasant disposition.
Mr. Luke Turner is what the ton contemptuously refers to as a Cit. His wealth and upbringing can give him entry into London Society but not make a match with a young lady of birth.
Helen knows that Luke is the only man she can marry. He is kind and gentle and makes her feel comfortable about herself. He loves her, she knows he does, but is adamant about keeping away for fear of endangering her place in Society.
But when the notorious Lord Frampton fixes his sights on her, Luke is the only one she can trust. Will he put aside his scruples to keep her safe?

This was a strong regency romance novel, it had everything that I enjoyed about the genre and uses the time-period perfectly to tell a story. Jessica Spencer wrote a strong concept and was glad the overall story was everything that I wanted and expected. It was a strong sequel in the Season of LOVE series and glad I got to read this.
Lady Helen's Misalliance elegantly captures the essence of Regency-era romance, following Lady Helen as she seeks a genuine and respectful relationship in a society obsessed with appearances. The novel beautifully portrays her deep connection with Mr. Luke Turner, a man of good character who values her for who she truly is. I loved reading this book because it emphasizes the importance of love and integrity over wealth and status, making the story both heartfelt and inspiring. The rich character development and engaging plot make it a delightful read for anyone who appreciates a meaningful and classic love story.
Virtually deserted by her party loving mother, Helen has made a life of her own at her father’s country home. Her aunt determines to bring her out in London. There is drama and rescues. The dynamics of class during the Regency era play a big role.
Get ready to fall head over heels! Lady Helen's Misalliance is a wonderful story that will sweep you off your feet! Lady Helen’s quest for real love with the charming Mr. Luke Turner is pure magic – no boring drama, just heartfelt romance and sizzling chemistry. I was totally hooked by their sweet moments and the way they fight for each other against all odds.
