A great factual book that is divided into sections or chapters, starts with a contents page, ends with an Index and also has a Glossary and for more information sections. The facts included in it range from scientific information through animals and survival to folklore and inventors. It is beautifully illustrated with appropriate images and photographs. All the facts are numbered and, at intervals, there are even quizzes to have a go at.
This book is very well presented and well organised for use, encouraging the reader to explore further to discover more about this fascinating topic. Definitely an interesting book to explore and that is likely to appeal to a wide range of readers.
I was given a copy of this book from NetGalley in exchange for an honest review. I can honestly say that I really enjoyed reading this book, there were many fun and informative facts, quizzes and ways that you could actually get involved in experiments. This is combined with excellent quality photographs which demonstrate clearly the different aspects of weather, all of which are covered in really good fact size chunks. I feel that this book would be a delight to both children and adults alike, I learnt from it! For me it was an excellent reminder of what you learn at school that tends to be lost from your day to day memory. Its a lovely book, highly recommended.
This is a fabulous book of weather facts suitable for elementary and middle school age children. Full of facts on a wide variety of weather related topics like seasons, types of clouds, hurricanes, hail, rainbows, auroras and myths and legends about weather, this book is sure to appeal to people of all ages. The photos and drawings are engaging and there are occasional quizzes, funny facts, a glossary and an index. I think this book would make a great addition to any elementary school and middle school library as well as for people who home school and any children who are interested in weather. I received this book free to review from Netgalley and I highly recommend it.
