Just as funny and wholesome as I remember them to be 100/10 I need to get my hands on a copy of this as soon as it's published.

I thought the book was really cute! I really liked the artwork and thought that was cool. I think the only thing that would have made it even better is if there was some dialogue. So there could be more of a red string through the hole book. But overall it was good!

Thank you, NetGalley for an advanced ARC of this graphic novel 😊

This is a graphic novel that's told through the artwork alone with no words, the art is cute and I loved the style giving off a fun, quirky style.

I never thought I'd get sucked into a wordless comic, but here I am, adding this collection of one-shot wordless comics to my favorites. It's funny, it's poignant, it's snappy, it's witty. Emi MG has outdone herself with this collection. Every page flip leads into another scene with her adorably-drawn, excellently crafted characters and incredibly timely and well-planned humor. This will, hands down, be something I return to time and time again to relive the escapades of the little monsters she has created.

I remember reading this on WEBTOON and I’m so happy they are publishing it.

I love the art style. It’s pretty funny. I love the characters. It’s the comic equivalent of short chapters. ❤️ Over all it’s a fun, quick read.

This comic is definitely not my usual dramatic isekai but the feel-good story with comedic plot twists and adorable, expressive art is really nice. Plus, it's a pretty quick read and with every chapter something new happens so you'll never get bored because you never would've guessed what's happening next.

There's no dialogue in this and the story is told by the art itself through body language, facial expressions, context, etc. The best part is that I find background characters having their own little scenario going on which was equally as funny and cute.

To sum it up, it's just really good. You just can't go wrong with reading it ( • ̀ω•́ )✧

Thank you to NetGalley for allowing me to read this comic early in exchange for an honest review!

I have been a passive follower of Emi’s Zom comics on her Instagram for a few years now. I honestly had no idea that she was planning to release the in a physical book, but I can say I’m super excited! These comics are very cute, well planned, and done in a style that reminds me a lot of the modern Saturday Cartoon styles of Adventure Time, Bee and Puppycat, and Steven Universe. They also have the charm of a Sunday comic strip, with plenty of jokes and gags that adults with literature and media backgrounds will understand.

There were some of my favorites from her series in here, but a lot that I hadn’t seen as well, which was nice! I think there is a lot of potential to grow and continue here. I like the lack of dialogue, but maybe someday a comic or series will have dialogue. There’s just so much charm and life (pun intended) in these characters, you can’t help but fall in love.

This is a fun sweet palate cleanser graphic novel which is a very quick read. The three main characters have a cute dynamic and really make this comic enjoyable.

I was so drawn to the cover art of this graphic novel that I didn't bother learning anymore about it before jumping straight in. As a life long comic book/graphic novel reader my heart always does a little dance when I come across an indie release which is easily accessible to mainstream audiences. Zombies and comics though? What more could you want?

Well, to put it simply, we want more! More of this please!

Why I hear you ask?

The art style is glorious. With both human and zombie characters fitting into a one world seamlessly. The lack of dialogue/text throughout is just credit to the story telling and how beautifully each cell has been designed. I found myself laughing out loud and rushing off to find Emi Mena Garrucho's social media in hopes of enjoying more of their work.

I'll happily be recommending ZomCom'ics as it will easily appeal to any gender and any age. It was a true joy to read and I hope this is the start of a long series which will happily have pride of place on one of my bookselves.

This book was such an enjoyable experience! Though it has no words, the story is beautifully conveyed through the artwork alone. It’s incredible how much detail, emotion, and expression are captured, allowing you to fully understand the narrative as the characters go about their everyday lives.

The storytelling through art is both fun and impressive, showcasing how much can be communicated without dialogue. Plus, the art itself is absolutely adorable, adding to the charm of the book. It’s a delightful read that proves pictures truly can speak a thousand words!

ALL THE STARS

This comic is so amazingly funny and relatable. There isn’t any dialogue to go with the scenes, but it isn’t necessary with the way the author/artist portrayed each scene. It is truly a testament to how talented the creator is considering the emotion and humor is so clearly captured.

This isn’t a traditional story that follows a plot or narrative to keep your attention, but is instead a series of events that capture humorous moments in the lives of Zom, Ari, and Theo. And while some scenes don’t necessarily include one of these characters, they still follow the same theme.

What’s truly remarkable about this comic is the fact that it is so relatable to everyone, even if it is a “paranormal” version of the modern world, the situations are seemingly the same. What makes it even better is the inclusivity that is shown throughout the entirety of the comic. It’s truly amazing to see representation for just about everyone, and I’m sure that the creator will only continue to do so.

A big thank you to net galley for the ARC copy of this comic. I cannot wait to read more from this creator.

ZomCom'ics is a fun and wordless comic collection about a group of supernatural friends. It's a super quick read and has some great laugh out loud moments. I do think it could have benefited from some text, at least as headers at the start of each comic to help break them up. Thanks to Andrews McMeel Publishing and NetGalley for the ARC in exchange for my honest review.

This was adorable! I loved the short comics. There's no dialogue, which I personally felt added to the charm. It's very visual and depicts fun little scenes in a world where monsters live together.

💫 ARC book review 💫 This comes out in April!

Thank you, Netgalley, the author, and Andrews McMeel Publishing for the gifted e-book! ❤️ #gifted. My review is comprised of my honest thoughts.

This was so cool. There were no words. It jumps around and doesn't seem to read in a certain order. It was really cute and I enjoyed it.

I didn’t expect to enjoy Zomcom'ics as much as I did. I usually don’t find these kinds of comics funny, but this one had me smiling to myself. The humour is clever and unexpected in the best way.

The art style? Loved it. It’s unique and fits the vibe of the story perfectly. I loved all the characters and their designs, my personal favourite was Medusa. Every panel that had her, I loved.

If you’re looking for something funny and fun to read, definitely give Zomcom'ics a shot.

This is a wonderful, hilarious graphic novel of all the personal problems of being supernatural. The day-to-day issues that you and I deal with are quite comical when you look at them through the eyes of a zombie or werewolf.

This is definitely a supernatural enthusiasts perfect gift. Highly recommend it!

ZomCom’ics offers a quirky, enjoyable mix of short, silent stories set in a spooky urban fantasy world. With a diverse cast of characters, it blends dark humor with a touch of gore, creating an atmosphere that is both fun and slightly unsettling.

Though not a favorite of mine, I found it to be a highly entertaining read. The humor is well-crafted, with moments that are both wholesome and dark, and the characters’ interactions kept me engaged throughout. It’s a unique graphic novel for those who enjoy a lighter, quirky take on urban fantasy with a hint of the eerie.

A cute and fun read, these comics reminded me of some of Sarah Andersen's quirkiness. Definitely an easy and enjoyable read for unwinding. The art style is adorable, despite featuring zombies and other monsters as the core protagonists.

I was excited when I saw this comic on Net Galley as the cover instantly intrigued me. Plus, my daughter is currently into Disney Zombies and all things paranormal so I thought this comic would be a lot of fun to look at together. It was a big hit as we looked through the comics and had fun seeing what the author was showing while telling our own stories to go with the pictures. I think this is one that we will look at many times as the illustrations are beautiful and convey a variety of day-to-day emotions and experiences. I think this would be great pick for teachers as the pictures would be perfect for writing prompts as they are relatable and entertaining.

Such a cute read! I was a little wary about it being a wordless webtoon but I found the short-comic collection format very enjoyable. Zom & her friends are very likeable.

I was fascinated by the idea of a wordless graphic novel, so I had to check this one out. It was definitely different.

This book is basically a bunch of short scenes that are only tangentially connected—the same characters appear throughout, but other than that the scenes are random. They don't form a coherent story, only offer readers multiple peeks into the life of three supernatural friends.

Interesting, different, and a quick read, but not really what I would consider a cohesive story. And, truth be told, I missed the text. However, I did find that the faster I paged through this one, the more I liked it, as the faster flipping between the scenes, created a fun sense of movement.

I loved the relationship between Ari Zom and Theo. Even though the comic didn’t have any words it was obvious that they all cared deeply about each other. I also liked the illustration style. I hope that’s there is a sequel.

Zom (a zombie), Ari (a vampire), and Theo (a werewolf) live in a world much like our own...but different. There, supernatural creatures live their lives (whether they're alive or undead), and try to survive the ups and downs of existence. (After all, even angels sometimes tumble off of clouds and end up falling right onto someone's windshield.) Join these roommates in their pursuit of friendship, good times, love, great photos, snacks, and tasty beverages (not just blood). This book is a like a big hug from your best pal, especially if your best pal happens to be a vampire, werewolf, or zombie.

I received a free copy of this book from NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.

These comics made me laugh out loud, go awww out loud and snort laugh all on the same bus journey. Seriously this is one of the funniest comics I've read in a very long time and will definitely be buying a physical copy when it comes out.

This comic book was like a breath of fresh air, i liked it had no text or speech but if you paid attention to the art work there expressions even in a simplistic art style speaks volumes. I loved the facial expressions and how all the characters interacted with each other, i would recommend this book if you are in a reading slump to just get you back into liking books again as there's no words just understanding facial expresson's.

‘ZomCom’ics’ is a charming and visually stunning silent comic that blends the spooky with the adorable. Through a collection of short, dialogue-free stories, it delivers heartwarming and humorous moments with expressive characters and a beautifully illustrated supernatural world. The lack of words doesn’t take away from the storytelling - in fact, it enhances the experience, letting the art speak volumes.

Plot: ★★★★☆
Since this is a collection of slice-of-life and short adventure comic strips rather than a single, continuous story, the “plot” is more about the individual narratives within each strip. Each comic presents a self-contained moment - sometimes funny, sometimes heartwarming, and occasionally with a little eerie charm. There’s a wonderful balance of lighthearted fun and supernatural mischief, and while there’s no grand overarching storyline, the interconnected world makes the comics feel cohesive. Some strips are simple but delightful, while others hint at deeper worldbuilding that leaves you wanting more.

Character: ★★★★★
One of the most impressive things about ZomCom’ics is how expressive and lovable the characters are, despite the silent format. Each one has a distinct personality that shines through purely via body language, expressions, and interactions. Whether it’s the mischievous undead, quirky supernatural beings, or even background characters, they all feel alive (or undead, in some cases). You grow attached to them quickly, and even in short segments, they leave an impact.

Setting: ★★★★☆
The world of ‘ZomCom’ics’ is a delightful blend of spooky and cozy, filled with supernatural creatures, eerie locations, and a playful Halloween-esque atmosphere. The settings are varied and beautifully drawn, adding depth to the short narratives. It’s not an overly dark or scary world - instead, it leans into a more whimsical, comforting take on the supernatural, making it perfect for those who enjoy gothic aesthetics with a softer edge.

Illustration: ★★★★★
The artwork is truly the highlight of the comic. Garrucho’s illustrations are expressive, detailed, and bursting with personality. The use of clean lines, dynamic character designs, and well-thought-out panel composition ensures that every scene flows naturally. The balance of light and shadow, along with the charmingly spooky aesthetic, creates an atmosphere that’s both fun and immersive. Even without words, you can “hear” the emotions and actions just by looking at the panels. The art style suits the theme perfectly, and it’s clear that a lot of love and effort went into every detail.

Engagement: ★★★★★
Despite being wordless, ‘ZomCom’ics’ is incredibly engaging. The pacing is smooth, and each comic invites you to linger over the details, appreciating the expressions and tiny visual gags that might be easy to miss at first glance. It’s the kind of book you can pick up and flip through at any time, and each re-read brings something new to appreciate. There’s never a dull moment, and it’s easy to get lost in the world the creator has built.

Readability: ★★★★☆
For the most part, the storytelling flows effortlessly from panel to panel, making it easy to follow along. However, since it’s a silent comic, readers unfamiliar with the format might need a moment to adjust to tracking the visual cues rather than relying on dialogue or narration. That being said, the expressive nature of the characters makes it accessible, even for those new to wordless storytelling.

Enjoyment: ★★★★★
‘ZomCom’ics’ is an absolute delight to read. It’s cute, funny, a little spooky, and bursting with charm. Whether you’re in the mood for something heartwarming, something mischievous, or just a visually stunning escape, this comic delivers. It’s the kind of book you can revisit time and time again, and it never loses its charm.

A beautifully illustrated, delightfully spooky, and endlessly charming silent comic, ‘ZomCom’ics’ is a must-read for fans of supernatural whimsy. Emi Mena Garrucho masterfully tells stories without words, making each moment engaging and expressive. If you love gothic aesthetics, adorable supernatural creatures, and the magic of visual storytelling, this is a perfect addition to your collection.

thought this was well executed and had some creative ideas! I found myself enjoying the wordless format more than I expected to. A low-stakes, funny collection :)

These comics are short and sweet and overall very funny! There were a few that I had to think for a minute to get and maybe one or two that I’m not sure I understood at all. I would love to see more from this series

I got this as an arc on Netgalley and it will come out in April. This was very funny. It's a non talk comics but the message and meaning was clear regardless. I enjoyed this immensely.

This comic features the every day adventures of friends who are supernatural (werewolf, zombie), with merely the use of action rather than words. I thought this ARC was really cute and I loved the author's art style! (The werewolf and zombie girl's relationship was my favorite part of the novel)

ZomCom'ics was a hilarious read ❤️ I have been in love with these comics for some time and getting to see them all together was great.

There were so many new ones that I haven't seen before and fall deeper in love. The book brings out a wide range of magical creatures and the crazy things they get up too. I highly recommend this book to those that love a mini Adventure on every page.

ZomCom'ics is a wordless comic collection that is sure to have you laughing out loud as you experience each of the comics funny moments. Each of the comics strips telling a funny short story of the characters shenanigans and hilarious experiences.

I have no words to describe this book (aha). It's so much fun to give your own voice to what each of the characters is saying at any given moment.

I had never heard of ZomCom'ics before so I really enjoyed the compilation of the comic strips as my first introduction. I had a lot of laughs and a lot of fun flipping through the comics. I'd recommend this to anyone who love to allow their imagination to come to life while reading.
