Description
Your date with Marietta local Beau Bennett includes a day on the slopes at Big Sky Resort, complete with a sumptuous meal in the Resort’s fanciest fine dining restaurant and door-to-door transport. Dig deep to secure the attentions of one of Montana’s most eligible – and elusive – bachelors.
Lily Taylor knows Beau Bennett dislikes her, but that won’t stop her from asking him to volunteer for the Bachelor Auction she’s organized to help her friend Molly provide for her tragically injured son, Josh. If Beau’s gorgeous face, piercing blue eyes and chiseled body inspires the women of Marietta to dig into their pockets for a good cause, then Lily will do whatever it takes to secure his participation.
Beau Bennett isn’t sure how he wound up on the auction block being eyed up by hundreds of eager women, but he knows who to blame for it – Lily Taylor, the sexy, distracting, off-limits best friend of his kid sister. As far as he’s concerned, the sooner this nightmare is over, the better.
The last thing either of them expects is for Lily to wind up bidding on – and winning – Beau, or that their date will lead to Beau stepping in to save Lily when her past comes back to haunt her. As Beau does his best to keep Lily safe, they discover that maybe they don’t dislike each other quite as much as they thought.
In fact, maybe it’s just the opposite…

I loved everything about Bound to the Bachelor by Sarah Mayberry. The well-developed characters, the intense plot and the lustful, yet loving sex scenes, were all balanced wonderfully to create this fast-paced read. The story was so enthralling, I could not put it down. Ms. Mayberry and Tule Publishing have another winner!
Lily Taylor had no choice but to leave her home when she was only sixteen. Her stepfather was sexually harassing her and it was only a matter of time before he overpowered her and took what he wanted. Lily ended up settling in the small town of Marietta, after saving all the money she earned as a stripper. Lily is now an administrative assistant, with a heart of gold and a passion to help others. She has a few really good friends and will do anything for them, which includes organizing a charitable bachelor auction and bidding her entire unwanted inheritance on Beau Bennett, a good-looking security expert and her best friend's brother. Lily and Beau's relationship has always been prickly, due to the fact that they both harbor feelings for one another.
Ms. Mayberry packs a lot of excitement into this love story and I really liked the way she evolved Lily and Beau's relationship. Their forced date turned into something much greater than either of them could have ever imagined. Overall, this is a hot, slightly suspenseful read that twists and turns in all the right places.

I LOVED this book. IT was wonderful, every second was fantastic. I had read the first book by the author about sister Andie and Heath and you could totally see her BFF who is the heroine in this story, Lily had a thing for her brother Beau and vice versa.
This book was super fun, has some great suspense and made me laugh at some points. I loved both characters and I only had one complaint I wanted more. I loved how they fell in love and how they are so honest with each other throughout the book. And when Lily says " I want Beau" I died with Andie.
I am not spoiling anything with this story because its so great, really one of the best Murietta stories I have read and I really enjoyed Andie's story but this one was fantastic.
Probably my favorite of the three books featuring the bachelor auction. I liked the dislike hiding attraction turning to love aspect of the plot.
I received a copy in exchange for an honest review well loved it. Beau & Lily exactly the same both stubborn always need to be right and must always go their way no matter what. I want to live in that town all the guys are way too hot. Beau is the alpha male and I love how he goes to protect Lily and how their feelings come out after 5 years. Awesome story
This is the first book I've read of the Marietta books and I fell in love with Beau and Lily. They are both strong characters and well rounded. It was a nice light read with some sweet and some hot sex scenes. The dynamics of their relationship moved along nicely and when they finally tell each other they love each other it was so sweet it brought tears to my eyes. The step brother storyline touched on a subject that's occurring more and more in the world although it damaged Lily it didn't break her and showed the resilience of some victims. It wasn't overpowering in the plot it was substantial and always in the back of the reAders minds.
I want to thank the publishers (Tule publishing) for allowing me this opportunity to read this in advance for and honest review it was definitely a winner in my book😃

I really enjoyed this.
It was a short read, but I really really liked both main characters.
There was something very real and honest about them as characters, people you could imagine actually living somewhere in the world.
Beau was a little bit grumpy, but I loved him. And Lily was a great character.
I really enjoyed there story and could easily have read a full length novel about them. The "I Love You" at the end - maybe it did feel a little "soon" since the book take place over a couple of weeks, but they had a years long history so it did not feel to unreal. Just maybe a little bit more page time about their long denied attraction might have helped make it feel a touch more real.
All in a great 4 stars and I will be checking out more by this author.
I have thoroughly enjoyed all the Montana Born Books that I’ve read in the last six months and this one in no exception!
Molly’s son, Josh, has been injured in a serious accident resulting in him now being unable to walk. Her friends, led by Lily Taylor, want to help them so have arranged an event to help raise money to help modify their home to make it more accessible for Josh and to help them generally. The event is something special - they are going to auction off dates with some of the town’s most eligible bachelors! The men concerned aren’t quite sure how they’ve been talked, cajoled or manipulated into agreeing to this, especially the brother of Lily’s best friend, Beau Bennett.
Lily is a lady with a tragic past which few know about but it is about to come back to haunt her again as her step father has died and left her a tidy sum. She left home when she was sixteen to stop him being able to rape her so she certainly doesn’t mourn him, nor does she want his money. She knows that Molly wouldn’t accept it as a gift so decides to use it to bid for Beau, despite the fact that she knows he dislikes her.
Is this a case of opposites attract? Are they actually both fighting mutual attraction? Her legacy also means that someone else will return to her life - and not with good intentions! Can she escape his clutches?
This story is a fast paced, romance seasoned with a good dose of threat, mystery and danger. A winning recipe as far as I’m concerned! I liked that Beau was prepared to enable Lily learn how to use self defence to help protect herself as well as wanting to protect her.
Ms. Mayberry had done a great job with the book. Interesting storyline. Loved the characters.
This was an awesome start to a new series! I loved this story. It had all of my favorite things in romance. Secret love for a friend's sibling, love/hate banter, a nefarious villain, it was so good!
Lily was a great character. She was the good girl with a bad reputation. She was spunky and vulnerable and very easy to like.
Beau was hot, Alpha, and uber protective, What's not to love?!
This story was a huge hit with me. I'm hoping the rest of the series is as wonderful.

Bound to the Bachelor is an emotional read. Ms. Mayberry manages to tug at your heart strings with a delicate subject matter. She also manages to make you root for the two main characters to find their way to each other. Received this book for an honest review.
This was such a cute, romantic book! I really loved the characters of Lily and Beau. I loved their spunk and fun personalities; they were perfect together! I also really liked the tension that built up before they finally got together. When they finally got together, their heat was off the charts! I enjoyed the small town feel and other memorable characters. A quick read, but well worth it, I look forward to reading more by the author and this town. I would definitely recommend it!
4 - "You make those noises in yoga class?" Stars!
Bound to the Bachelor offers and exemplary start in the new Tule Publishing Montana Born Bachelor Auction Series. Sarah Mayberry has done the one thing that takes a novella from good to great for me, and that is write a story that whilst reading doesn't actually feel like it is a novella. The story-line, the characters and the overall development were so well done that you just get lost in reading it.
"The man-whore and the nun."
Lily and Beau's adventure together offered so many facets that I fell in love with them and the town of Marietta, Montana completely. I was laughing at points, the sex is hot and plentiful and the story offers more thrills and spills than you would initially expect.
"Spooning. It always leads to forking."
The auction has taken place, and now five more Bachelors have got dates to organise, and stories to be told, with the women who bought them for Charity, can't wait. Onto book two for me!

Hot Hunky guys ...an auction for a great cause and a surprising amount of money all are tied together in a heart felt tale of love and understanding.
Bound to the Bachelor Sultry, sexy and sassy, this book kept me turning the pages. Both Lily and Beau exude sex appeal. Both have fantasised about the other for five years but resisted the attraction. Bot are rather surprised when they finally find there is more to the attraction than pure animal magnetism. I enjoyed this book although I was a little disappointed with the last few pages which seemed to me to have been tied up a little too neatly. Still overall this book is well written and a good read.
WOW where do I start with this book in one word AMAZING!!! Lily has been on the run since she was 16 and that has not stopped her from living the life on a day to day bases not hoping for much from tomorrow. Beau has spent the last five years working hard with little on his mind then getting his business into the black. He feels like he always has a verbal sparring partner when it comes to Lily. When he feels tricked by her he is not happy but he never backs out on his word and this time he won’t even if he feels like it. From the first chapter to the last page the chemistry is so strong that if has you turning the pages to find out what is going to happen. This read is short and sweet but has a lot of action that you find yourself left wanting so much more. This is such a fun love story and Marrietta is back so you find yourself getting caught up just a little in the wonderful town in Montana.
This was a really quick enjoyable read. It is very well written and I loved all the characters. I loved Lily's quick wit and beau's ability to give it right back. This was my first book by this author and I will be looking for more of work.
I was given a copy by the publisher via Netgalley in exchange for an honest review.
This was very cute story between Lily and Beau.. They had a chemistry from the very beginning. I did like Lily and Beau from the beginning.. It wasn't all about their romance. Lily had group of friends and her past catching up to her. Beau trying to protect her and finally admitting his feelings for her. It was short but fun. I would recommend it. I can't wait to read the next one.
Opening Lines
"Go in there, ask the question, deal with his answer. Easy peasy."
Or so she thought! Now THIS was an enjoyable read! This was my first time reading anything published by Tule, and I will definitely be adding them to my list of favourite publishers on NetGalley. This was a quick read (only 184 pages) that left me wanting more! I found Bound to the Bachelor to be such a refreshing read. It was realistic, cute, funny, and had elements that I just didn't see coming! There were so many moments that had me smiling and giggling. And the attraction between Lily Taylor and Beau Bennett...WOWZERS!!
"His hand lay palm up on the table between them, waiting for hers. Feeling ridiculously nervous, she reached out and set her hand in his. His gaze pinned to her face, he turned her hand over, his thumb sliding sensually across her palm. A jolt of electric awareness raced up her arm and through her body, setting off fireworks in places that hadn’t seen a man in more than a year.
“That’s why I keep my distance,” he said, his voice very deep."
Lily and Beau were quite the pair! Beau is just hot. Poor guy has been walking a thin line trying to keep Lily at a distance, and it ain't easy fighting that kind of attraction! I loved Beau from beginning to end, there wasn't a moment that I found him to be that "annoying hero" type. He's just PERFECT. Now Lily just thinks Beau hates her and that's why he keeps his distance, boy oh boy was she ever wrong! I automatically loved Lily, she's the kind of girl I want as my best friend! My heart broke when we learn about her past and the horrible things she's had to endure, but she doesn't let it ruin her! She's a strong character that has a lot of sassy :).
While there wasn't anything I necessarily hated about Bound to the Bachelor there was only one thing that I wasn’t too impressed with. I felt like Lily and Beau's relationship quickly turned into insta-love. There has always been a intense attraction between Lily and Beau but I felt like the last chapter/ending wasn’t well developed in terms of their relationship.
One bachelor down, 5 more to go!!
Loved this story! Marietta's latest fund raising activity is a bachelor auction and 6 hot bachelors are up for grabs. In this book Beau Bennett is won by event organizer and Beau's personal nemesis Lily Taylor. Why she would bid such an ungodly amount of money on him he couldn't understand but he's determined to give her her money's worth on their date. I found this to be a quick, fun, sexy read and was completely entertained by it. I definitely recommend it.
Bound to the Bachelor by Sarah Maberry was an adorable, fast read. This story was a typical story of two people who avoid each other in order to deny their attraction, but it has a twist. I enjoyed how surly and sarcastic Lily & Beau were to each other in the beginning and then how their relationship transformed as they fell in love. The threat to Lily propelled the feelings of this couple, and helped move the story along while adding dimension at the same time. I also enjoyed finding out a bit more about Andi & Heath, who were in a previous Marietta book. I give this book 4 stars along with a strong recommendation to read.
Quick, easy read. I'm a big fan of Sarah Mayberry's books. She writes easy to relate characters. They are flawed and they don't always make the right decision but I always ALWAYS end up rooting for them.
For such a short book, the character development and the build-up between Lily and Beau is stellar. A testament to Mayberry's skill as a writer and story-teller.
What a wonderful way to start off the new series of the Bachelor Auction. This is a fast paced sweet but steamy romance, that will keep you turning the pages.
Loved the characters of Beau and Lily. Lily is in need of one more bachelor at the auction so she gets her best friend's brother to agree. Lily has decided to pay an ungodly amount of money on Beau, to help a good cause. Beau plans on giving Lily at date that she will not forget, but how can sparks fly between them. Lily does not want to ruin her friendship. A little suspense from Lily's past adds to the story.
I highly recommend this book, can't wait to read the rest of the bachelor series.
Tis’ one of the really romantic books I’ve read this month of Love. If I do have ten thousand grand right now, I’ll bid for Beau Bennett immediately, no questions asked!
Bound to the Bachelor is the first book in the Montana Born Bachelor Auction series. Lily Taylor asked Beau Bennett, as well as other hot bachelors of Marietta, to participate in a Bachelor Auction, to raise funds for their friend, Molly & son Josh who was recently involved in a tragic accident. Long before this auction bid took place, Lily & Beau had tried really hard to get away from each other. I basically didn’t really know what made Beau dislike Lily so much; is it just because she’s got the notorious reputation of being a stripper/exotic lap dancer once? I say, he was quite judgmental if that was his reason for avoiding her. But as the story progressed, we learned the real reason why Beau couldn’t trust his heart to be near her.
On the other hand, Lily’s past found its way to come back and haunt her, ultimately putting her life in danger. An inheritance of some sort, amounting to ten thousand dollars, shook up Lily’s nerves, and brought about the memories of her past. To get away from it all, she decided to use the money to bid on Beau Bennett. And their lives took a spin from thereon.
I like happy endings, I crave for it every now and then. The author knew how to make readers swoon for the guy and cry with the girl. This book melts my heart, Lily & Beau have the perfect chemistry. Although their instant love connection and profession of love at the end of the book was too soon, I still liked that “having butterflies in my stomach” feeling after reading their book. It’s my first Sarah Mayberry book and hopefully, not the last.
This is just a delightful read. I enjoyed everything about Bound to the Bachelor by Sarah Mayberry. The main characters, Lily and Beau are the sort of people who would expect to be attracted to each other and then fight the pull of that attraction. They are pragmatic survivors, making the most of what life has thrown at them. For such a short novella, there is good character development. With the great characterization there is a smoothly written plot that stays strong and interesting.
This visit to Marietta, Montana for the Bachelor Auction to help an injured boy, Josh, is a wonderful branching off from the regular cowboy books that have featured this town. I enjoyed this trip there very much. This story sets up the ones that feature the other bachelors who were willing to donate their time and a date to raise money. A very enticing start.
My only concern is story references of the local ladies who had rejected Lily because of her past. (True religion is to help the widows and the fatherless not look down at them with self-righteousness.) Lily had done the best that she could do to survive. In fact, she would have been better off without a stepfather. I couldn’t help but wonder if this book example of judgmental attitude came from a real life experience. I guess this is a reminder that no place is perfect; not even Marietta.
This sexy story, part of the new Bachelor series from Tule publishing with several different authors starts us off with the story of Lily, the organizer of a charity bachelor auction and Beau, her best friend's brother. Beau and Lily take pains to avoid each other, with Lily under the assumption that Beau just doesn't like her based on their limited encounters. But when Lily bids on him at the auction for personal reasons, he's determined to give her her money's worth. The only problem? Once they spend some time alone together the reasons for their continued animosity fall away and the sexual chemistry they've both tried to bury comes to the surface. But while one date won't keep them together, Lily's past comes back with a vengeance and Beau finds himself ready and willing to defend the woman who has haunted his dreams, if she'll give him the chance.
I really enjoyed this story! Sarah Mayberry writes interesting and engaging characters and she's done it in spades here, with feisty Lily holding her own in a small town that she's fought hard to accept her despite her past. But while Lily on the surface is strong and determined, she's also sweet and caring and willing to put herself on the line for others, including bidding on her nemesis. Beau is a handsome, strong, and all around nice-guy - except with Lily. When they finally come together alone as equals , the sexual attraction between them is strong and the ensuing love scenes between them are hot and emotional. Beau's protective side is in full force when Lily is threatened by her past and she is strong enough to admit that she needs help, and even more so, that she wants it from him. I loved how their romance developed, the passion between them and the happy ending that results. 5 stars for an entertaining and fun read. I'm looking forward to reading more in this series!
I enjoyed this novella.. A quick entertaining read. I thought there would be more of a focus on the bachelor auction, but it was merely the jumping off point for Lily and Beau. While all of the problems and issues were quick to be resolved it didn't feel rushed or incomplete. A satisfying romance that left me with a smile.
I really enjoyed this story! It’s well written and fun with excellent characters who have great chemistry. Beau and Lily don’t really get along very well but it’s not because they don’t like each other it’s because they have this amazing chemistry and neither is ready to face what that means. I loved watching these two overcome their fears and challenges to take a chance on the love that is right there waiting to be claimed. If you’re looking for a fun way to while away a couple hours this book is a good way to go. I received an ARC of this book from the publisher through Net Galley in exchange for an honest review.
Beau Bennett and Lily Taylor are the last two people you will expect to hook up. Handsome security expert Beau Bennett is Marietta’s playboy while Lily Taylor does not even date. So, when Lily bid and won Beau in the Bachelors Auction charity event, everyone was surprised, including Beau and Lily!
Except Andie, Beau’s baby sister who had always believed that there was something between her best girlfriend and her brother. And when someone from Lily’s past threatens her safety, it was Beau who was first in the scene to save Lily.
So, Andie might be right after all, except that Lily and Beau have to survive the threat before they can think of a happily ever after.
Great storytelling and character development; Beau and Lily are so lovable and so good together. Bound to the Bachelor is Rated M for Mature due to violence and sexual content.
I really enjoyed this book. I liked the plot, the characters, the little mystery, and the HEA. Will look for more from this author
For five years, Lily and Beau have kept their distance to each other, the best way they can, considering a Beau's little sister is Lily's best friend. But it is not that they don't like each other, it's because of the sizzling chemistry and attraction between them, that they avoid each other.
I was pleasantly surprised by this story, because it was more than I expected. I love when that happens. Beau is a true alpha, take charge kind of a man, but he is also caring, tender, and affectionate. Lily has had a rough start in her life, but her snarky and tough attitude, with loving, caring heart have made a survivor and champion. Just when Lily and Beau come back from their Bachelor Auction date, Lily's past comes knocking on her door. The attack, danger and threat gives new dimensions into the story. Beau's need to protect and take care of Lily is endearing. The hidden feelings of attraction start to grow, as the passion takes over. Soon Lily and Beau find themselves falling, and falling hard. Lily and Beau are scorching hot together, as well as tender, caring and loving. There's a lot of story packed into a novella here, it is well written, with a nice flow in the story, entertaining, fun dialog, Beau and Lily are adorable together, and the danger elements give interesting layers into the tale
~ Four Spoons
Beau is an ex Marine who now runs his own business. He has the reputation of being a womaniser with no intention of settling down, his main point of focus being his business.
Lily is the Beau's sister's best friend and and it would appear that Beau and Lily are not too fond of each other. Lily is organising a batchlor charity auction for her godson who is badly injured. Thinking that Beau is a perfect candidate with his good looks and perfect build, she plucks up courage to approach and convince him into taking part. Beau is not too happy but agrees to take part as the money raised is going to a good cause. Just before the auction, Lily receives news from her past which prompts her to bid for Beau at the auction. He is as surprised as she is about the bid but decides to honour the planned date at a ski resort for a day even though they are both reluctant and can't wait for the day to be over and done with.
When Lily is attacked on their return from the resort, Beau steps in to save her. They discover that their dislike for each other is not as bad as they thought, in fact the chemistry between them tells a different story.
This is a very interesting and easy to read romance which flows nicely and I look forward to read the next story in this series.
I received this book from NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.
I really enjoyed reading Bound to the Bachelor. It was so cute and loved the idea of auctioning off hot bachelors for a great cause. The writing by Sarah Mayberry was great. This is the first book I have read from her and it will not be the last. I loved the hate hate between Lily and Beau in the beginning and of course loved it even more when it turned to love love! The chemistry between them was so flipping cute! I have recommended thus book to our blog followers!
This little story put a WIDE smile on my face. The story concept was cute and fun to get into. The storyline was told with humor and all the characters were just charming! I laughed a lot thru this story. It's a great end of day relaxing kinda book :) No drama (well maybe a little lol), just plain ol' fun :)
pick this up, you'll enjoy it!

Bound to the Bachelor is the first book in a new series by Tule Publishing Montana Born Bachelor Auction series and it was a great start to the series.
I love Sarah Mayberry's writing style Bound to the Bachelor is another great book by her.
Lily is trying to help her best friend Molly to raise enough money to help her pay for her son Josh medical bills since he was in an accident a few months ago and the treatment he needs is expensive.
Lily decide to have a bachelor auction and she knows that if Beau Bennett will be one of the bachelors it will help her a lot and she'll be able to raise more money but it's going to be hard to convince him to be part of the auction since he doesn't like her.
Beau can't believe he let Lily talk him into being art of the bachelors auction but than again he just couldn't say no after hearing the cause for the auction was raising money for Josh and Molly.
When Molly find out that she received 10,000 $ from her step father she doesn't want to take the money but than she realize that she can use the money to buy a date with one of the bachelors and that way she'll help her friend Molly and she'll have to accept the money,.
Molly end up paying 10,000 $ for a date with Beau but she doesn't plan to go on a date with but but Beau has other plans and he insist to take her skying as part of the date she won.
It turns out that under the dislike there is a strong chemistry between Lily and Beau and as much as they try to deny the strong chemistry between them it's not working.
When Lily's past comes back to haunt her Beau will do anything to keep her safe and in the process make her see that they can have a real future together.
I enjoyed reading about Lily and Beau, the chemistry between them is very strong and the sex scenes were hot and sexy.
The story was also funny but also emotional, esically the parts about Lily's past .
I really enjoyed reading Bound to the Bachelor and I can't wait to read more books in the series
Gee, I enjoyed this story. Once again, we get to meet some wonderfully vibrant and real characters, who behave like normal people, and I couldn't be happier.
Lily is flippin' awesome! She owns her past, and is strong-willed, but she also has a vulnerability about her. I loved that she wasn't too proud to ask for help when she needed it. You can see how much Lily wants acceptance from the people of Marietta, but I love that she doesn't deny who she is, and was, in the process.
Beau, Beau, Beau...another wearer of the Captain Sexypants. He is a good guy, protective and solid, a perfect match for Lily (even if they both don't see that straight away).
I adore romances where the hero and heroine are initially like oil and water - the good old "I hate you, I love you" enemies-to-lovers vibe. Those of you who read Sarah Mayberry as much as I do, you will know how good her friends-to-lovers stories are. Her enemies-to-lovers are just as good. Interesting, believable people, with incredible chemistry, Lily and Beau will definitely earn a place on my favourite couples list.
This is a wonderful way to kick off the Bachelor Auction series, and I loved getting to catch a glimpse of characters past, and some people whose stories are begging to be told.
As I say just about every time I read one of your books, Sarah, keep doing what you're doing, because you do it so freakin' well! Bound to The Bachelor is a definite 5-star favourite!
This was a quick little read and a perfect start to a new series from Montana Born Books.
Beau Bennett has reluctantly agreed to be auctioned off in the bachelor’s auction that Lily Taylor arranged. He’s always made sure to avoid Lily, his sisters best friend, and she’s done the same with him. So, when Lily spends an outrageous sum to purchase a date with Beau, both are surprised and Lily does her best to get out of the date. Although Beau’s not about to let her off the hook that easily.
As a person from Lily’s past arrives in town, Beau’s desire to protect her has the two of them growing closer.
Lily was an interesting character. She was forced to leave home at a young age and ended up becoming a stripper before settling into Marietta. She’s had to deal with people judging her for her past and she’s convinced that it’s the reason Beau doesn’t like her.
Beau’s an ex-marine who’s started his own security firm. He’s been content to live life as a lone wolf and it’s earned him the reputation of being a womanizer. So it was interesting watching him navigate his relationship with Lily.
I liked that both Lily and Beau were snarky towards each other at the start of this novel. While not exactly an enemies-to-lovers scenario, they defiantly did not get along at the start and it was interesting to watch the two of them grow closer.
While this is a novella, I felt that the author wrapped up the plot nicely. The flow was steady, the characters well-developed, and the chemistry flew off the pages.
Overall, I truly liked Bound To The Bachelor. The characters were engaging and the romance had some steamy moments. It was a fantastic start to the Bachelor Auction Series.
n spite of being a typical romance story Bound to the Bachelor has a twist. The male lead, Brett owns a security company and that comes in handy as the female lead Lily has a dark past that has come back to haunt her. The feelings that he two of them have ben avoiding for so many years must be confronted and what result is an explosive and soul connecting romance.
Delightful start to a new seriies with " Bound to the Bachelor", The Author Sarah Mayberry , has penned a wonderfully flowing story with great sexual tension, a cute storyline and a HEA ! Lily Taylor is determined to raise funds to help her freind Molly and her recently injured and wheelchair bound son and her idea is great, have a bachelor auction, but that means getting bachelors to agree to partcipate ! Which means she is going to have to ask Beau Bennett to partcipate , after all it is not like Marietta is teaming with good looking bachelors, the problem is Beau hates her, Lily really is not sure if it is because his little sister is her best freind and Beau does not like it or if it is her past alone driving his hate.
So , Lily is just going to have to strap on her big girl panties and ask , and Beau would like to refuse but since it is for a good cause he gives in; contrary to Molly's belief it is not that he does not like her, he actually likes her too much, but given he has a relatively new and expanding business he does not have time for a relationship . Sure he is never hort of female Companionship , but he does not want a one night stand with Lily better she think he does not like her.
What neither one of them expected was for Lily to bid on him and with the amount of money that she did; all Lily knew was the money that she inherited from her creepy step father she did not want, and who better to have but her freind Molly , so she bid on the last Bachelor , Beau; knowing Molly would not accept the funds any other way.
Beau insist upon taking Lily on the date she bid on, though Lily tries to beg off but Beau insist , he feels it would be welching on his agreement.
Spending time together onl proves the electricity that exist between them and makes resist it harder, but even as they give in to the attraction Lily's past triesto get in the way , putting Beau into a full on protection mode!
Great resolution to the story , with some suspense and drama along the way .
Arc graciously provided by Tule publishing via Netgalley for an honest review .
Bound To The Bachelor is the first in the Montana Born Bachelor Auction novella series – there are six (6) novellas in the series.
I really enjoyed this novella. While a short story, it really packed a full sized novel sized punch. The story blurb sets up this story quite well. Beyond the introduction is a powerful story about the past not staying where it belongs. And how two stubborn people who have been attracted to each other for five years finally let their walls down enough to let the other see that the sparks between them are worth the risk.
Beau is sexy, hot and underneath the strong man is a guy who just wants to find his forever lady. Since the sparks always fly between he and Lily, it’s a sure bet that if she’d just stop running long enough to take the chance – his wish would come true.
Lily has some serious baggage in her past, but she’s never let it weaken her. She will never be helpless, defenseless or scared again. Lily has recreated herself into a strong, sexy woman who knows that if she gave it a chance Beau could change her world. Is she brave enough to take that particular risk?
Find out for yourself. This one gets a 4 outta 5 on the star rating scale. While short, the story is strong and compelling. You will be rooting for these two to find their happily ever after.
*I received an e-ARC of Bound To The Bachelor from the publisher and NetGalley in exchange for an honest review. That does not change what I think of this novel.*
I’m really enjoying these short love stories of the “Bachelor Auction Series”, brought to readers by Tule Publishing and opening readers to a potpourri of enchanting authors. Centered around Marietta, Montana, the Bachelors Auction Series is a compilation of sexy billionaires and their happily-ever-after stories, warm and brimming with love and family support.
“Bound To The Bachelor” starts off the series as the citizens of Marietta are having a bachelor auction to raise funds for the young Josh, injured in an accident; an auction that has sexy and elusive billionaires up for grabs. Lily Taylor, organizing the auction for her best friend and son, manipulates Beau Bennett, the successful business owner into being part of the auction. Lily and Beau try to stay away from each other, ignoring the sparks that flare between them, every time they are in close proximity. Lily’s past as a stripper to survive when she is a teenager doesn’t sit well with some of the residents, but leaving that life behind and working in Marietta gives her some confidence and she is content with her life now. Having feelings for his sister’s best friend is not on Beau’s agenda, yet he agrees to be part of the auction. And like a true gentleman, when Lily wins him in the auction, he goes out of his way to give her the best date of her life. And that date leads to them giving into feelings for each other and test the boundaries of their attraction and lust.
When a dangerous person from Lily’s past rears his ugly head, Beau goes all the way out to protect his love and make sure she stays right beside him…. forever.
Bound To The Bachelor is a short and fun read, but there is no dearth of passion and love, pain and hurt, insecurities and uncertainties that make this a really good read. Spunky and witty, Lily keeps Beau on his toes and readers loving her for her warmth and friendship as well. All alpha and arrogant, Beau gives Lily sleepless nights of dreams for a future she may never have, and leaves us readers wanting a person like Beau in our life, protective, charming and caring.
“Bound To The Bachelor” is a fun and warm story from Sarah Mayberry and hoping to read her more of her. She’s done a find job of creating this charming and enticing love story and keeps you happy. A definite five starry read for me!

I enjoyed this book. Lilly (a woman with a past) organized a Bachelor auction to help a friend and her child financially with medical expenses. Lily and Beau have been fighting their attraction under the guise that they hated each other. Lilly receives an inheritance she does not want so she decides to use it to help her friend and bid on Beau. Meanwhile Lilly's stepbrother wants her inheritance and will not take no for an answer. This brings Beau and Lilly closer.
Why did I want to read it?
It's Sarah Mayberry. And I'll read everything this woman writes. lol :) I know that I am anticipating her next self-published work the most but I'm glad that she's given us this sweet-looking story in the Montana Born series.
What worked for me?
I've 'met' Beau and Lily in Sarah Mayberry's previous Montana book, Make-Believe Wedding, and I knew there was something brewing between those two. All that antagonism or forced indifference does not come from nothing. And what do you know? It totally did not come from nothing. In fact, it came from everything, everything these two are trying so hard to deny and hide.
I love the fact that these two are strongly attracted to each other against their will or better judgment. With that kind of set-up, I love all that tension brewing just below the surface until reveal time.
I also appreciate how they listen to each other. Beyond the silent treatment and the pulling away from temptation decisions they've made about each other in the past, when they do find themselves spending time together, it was sweet that they have each other to talk to, to share their thoughts with.
I do appreciate the little suspense and action that we got in the book. Strong bonds are also formed under these kinds of life-altering situations.
What did not work for me?
I do love reading Beau and Lily's story. But somewhere along the way, I kept commenting in my head that it was lacking that Sarah Mayberry magic. I can't pinpoint exactly where it didn't sit as perfectly with me as her other books. Maybe it was because there was something uneven about the flow of the story. I would have loved it more if I knew more about Lily, more about Beau. I knew them but it also felt like I needed to know more in order to connect to them more.
My over-all take on it?
This was still an enjoyable Sarah Mayberry book. I still enjoy reading her characters but I would have loved to know more about them. Of course the steamy scenes are always steamy and the chemistry between the characters is always there. This is the first in the multi-author series and I'm wondering whether to check out the other bachelors auctioned that night as well. *wink wink*
Love this first book of the series "Bachelor Auction", set in the Copper Mountain, Marietta, Montana world. The hero and heroine have known each other and have politely ignored each other for five years. And then her friends buy her a date at the Bachelor Auction. Of course sparks fly! Love it , love it.
I also love that this series is a continuation of several series that I did not want to end. These series from Tule are from varying authors, so I do love some more than others. Sarah Mayberry is a favorite. These shorter format romances are sweet, and I love the hot guy covers.
I am looking forward to more books in this series.
I did get a complimentary copy from NetGalley and I am working on getting my book blog http://nancykkeepers.blogspot.com/ up and running properly.
Sarah Mayberry did it again! Fantastic read. I could not put it down. Sarah Mayberry is becoming one of my favorite romance writers. She writes characters with such depth and that seems like a difficult thing to do when you have a less than 200 page story. Lily is a heroine to root for in the story. She is truly a good person. We saw a bit of this in Mayberry's previous novella Make-Believe Wedding. And Beau is just a great guy. Who wouldn't be attracted to such a stand up guy. When Lily's put into a threatening situation Beau doesn't just protect her, but teaches her to protect herself. (Loved that part.) It was easy to see the attraction between the characters and the romance had a nice easy build-up. A definite 5 stars for me!
Lily, is the organizer of a charity bachelor auction and Beau, her best friend's brother. is in it.. Beau has had his eyes on her for a while . Beau and Lily take pains to avoid each other, but they both like each other and they try to hid it. Because of the friendship with Beau sister that Lily has .Lily is under the assumption that Beau just doesn't like her based on their limited encounters.
This was a short sweet novella if you like touching stories
I honestly think this was my first Sarah Mayberry book. I know I have some on my TBR because I have heard wonderful things about her writing, but I don't think I've ever gotten to them. Well, guess what? I'll be digging them out of the list and getting to them sooner, because her writing lived up to the hype :)
This was a great fluffy read. Yes there was some drama and tension between Lily and her stepbrther, but the majority of the book was Lily and Beau realizing that they didn't have to fight their attraction to each other. Beau was such a good guy. I'd like to find one like him for myself ;)
Bound to the Bachelor is the first book in the Montana Born Bachelor Auction series. Lily has organized a bachelor auction to raise money for her godson and dear friend Molly. Asking the bachelors to volunteer for the auction was tough enough but not as tough as getting Beau Bennett to agree. For five years both Lili and Beau have harbored a simmering attraction for each other but never acted on it. Now this auction has brought them together in ways neither has anticipated. Bound to the Bachelor was short and sweet and had a simple plot but the excellent writing elevated this novella into something quite unique. The witty and zippy dialogue, the characters of Lili and Beau, the small town where it was all set and the secondary characters all gave it that extra oomph in this contemporary romance. Everything flowed including the plot device of bachelor auction but most of all Bound to the Bachelor worked because of Lili and Beau.
The 1st book in the Montana Born Bachelor Auction series, it functions great as stand-alone but reading the other books will certainly enhance your enjoyment of this. Though this is the first book, it starts with Lily (the auction organizer) recruiting Beau, the last bachelor for the series.
Lily is what you would call the wrong type of girl, a stripper in a former life, she hides her troubled past behind a take-no-prisoners attitude. She is confident, secure in herself and the best friend anyone can have.
Beau is certainly not quite sure about Lily. He's one of the good (and good-looking) guys that everyone seems to swoon for. A split second decision and they are thrown together.
Lots of hot and steamy sex interspersed with pretty witty dialogue and you end up with an engaging book. Quick but satisfying read.
Though this is Book 3 in the Hot Aussie Heroes series, I started with this one and it can definitely stand alone.
Alexia Burton has become a successful actress, but to take her career to the next level she needs sexual confidence that she doesn't have. She has spent all her time concentrating on her career and is still a virgin with no experience with men, and it showed in her audition for the roll that was written for her. To gain the experience she needs, she heads home to Australia, as far from Hollywood as she can get.
Unfortunately, the first handsome man she meets is the one she turned down in high school. In High School, Parker Hargrove thought only of his next conquest, believing no girl would turn him down. Alexia was the first, and he reacted badly and the way he treated her was a big regret for him. When he runs into Alexia he hopes he can make it up to her, and when he finds out why she came home, he throws himself into helping her. As they get closer, Alexia's time runs short. Both of them have lives that are important to them, but half a world apart. Can they make it work, or will it be the quick fling Alexia planned all along?
A cute story, I really enjoyed the characters. They worked well together, and you could see the growth in both. They were realistic in their actions and behaviors, and I think the author developed them well. A fun, quick read with a great setting.
A quick read by a favourite author. Well done opposites attract storyline!
You can never go wrong starting off with a bachelor auction. Raw chemistry is instant between Lily and Beau. The sarcastic banter is natural and loving. Although the love story portion was predictable the suspenseful turn was a lovely unexpected surprise. Off to a great series. My copy was given for an honest review from Netgalley.
Lily Taylor would do anything for those she loves most, so coming up with a bachelor auction to help out one of her best friends and her godson was the least she could do. Rounding up six bachelors to be auctioned off wasn't exactly a piece of cake but she made sure to get guys who would bring in the most money. She's organized the whole affair and has no real plans of bidding until an unexpected inheritance from the one person she loathes makes her decide to put the money to good use and ends up placing a bid on the very man who refuses to have anything to do with her.
Beau Bennett's focus right now is on his security business. He doesn't have time to be in a relationship and he prefers it that way. When he's asked to be part of the bachelor auction that'll benefit a good cause, he can't say "no," but finds himself in a quandary when the winning bid of ten thousand dollars belongs to the one woman he's stayed away from for five years. Her being a former stripper has nothing to do with his choice to remain aloof. If anything, he senses the chemistry between them, and that's exactly why he would rather not get involved with her, lest she be a distraction.
Both Lily and Beau want the date to be a done deal as soon as possible. The last thing they both need is to be around each other longer than absolutely necessary. The chemistry is even more palpable now and being friends is something they're not sure they're going to be able to deal with since it would require being in each other's presence. As soon as the date ends, they'll go their separate ways and life will go back to normal. However, Lily's past is about to return in a way she never expected and Beau's instincts go beyond wanting to be a good friend that will protect her.
Bound to the Bachelor by Sarah Mayberry is the first book in the multi-authored Bachelor Auction series and lays down the foundation for the rest of the books in that it explains what brought the auction about. Lily and Beau are enjoyable main characters, especially since there's a snarkiness between the two of them that belies the attraction that never of them realize is quite mutual. They're also genuinely nice people, willing to do whatever they're able to in order to help out someone they care for. I did find the whole falling in love part a bit too quick but not entirely improbable.
Lily's past is one that involves some measure of abuse so that may be a trigger for some readers, but there is nothing overly graphic about the way the incident and what happens to her in the present. All in all, this was a quick but pleasurable read and one that will make you curious about what happens with the other five bachelors who were part of the auction. This can be read as a standalone, though the story of Beau's sister Andie and her husband Heath can be read in Make-Believe Wedding, but I'm not sure if Lily and Beau are introduced there. Bound to the Bachelor gets 4.5 stars. ♥
I was gifted this book via netgalley in exchange for my honest thoughts and a review.
This is the first in a six part series and whether you read one book or all 6 each can be read as a stand alone.
Iv read a few Sarah Mayberry books and have always loved them she has a great style of romance to her, and i always enjoy her books.
Lily Taylor knows Beau Bennett dislikes her, but that dislike will not stop her from asking him to volunteer for the Bachelor Auction she’s organized to help her good friend Molly this auction is important as its to provide for Molly's tragically injured son, Josh. Lily will stop at nothing to get who she wants for this auction and if Beau’s gorgeous as sin face, piercing jet blue eyes and a chiseled body inspires the women of Marietta to dig deep into their pockets for a good cause, then Lily will do it.
Beau Bennett is unsure at how he wound up on this auction block being eyed up by hundreds of very eager Marietta women, but he sure knows who is to blame for it....
Lily Taylor she is the sexy, very distracting and highly off limits best friend of his little sister. And as far as he’s concerned, the sooner this auction nightmare is over the better ......
But then something happens and its the last thing either of them expects that is for Lily to wind up bidding on him and winning him, he just cant believe it,
When the past comes back to haunt Lily she doesn't expect Beau to be there to save her let alone help her.
It seems there dislike of each other is disappearing and love is forming before there very eyes.
I really enjoyed this book its sweet romantic and sexy i loved Lily shes a go-getter and i adored how Beau helped Lily stand up for herself the way he did.
well written and a very modern take on romance :)
5 Out Of 5 Hearts From Cariad Books
“This is what my grandmother warned me about, you know.”
“What is?” he asked.
“Spooning. It always leads to forking.”
She had a ringside seat as he lost it, the corners of his eyes creasing attractively as he flat-out belly laughed, his gaze alight with amusement.
ARC received from: Netgalley
Rating: 4.5*
Cover: Yay
Trope: Best friend's sibling
Chemistry: Simmering
POV: 3rd Person
One-Sentence Summary: Bachelor auction bonanza
Positives: A really enjoyable, flirty, sexy novella
Negatives: This story suffered from 'instalove'itis.
This was a quick, fun read. Lily and Beau have been avoiding each other, until Lily wins Beau at a bachelor auction and no longer can. The story between these characters was cute and an easy read. While this won't be a book I come back to again and again, I enjoyed it and will continue the series.
**I received an ARC in exchange for my honest opinion**
Lily would do anything for her friend, including asking Beau to be part of the bachelor auction fundraiser benefiting Molly's son Josh. And Beau never backs down from a challenge. So used to avoiding each other, the animosity is so thick you could cut it with a knife. Right before the auction, Lily's past is flung at her with and unexpected windfall from an inheritance--money she refuses to pocket--and she makes a decision to donate it to Molly the only way she can...bid, and win Beau!
But, that's not the only part of her past coming to revisit, and the next part is danger. Beau witnesses and agrees to teach Lily some self-defense. As they play the cat and mouse game of hating each other, they keep getting drawn into each other's lives...and as a surprise to them, their hearts. Saving Lily's life makes them both realize they can't live without each other, and love is more important than anything. Wow, what a story!
I received this book as an ARC for my honest review from Net Galley.
Somehow I stumbled upon this excellent series about a bunch of sexy Bachelors that are being auctioned off for a great cause. I love the idea of the series although it is about the same town and the same auction the books are written by different Authors. With it being written this way you are getting a fresh look from different points of view but all with the same beautiful result. Great idea, Great series!
This is the first book I have read by Susan Mayberry and I loved it. Lily thinks she has left her past far behind her but gets a rude awakening when a check comes in the mail that is burning a whole in her pocket. Knowing that her best friend needs the money Lily uses it to buy the hot and sexy Beau.
Beau knows he is in trouble when Lily shows up asking for favors. Next thing he knows he's up on an auction block and Lily is his highest bidder! Although he tries to deny the attraction between them he cant walk away when he sees that Lily needs help.
This book is funny, sexy and dark but wonderful all at the same time. My heart broke for Lily and her family but thank goodness she had a sexy man by her side to not just protect her but show her what it means to be able to protect yourself.
When her godson Josh suffers a horrific injury and her best friend Molly finds herself in financial need, Lily Taylor decides she needs to do something. Short on cash, but big on ideas she organizes a Bachelor Auction and recruits every single hot guy, wells some get volunteered.
Beau Bennett always has this animosity towards his sister's best friend Lily. It's not so much that he dislikes her, it's that he likes her, but he doesn't want a relationship, so the best thing to do is to avoid her.
Lily knows Beau won't be thrilled to do the auction, but she twists his arm and recruits him anyway. When a blast from the past makes its presence in Lily's present and she inherits $10,000 of what she considers dirty money, she ends up debating how to rid herself of the money and ends up bidding on Beau.
Beau is shocked that Lily bid that much on him, but as they get to know each other a little better Beau realizes he wants a forever with Lily.
The story was sweet and Lily was an incredible character; she's strong, determined and can take care of herself. Her story was so sad and yet she still turns out a great person.
As for Beau, he was your typical guy, but still a descent guy. The back and forth between him and Lily made for a fun and enjoyable read.
Rating 5 out of 5 Read@Book
Bound to the Bachelor(book 1) is part of the Bachelor Auction series. I was able to get an ARC from NetGalley for an honest review.
Lily has been on her own since she was 16. Not letting life get her down and dealing with things as they come. She sets up the Bachelor Auction to help her friend and her son.
Beau has sent the last 5 years avoiding Lily. She talks him into doing the auction. When she bids on him at the last minute for personal reasons. The Sparks start to fly.
Lily and Beau go on their date but after when Lily's past catches up to her they need to deal with how they feel about each other.
This is a warm and nice start to this series.
Bound to the Bachelor was a great read. Sarah Mayberry is a new author to me and this novella held everything I love to find in a full length read. With wonderful characters and a well-paced captivating storyline, I haven’t been left with the feeling of needing any more.
‘The man-whore and the nun.’
I went about this series back to front; whilst this is the first book in the Montana Born Bachelor Auction series, I read the last book first and before this. But this just reinforced the fact that the series can be read in any order or as standalone reads; I’m actually glad I did it this way because Lily had left me intrigued. Funny, stubborn and independent, she is exactly the type of heroine I love and her journey with Beau held humour, tenderness, banter and lots of sexy-time.
‘Why don’t you like me?’
‘I don’t dislike you’.
With moments that made me laugh quite loudly and more action than I was expecting, I lost myself for a couple of hours. Lily and Beau were fabulous together, I adored them and Sarah Mayberry has brought her reader a great addition to the series.
I love this series and this is Lily and Beau's story. Beau is a hot alpha male who's a little suspicious around his little sisters best friend especially her motives in arranging a bachelor auction to help Molly Decker raise funds for her son Josh's recovery. I can't say enough good things about f2f the authors chosen for this series I've loved each 1 of the 6 books so far in the series and I Liverpool's backstory and how she set out on her own and made something of herself. Beau is just everything a girl could want he's hot hard and smart and I want 1.
Sarah Mayberry did a great job setting the foundation for this series. Lily is tenacious and is going to get exactly what she wants. My only wish is that this story didn't ever explain what the animosity was between Beau and Lily.
Bound to the Bachelor is the first book in the Montana Born Bachelor Auction series. And Sarah Mayberry kicks off the series with a sweet and sexy, fast paced story.
I fell for Lily and Beau from the very beginning. With a heart of gold, there isn't anything Lily won't do to help her friend, Molly and her son, Josh. Organizing the bachelor auction and then bidding on her nemesis, her best friend's brother, Beau.
Repeatedly Ms. Mayberry delivers engaging storylines with strong character development that are emotion packed. Bound to the Bachelor is no exception. I loved every word of this one. Can't wait to see what the next Auction story brings.
I love a good enemies/friends book. Both have an attraction to each other but fight it every step of the way! Lily is an organizer of a Charity Bachelor auction and Beau he's one of the Bachelor's up for bid. Beau and Lily are together after she bids and wins Beau is determined to give her the best date ever! When they finally admit the attraction the chemistry between these 2 is fun, sexy and a great read!
This is a book about Lily and Beau, opposites in many ways. They say opposites attract, well they did in this case! This is a story of how an unwanted attraction between two people develops and grows into love.
Lily is the wonderful person that came up with the fundraiser to raise funds to help Molly and her son Josh severely injured in a fall. Lily talks Beau into volunteering to be one of the Bachelors for the auction. Feeling guilty for tricking him into participating, she bids enough to win him herself, with the intent of letting him off the hook. But Beau will not let her.
Ms Mayberry does a phenomenal job writing about her characters. Her writing makes you fall in love with them and care what happens to them. This book is part of a series of books and I want to thank that Net Galley for introducing them to me. They are all phenomenal books.
If you like contemporary romance books you will not be disappointed in this book.
Thank you for reading my review
I loved the chemistry between the H & h in this book. The change in the dynamics of their friendship was great! Wonderful read!
I'm a long-time reader of the Montana Born books. Many are closer to women's fiction than romance so I never know going in what a book will really be like.
Bound to the Bachelor was a pleasant surprise in that it is a romance, with actual sexy times. Lily and Beau are clearly characters that are not new but somehow I missed them previously so I know I missed some of the backstory for them. Despite that, I enjoyed their story.
This is Lily's story more that Beau's and her traumatic childhood has certainly led to difficulties later in life - like a lack of trust. But it has also made her eager to help others. So, when her godson needs financial help, she goes all out to make it happen, and creates the Bachelor Auction. With a bequest from her past, she also "buys" Beau for a date.
It isn't until her past and her present collide violently; however, that she allows Beau into her life in any meaningful way. Once that happens, the story takes on a whole new dimension.
Beau's own past is brought up, but it feels tacked on, a sort of "Beau is hurting too" addition because we can't have only Lily with a difficult past.
I like Sarah Mayberry, but this is not her best work. I struggled to care about either Lily or Beau even while knowing that I *should*. While the sexy times were nice, I also struggled to feel the chemistry between them. Maybe it felt too fast (though it shouldn't have) or maybe there was too much tell and not enough show. Whatever it was, it left me mostly cold. The epilogue helped but it couldn't erase the earlier lack of emotional bite.
Great story line great characters. Author had me hooked from beginning to the end. I really enjoyed this book
Fun, sexy, fluffy read. Perfect for the beach or the pool.
I had mixed reviews about this book. The story line was very enjoyable and didn't falter once. In fact, I couldn't put the book down, I finished it within hours of starting it. It was the spelling, grammar, and the formatting of the book as a WHOLE that was just WRONG. The sentences were broken up while you reading them, the author often left out words (i.e. pronouns) and I felt at times that I had to go back and reread the sentences again and fill in the blanks myself with what the Author MEANT to write. Either she doesn't have a proofreader or they don't know how to use the formatting option on their computer. This was all over the place. BUT the story definitely made up for the missing words, spelling, etc. Which is why I gave it 3 stars and not less.
Lily Taylor is organizing a bachelor auction in her small town of Marietta, Montana. She's doing this for a cause that's near and dear to her heart. Her Godson, Josh, was in a bad accident and is now bound to a wheelchair. Molly, Josh's Mom (and one of Lily's best friends) is swamped in debt from the medical bills to the construction costs that she needs on her home to make it wheelchair friendly. She's sinking fast, yet, she's too proud to take handouts when people offer them. Lily finally talks some sense into her, with Molly being a school teacher and a single mother, she can't be expected to do everything herself, sometimes she needs to rely on her friends, and the community. So Lily comes up with the idea to auction off 6 eligible bachelors to the highest bidder. In return for After spending a lovely day together "the date" the Lily won in the auction, they make a truce over lunch not to "hate" one another anymore. When Lily asks him why he's hated her for the past 5 years, he takes her hand, palm up, traces it with his finger and the electricity makes her gasp. She feels the spark all the way down to her belly. "He tells her that that's the reason why I've stayed away, that connection." He keeps touching her wrist, up to her elbow, where she gasps, and he says "see, it's just too much," and he keeps reminding himself that his sister would be so upset with him. Little does he know, she's been rooting for the 2 of them for the past 5 years!bidding on them, each Bachelor comes up with their own special date.
Lily already has 5 out of 6 men in the auction, when she goes to ask that last guy to be a part, she has second thoughts. Beau Bennett, is her other best friend Andie Bennett's brother, but Beau and Lily despise one another. When they are around each other the insults fly. But what Lily doesn't know, the reason Beau has been so mean to her for the past 5 years is because he is so physically and sexually attracted to her. Beau knows she's a good person regardless what the gossip mills say. Beau knows that Lily is the reason his sister has come out of her quiet shell, she is more outgoing, and had met and married her now-husband because of Lily. She was still Andie's best friend, and his sister would kill him with his reputation as a no-strings-relationship man. One who doesn't get involved in the long run, who likes his freedom. It also meant that Lily was off-limits too. End of story. So he kept her at a FAR distance and made sure they stayed enemies. Lily was clueless, she just thought he hated her like the rest of the town. Lily left home at the age of 16, after the 1st time her step-father tried to rape her. To feed herself, have shelter, and make ends meet, she worked in a strip club, only partially naked for a short time. When the townspeople of Marietta found out that juicy bit of gossip, Lily was never treated the same way again. The men that she worked for and with, including her bosses, tried taking advantage of her in the office. Always trying to bribe her with a little bonus to her paycheck for a little something on the side,
Two hours before the auction, Lily came home after setting up the event to get ready for the evening, her neighbor came over to give Lily her mail that was in the wrong mailbox. Lily opens the letter and it rocks her world, it's on her mind all night, haunting her thoughts. A demon from her past is still trying to control her with his money. Lily didn't want it when she was 16 and she doesn't want it now. She figures that the only way to get rid of it now, is to give it to Molly. Knowing Molly won't take $10,000 from her, the only alternative she has is to bid on a bachelor. When she hears the current amount they're at, NOT WHO they are auctioning, she bids the WHOLE $10,000. When she looks up and sees that it's Beau Bennett that she just won, she is frozen, then she power walks out of the bar and up the stairs--not stopping to talk to anyone. Once upstairs in a closed room, she's then met by an angry/surprised Beau Bennett.
After spending a lovely day together "the date" the Lily won in the auction, they make a truce over lunch not to "hate" one another anymore. Little does he know, she's been rooting for the 2 of them for the past 5 years!
The attraction and sexual chemistry is so strong, these 2 can't figure out how to stay away from each other without attacking one another first. Their chemistry has been suppressed for so long.
Will they act on it? Or will they leave things as is? Read on!!
