Description

Trance is the easiest way to open a direct communication link with your subconscious mind which ultimately controls your weight, size, and shape.

This unusual book is written like a novel using dialogue to tell the story of two couples working with a hypnotherapist to learn how to use self-hypnosis to get the bodies they want. Simply read along and go into trance with them to learn how to use self-hypnosis to access your natural trance state to get the body you want.

The characters and conversations are fictional. They are designed to answer common questions about hypnosis, address issues with weight control, and to keep you engaged while you learn how to use self-hypnosis to achieve your weight, size, and shape goals.

The information about weight control psychology, hypnosis, trance inductions, deepening techniques, and trance work are real and wonderfully effective when completed according to the instructions given. Further, to enhance your feelings of comfort with hypnosis, you’ll do it all with your eyes open using time tested self-hypnosis techniques.

Now you can win the mental game of weight control at the subconscious level and make getting to the weight, size, and shape you want easy, automatic, and permanent.

Love the premise of this book. Having a couple (even if they aren't real) go through it makes it a lot less nerve wracking. Very informative and easy to follow a long with.

I chose this book because I was fascinated by the premise; that I could take some control over weight loss using techniques involving self hypnosis. Since I have read Robert "Bob" DeGroot's writing, I am convinced that I could employ several if not all of the techniques he outlines. I would have liked to have read some case studies involving actual users, but the fictional characters were adequate representations. The process is introduced logically and conversationally. It is rolled out in manageable steps and the reader has a great deal of control over the process and the areas of emphasis. I tried out several of the exercises, and they were clear and user friendly. I especially found the appendix helpful and necessary to success. I can see myself using this book and it's techniques for many avenues in my life where positive imagery is key.

Fascinating book about the power of Self-hypnosis, how to think yourself thin so that your subconscious mind believes that and helps you to obtain your target.

Libro affascinante sulle tecniche di auto-ipnosi da utilizzare per convincere il tuo subconscio che il tuo vero corpo é magro, in modo da aiutarti ad ottenerlo.

THANKS TO NETGALLEY AND DOCTOR HYPNOSIS FOR THE PREVIEW!

Great how-to book on hypnosis and it's many uses. The fictional characters used, helped to keep the book from becoming too clinical. I enjoyed the role playing and found some really useful tips.

REVIEW of Trance Formed Body by Dr Robert De Groot

This book takes a fairly complex subject and presents it in a way that makes the read easy. Almost simplistically easy which may be to its detriment in some ways. I personally liked the dialogue method of presentation.

Dr Bob De Groot plants himself with two couples who all want to lose weight and get healthy. By having them ask questions and seek clarification of self-hypnosis, he is able to explain and emphasise the techniques involved. It actually worked well as a method because instead of straight narrative and then repeating himself, Dr De Groot has a different member of the four say, “I didn’t understand that concept.” And he can then explain it again in a different way. Without the dialogue this would be repetitive and boring.

The techniques are well covered and clear and anyone picking the book up could work out how to change his/her own behaviours to develop a healthy lifestyle. Or indeed adapt the techniques for any behaviour change. De Groot is clear with how it works and what steps are needed so the application of the techniques are here without further expense or study.

The audience of the book are probably intended to be lay people but the book might be useful for practicing hypnotherapists as a way to prepare any nervous patients without frightening them with jargon. I enjoyed the read and learned a few things as well.

I was given a copy of the book by Netgalley in exchange for an honest review.
