I love this book! It is so beautifully illustrated and well written. I enjoy reading it as much as my kids enjoy listening! It's easily digestible for young kids, but not completely watered down. This will definitely be my new go to book to give at baby showers and birthday parties.
Title: The Biggest Story: How the Snake Crusher Brings Us Back to the Garden
Author: Kevin DeYoung
The book was about: This book is about the whole story of the bible. From start (and how the devil comes as the snake in Chapter 3 of Genesis) to where we will be when Jesus returns. The Bible is a big story made up of a lot of smaller stories. Even as adults its important to remember that the Bible is one big story and that the collection of smaller stories all align to create an amazing narrative of God’s redemption plan.
I loved: Every single picture in this book. I have the ebook but wanted to explore and re read just because of the photos that comes within the book. This book has a fresh familiar feel to it. The story of the bible is delivered as a story- just like reading a ‘normal’ book.
Reading this book made me wonder about: I wonder how many people this book will reach. I loved every minute of the book and wanted to share within my small circle of influence, but wish I could do more to express my gratitude for the pictures and the words written by DeYoung.
Overall, the book was: I give the book 5 out of 5 stars!
