Description
The quiet, peaceful town of Garrowville, Pennsylvania had very little crime and no homicides until the tragic murder of Jennifer Stohler, a beloved member of the community. Almost immediately, Michael Stohler, the victim’s husband, is presumed by seemingly everyone, including the Garrowville police, to be the murderer. Gossip, circumstantial evidence, and sensationalist media coverage continually feed that presumption. There is just one problem. He didn’t do it.
But who did? While the police and district attorney are focused solely on the arrest and conviction of their presumed culprit, Michael Stohler hires an attorney to defend him and an investigator to find out what really happened. The race against the clock is on. As the drama in the courthouse is unfolding, will the real killer be identified in time before Michael Stohler is wrongfully convicted of the murder?
"The Courts of Garrowville" is Ken Siegel's first published novel. He also writes for the sports section of the magazine, "Nostalgic America" which can be accessed at www.nostalgicamericamagazine.com. Ken Siegel is originally from New York, and currently resides in Florida with his wife, Heather.

After a few pages into this I came across Sheriff Lumpkin. I immediately thought, the poor sheriff, to be tagged with this unfortunate name. Okay, I admit that I was wrong and the name was appropriate for the sheriff. He lived up to this name. This was a great book. It was well written and thoroughly entertaining. This is a true whodunit, that will keep you guessing until the end. If you are looking for a suspenseful read that will keep you hooked every step of the way, look no further. I will definitely be impatiently waiting for new books by this author. This is his first book and he did a great job in writing it.
When Jennifer Stohler is found murdered, her husband is immediately the first suspect. And the general feeling around town, is that he is the suspect, and the only suspect. Only hiccup with this, he didn't actually do it. The police however doesn't care.
So Michael is left to find the true killer by himself and hires an attorney to help him find the real killer.
The whole book was written in a very fast pace, and it becomes a race against time, the police convicting Michael vs him finding the real killer.
It was a enthralling read and really quick paced. It is recommended for anyone that likes a good who-dun-it!
It took me 2 long weeks to read this book. I don't think it was necessary to write chapters from Michael's prospective, it made the book seem amateurish. I did not enjoy the first 50 percent of the book because I thought Michael would be prosecuted for a crime he did not commit. The rest of the book was excellent when the trial started and I could not put it down.
Struggled with this book. Finishes it but honestly wasn't for me.
The race in on....the clock is ticking! A fast paced thriller that takes you deep into the drama of the Courts and the unfolding of an investigation. I thought I knew the end...but I was so wrong. This Author is now on my Favourite list!
