This is one of the best resources to read when it comes to upcoming titles. I always discover a few books that i have never heard about in this book. If your looking to find out what is coming up and want a sneak peek I highly recommend this.
Thank you for another great addition of Book Buzz! Always such great titles and a great way to get a look into the upcoming books to see what would be good to read in the coming months!
Fantastic selection!! I cannot wait to get the full novels!!
Thank you for yet another detailed, well-crafted, and helpful edition of Buzz Books! I especially love the little summaries that come before each excerpt, so I can quickly and easily see if a title might be for me. This looks like another promising batch; I can't wait to read THE ONE MAN, THE TERRANAUTS, THE ORPHAN'S TALE, NEWS OF THE WORLD, TODAY WILL BE DIFFERENT, LITTLE NOTHING, HISTORY OF WOLVES, MISCHLING, ALL OUR WRONG TODAYS, WE ARE UNPREPARED (which I was stoked to see on NetGalley!), THE COMET SEEKERS, TRUEVINE, HIDDEN FIGURES, and WHERE AM I NOW?.
Wonderful edition of Buzz Books excerpts. This is a great group of titles to choose from; several I have had my eye on for quite some time. Thank you so much for allowing us the opportunity to use!!
Oh so many awesome new.books!! I've added a bunch to my TBR pile and also requested a bunch! What a great way to find new to me authors. My favorite section is the debut authors. I love to explore new and up and coming authors. As soon as I know there is a new Book Buzz I run to it.
Sneak peek at the books coming out this fall, even includes excerpts for each title, and there are a variety of fiction, non-fiction, and debut fiction titles. I found some additions to my TBR list!
This provides a terrific opportunity to see what's coming in the fall and it's great that so many titles can be requested right after reading an excerpt . I requested several titles and am anxiously awaiting the availability of others . Thanks so much for this great planning tool!
As the blurb says, as an avid reader there is nothing like the excitement of receiving a buzz book. It truly is a book to savour as you click excitedly through it looking for interesting books both from authors you know and ones you are yet to discover.
I really like how the book is set out in different genres and then alphabetically which makes it very easy to find books by your favourite authors and books that take your fancy. The excerpts from the top books are great too and let's you try the books first before buying or requesting. This is a must read book for all readers!
Thank you to Netgalley and the publishers for the chance to review this book. I have had a thoroughly enjoyable evening looking through this book!
As an avid reader I'm always looking forward to these Buzz Books excerpts. I've found many wonderful additions to add to my TBR list!
This book is great! I love the chance to sample some of the upcoming titles. I plan to feature several of these books on my blog and hope to read some of them very soon.
Very informative and a great resource for a sneak peek at upcoming book releases!
I am looking forward to checking out these upcoming titles! This book is always a great addition to see what's up and coming. I will be anxiously awaiting my requests to be approved. Thank you for this opportunity!
This is a gift from the book gods...all of them. It helps me to plan my reading and when I can offer my opinions on the gifts of NetGalley and publishers. Thank you!
This is a fantastic resource for all serious readers. There are extracts of several up and coming novels which often have links to galleys for them at the end. That way if you enjoyed an excerpt you can then go and request the full copy. Several of the books in this edition have widgets, so you can read the full book instantly, no waiting for approval required. As ever this book was organised so that you can find what you want and skip over the genres you know won't interest you.
Really awesome resource. Can't wait to get my hands on some of these books. I only wish there were more widgets for titles available on NetGalley!
Such an awesome collection that gives readers the opportunity to not only view upcoming novels but also read an excerpt. I am definitely looking forward to reading these novels!
A wonderful way to get a sneak peak at what are sure to be the hot titles of this fall and winter. My TBR thanks you!
This list is a godsend to reviewers. You get to read about all the upcoming titles, and get a taste of them by reading the excerpts. Not only that, contact information for each writer and the publishing house is also given at the end of each excerpts so that you can contact them for further correspondence.
Thank you ! Can't wait to request all the titles featured in this list.
I really look forward to these books. There are many samples inside of books that are going to be releasing in the fall and I enjoy making a list of all the books whose samples left me wanting to read more. I highly recommend this great resource book!
I love these collections. I told myself I had way too many books to read already and what did I do? I still picked this up. And yes I requested a few of them. This collection is heavy with World War Two fiction if that is something that interests you..then you hit the jackpot.
I love these samplers. They are great for staying on top of upcoming releases, but also for finding some new-to-you authors who might end up becoming favorites. So many things to look forward to!
Once again a sublime selection of noteworthy fiction and nonfiction. I'm also looking forward to the publications by several debut authors, a special selection which is also included in this sampler.book. Will be marking my calendar, I cannot wait to get my hands on many of these books..
This was my first Buzz Books and now I know what all the buzz is about! Reading the excerpts are a great way to decide on a book and I love knowing what is coming down the pike so I can line up my reading list. Thank you for such a wonderful publication.
Not that I'm looking forward to Fall or Winter , but I want everyone of these books.
This is a great way to get a sneak peak at the upcoming titles for Fall and Winter. It is an awesome resource that includes excerpts from the novels, allowing for avid readers/reviewers to add a whole lot of new titles to the TBR list.
I absolutely love the Buzz Books samplers! They are truly an invaluable resource in choosing titles to request & review!
Once again Buzz Books is here with great recommendations and helpful excerpts from new works by authors like T.C. Boyle and Ann Patchett. Personally, I am looking forward to Marie Benedict's The Other Einstein and have also heard much positive "buzz" about Paulette Jiles' News of the World. And that doesn't even touch the debut fiction -- a baker's dozen set of titles, plus several non-fiction titles spanning a range of subjects.
Great overview of upcoming titles! This is such a great tool for librarians trying to stay ahead of the curve.
Thank you for the chance to taste the new books coming this Fall.
I loved seeing what books are coming out later this year! The sampling was widespread, and I enjoyed hearing about the book debuts as well as authors I'm already familiar with. Lots of books on my to-read list!
I love having this opportunity to read just enough to know those titles I want to read in full. This exciting collection lets me tell our patrons a taste of what is to come!
LOVE this sampler! There are so many books I want to read from this list. I already have The Other Einstein for review.
I love getting to see what books are coming up! These samplers are so invaluable; thank you for doing them every season.
Buzz Books are a great resource for planning, reading, and reviewing upcoming books. I especially appreciate the broad variety of genres included, with books by both debut and well-established authors. A great preview and lots of books to be excited about!
Some very interesting titles inside! Particularly looking forward to reading Ann Patchett, Maria Semple, Marisa Silver, Stephanie Gangi, and Mara Wilson further. I see some definite potential in many of these books to be interesting for our customers. The layout of the Buzz Book is also great in the e-reader format. Very clear and easy to follow. Thanks!
Always look forward to Buzz Books - great for the reading soul but bad for the wallet!
I always look forward to the newest buzz books. I find books that I may normally over look . I have found many fabulous writers. I like that you get an excerpt to get a taste of what to expect
Each time one of these collections turns up on Netgalley I get really, really excited, because I love finding new authors and new books to read. As always, great collection!
This book is awesome for figuring out what future NetGalley books I want to read. Thank you!
Reading Buzz Books 2016: Fall/Winter was like opening all my Christmas gifts in May!!! What an outstanding sampler. So excited to read so many of the books listed.
What a great selection of upcoming novels! Loved reading these chapters, and it made me wish there was more.
This book sampler gave me a chance to read through some possible book samples. I was even able to request a few galleys from NetGalley. I also talked over some of the titles with my friends and husband and we found some books they would like to read. All in all, a great sampler! I had never read through a book sampler before, but this one presented the books well and I would come back to it again next year for some more reading options.
Love this !!! Not only does it feature titles that I would have been salivating over based on the author alone, it also includes some authors who are totally unknown to me. This will be extremely useful to anyone involved in library collection development, as well as anyone just looking for “the good stuff.”
Good work, Publishers Lunch! And thanks to NetGalley for an advance copy in exchange for my honest review. Five stars. Love it!
A great collection of excerpts from upcoming 2016 Fall/Winter releases. The only thing I didn't like was that it reminded me that I will never make my way through my reading list!
It is divided into three categories: Fiction, Debut Fiction, and Nonfiction. Most of the excerpts begins with a cover or author photo. I prefer the cover photos, because I will be able to easily recognize them on NetGalley or at the bookstore. Next there is a mini-summary of each book, followed by the first few chapters. At the end of each excerpt is a short bio of the author and important details about the publication.
Buzz Books made it so easy to figure out what books to add to my list. The excerpts are long enough to give a good sense of writing style. I saw many books that I won't add to my list, but it is nice to be aware of them so I can recommend them for people who would be interested.
The books I'm very excited about:
Fiction: Christina's World, No Witness but the Moon, The Couple Next Door, Today Will Be Different. Little Nothing. I have already read I Will Send Rain and it was 5-Star book for me!
Debut Fiction: The Mothers, The Wangs vs. The World, History of Wolves. Mischling. The Gentleman, All Our Wrong Todays, The Comet Seekers, Only Daughter
Nonfiction: Broken Open, Truevine, Hidden Figures, Where Am I Now?
I recommend Buzz Books for anyone who wants to stay up-to-date on upcoming releases.
I always enjoy reading excerpts from upcoming releases to better determine what will work for me and for the readers who follow my recommendations; thanks so much for the opportunity! There are so many wonderful releases for this fall!
Buzz Books 2016: Fall/Winter, https://www.amazon.com/Buzz-Books-2016-Exclusive-Excerpts-ebook/dp/B01ENSMJJO, is another in the series of excerpts from forthcoming books. I received my digital copy from Netgalley, and I plowed straight through, making a list of "don't miss" new titles. The Couple Next Door, by author Shari Lapena, was especially gripping. It's the unsettling story of a couple whose baby goes missing--while they're downing cocktails next door, at a neighbor's party. Check out Buzz Books for previews of 40 great, new reads.
I always find excellent suggestions and excerpts here. My trusted guide, always!
OMG. This makes me so excited. I hope to have the opportunity to read many of the titles in this book So much to look forward to.
Thanks to Netgalley for an eARC of this book. I love this summary of upcoming titles with links to those available through Netgalley. It is of great assistance as one is trying to sort through the many new titles.
This is amazing! So many good books included can't wait to read them all when they are out.
An excellent collection of previews so now I have a whole list of books to keep an eye out for at the library. I've also told the library about it, so they can see what books they could get in on order for release :) Now my local is signed up to netgalley so they can check out the buzz book samplers too!
I downloaded this edition of Buzz Books as I saw there was an extract of Mara Wilson's upcoming book and wanted to read the extract. I enjoyed reading this and will go on to look at the rest of the extracts. I love the idea of being able to read samplers of the best upcoming books!
I love these publications! I love being able to read excepts before I decide to request something. Keep them coming,
I was so excited to read samples of the books coming out this fall/winter. I'm looking forward to reading the entire books of many of them!
What a great way to determine what new fall books will be at the top of my TBR pile! Many great books by many great authors! Looking forward to many of the new debut authors too.
This is an incredible book that is usually reserved for publishing industry insiders. As both an English teacher and Facebook Literary group leader, it is wonderful to be able to plan ahead to decide what books to teach or to read.
So excited that I was able to get a sneak peek at some of the amazing books coming soon! It is s great that there was a whole section for debut authors. Here are the ones I am most excited to read all the way through -
The Terranauts, The Orphan's Tale, I Will Send Rain, By Gaslight, Today Will Be Different Also...
Things We Have In Common, The Fire By Night, We Are Unprepared, Only Daughter I will definitely be buying some of these the day they are available!
Always glad to see the Buzz Books arrive, but, especially this issue which seemed to contain more links than usual to the books. As a result, I have a whole stack of new books on my Net Galley shelf.
This is the first time I’ve read any of Buzz Books for the “best books of the…” This one includes the upcoming fall through winter releases.
Included are summaries and / or excerpts of some of these next best selections, for those who want to make sure you get them the day they arrive in your local bookstore, or if you want to pre-order from your favorite place to buy books. There are several different genres, with debut writers in their own section. With each book is a mini-biography of the author, which can be especially helpful in the cases of Memoirs / Biographies, and Debut Authors. The excerpts give you a good idea if this is a book that you’ll want to read, invest your time and money in. I’ve already added several to my to-read list!
Many thanks to Publishers Lunch BUZZ BOOKS, NetGalley for providing me with an advance copy to read.
I'm intrigued by a lot of these titles and excited what is to come.
This is an incredible reference book. Fiction, nonfiction and debut books are included along with a brief summary, author bio and generous sample of many books. Because of Buzz Books, I am aware of publication dates. In this case, knowledge is not only power, it is the pleasure of anticipation.
Because of Buzz Books, I time traveled and saw myself curled up with a stack of books!
A great sampler! I am most interested in The Other Einstein, the Terranauts, The One Man, and Mischling.
I love these Buzz Books samplers, There are always several books that I end up adding to my wishlist after going thru the various selections. Keep them coming!
I do love these compilations as I am exposed to writing I would never find on my own and the contrasts in this edition are amazing. Loads of new fiction by established authors (Ann Patchet stands out for me) and debut authors(Affinity Konar looks like one worth watching) but the non fiction caught me this time. Amazing books with my favourites being Lauren Collins "When in French" and Beth Macy's "Truevine". The former is about an intelligent, well established woman who reluctantly follows her husband abroad with no knowledge of the language. The scene with the chimney sweep is brilliant and that alone made me want to read the book. Beth Macy's book is "a true story of the Jim Crow south" and tells of a harrowing episode when two young black children who happened to be albino were kidnapped and exhibited in the circus. the book is the story of how their poor, committed family tries to get them back. Strong writing. An excellent, rewarding series and long may it continue.
I was given copy of this book by netgalley in return for an honest review.
This was my first time requesting a copy of Buzz Books and I'm so glad I've discovered this wonderful book. There were a couple of excerpts included where I was previously aware of the book, but was uncertain if I wanted to read it. Reading these excerpts helped me to make up my mind.
In addition, there were excerpts for many upcoming books that I hadn't heard of, but found interesting and engaging. I have added many books to my want-to-read list!
I like that the book has a short summary of the book before the excerpt, as well as additional information and a link to request following the excerpt. It is perfect formatting and so convenient if you choose to request a book right away. I will definitely be requesting more Buzz Books in the future!
A must-read for anyone who can't wait to get a peek at the upcoming books for Fall/Winter. Excerpts. From different genres, including new authors that you won't want to miss. This preview will have you adding books to your reading list right and left. I think 2016 will go on record add one of the best years in books. Too many good books, too little time. What a wonderful problem to have.
As always, this in an valuable resource in planning reviews, features, and interviews for my blog. It is really nice to have such an extensive overview of major publications.
These previews are my favorite thing - thank you for continuing to put these together! I don't know what I'd do without them. I can't read everything, but sampling so many books in one place is a huge help when it comes to recommending new books!
Great collection! So excited to see what's coming out in the Fall/Winter. If this is any indication, it's going to be some great reading. :)
A wonderful resource for book lovers. I look forward to this every year!
Excellent resource for discovering potential 'must haves.' I'm only halfway through this edition and have already added nearly a dozen to my wishlist. Download at your own risk!
I find the Buzz Books excerpts very helpful when planning our libraries upcoming purchases.
This was my first Buzz Book and I really enjoyed reading excerpts from upcoming books. It's definitely a must-read for people who want to find out about books coming out in the Fall and Winter.
've read a few and look forward to the debut "We Are Unprepared." Very excited about Ann Patchett, which I haven't gotten my hands on an ARC of yet... sigh. It is going to be a lovely Fall/Winter indeed.
A fantastic selection of books to discover and decide if you want to read them. It's such a great way to see what books are coming out!
Overall Impressions: This book had a lot of very similar themes. I notice a LOT of the books featured women that were very powerful characters, which is fantastic, and makes me very excited for the fall/winter book season! I also noticed that there was a lot of historical fiction, particularly WWII books. (There were even WWII Non. fic books!) This is great news for historical fiction fans! They have a lot to look forward to this fall! I generally steer clear of non fiction, but this fall/winter even has some non-fiction I will be keeping an eye out for! ("Truevine" NEEDS to be on my shelf.)
What I loved: In general, I love these Buzz Books compilations! They give me a lot to look forward to and give me an idea of what books to be watching for in stores.
I can hardly wait for "The Other Einstein" to come out! Einstein's wife is the main character, and has been so very ignored in literature and in culture in general. By the end of the excerpt, I was dying to know her better.
I was surprised to find that "The One Man" by Andrew Gross held my attention. I was expecting this to be more of a "skim and move on" blurb, but instead, I found that I was captivated from the very first line. Generally historical fiction is not my go to, but this particular tale of an escape from Auschwitz needs to be on my bookshelf!
Okay. Confession time. I am the WORST when it comes to judging books by their covers. I simply can't help myself.. If it is beautiful, I will buy it. This introduced me to two new covers that I am dying to add to my collection - "The Couple Next Door" (which also seems drama filled and right up my alley) and "By Gaslight". I can't help it. I love them.
What I hated: I wish this book were half its size! I felt like I was learning way too much way too fast, and will probably end up forgetting books that I would have loved to experience.
Like I said, covers do it for me. Which unfortunately means that a cover that doesn't appeal to me is enough for me to not want to pick up the book. "The Gentleman" teaser was humorous and dramatic, but I am not the target audience that cover is aiming for. Frankly, while it did make me snicker, I won't be buying it.
Much like its YA counterpart, I'm always looking forward to the next Buzz Books collection. The only disadvantage of it arriving in May is that I will have to wait to January for the next one.
If you're looking for a great way to sample the upcoming books from the next season. Look no further. For reviewer convenience, many books have links in them to the request page on Netgalley. It was never easier to read book (and never harder to resist).
Whether the books in the collection will be your cup of tea depends a bit. This one wasn't the one with a whole lot of books I just couldn't resist, but that's all the better since in that case I won't have to add them to Mt TBR.
Thanks to the publisher and Netgalley for providing me with a free copy of this book in exchange for an honest review!
As ever, a brilliant roundup and one of my favourite seasonal reads and of course plenty to add to the already groaning wishlist!
Again, love getting to read these excerpts. Thanks for making it a possibility.
Love this book! It is wonderful to review what is coming out and decide ahead of time what interests me. Thanks so much for making it available! Such a time saver!!!
This is a great way to get a heads up on what is coming up for Readers Advisory.
This was a great source of upcoming fiction, and non fiction new releases. I also enjoyed the excerpts, Having so many excerpts in one place is a a great help when deciding which books I may enjoy and request through Netgalley. Thank you.
As usual, an excellent resource that I always look forward to.
I love reading excerpts from new books & Buzz Books provides just the right amount of stories! Of course, there is always the "Wait! I have to know what happens next" moments, which leads to requesting the books, or putting them on hold at my local library. Thank you~
Buzz Books 2016 Fall/Winter is filled with wonderful excerpts and information destined to be useful for the upcoming season. Once again the Buzz Book provides information that cannot be beat anywhere else.
Yet another reason to love Netgalley! A great way to discover new authors and to preview future recommendations.
I love these books and the sneak peak at what's to come in the Fall/Winter for books. I always add tons of books to my reading list. It's one of my go-to books for what to read. I'm so excited about what's to come!
This review is delicious! I'm adding to my TBR pile and excited to read several titles. Thanks for providing the sneak peak!
This is such a great tool for book club members or anyone who is looking for quality reading from current authors. I've already found several I am interested in reading!
This is a terrific publication. The format is effective and easy to use, with helpful links following the excerpts. The editorial content is excellent, including a very good introduction. The buzz books are helpfully divided into fiction, debut fiction, and nonfiction. And such wonderful content! There are excerpts from T. C. Boyle, Ann Patchett, Maria Semple, and many other favorites. And the crop of debut novelists looks very promising indeed. After reading their excerpts, I'm especially looking forward to reading the full books from Nathan Hill and Forrest Leo. This is a great survey of what's headed our way, and I'm very pleased to have been able to sample some of those fine books.
Awesome handy guide I look forward to each season to guide me through all the new and upcoming releases!
Some great excerpts here of books that I would never otherwise have stumbled upon. Just enough of a taster to whet my appetite. It's also interesting to see what's hot and what's going to be huge. A great introduction to authors you may not know, but you'll be glad you were introduced to.
Too many great books to mention them all. I loved "The One Man" by Andrew Gross.
"The Orphan's Tale" and "I Will Send Rain" would be great books for one of my bookclubs. I also loved "commonwealth".
Looking forward to fall/winter reading.
This is the first Buzz Book I have read and Wow, I absolutely love this concept. It was fun to read excerpts from a whole slew of up and coming books in one place-- like taking a whole stack of books from the library and trying to decide which ones you want to read in the comfort of your own home!
This book was chock full of winners and I had to work to keep my list down to a reasonable number. I have books I am about to go request, as soon as I finish writing this, and I am eager to do some great summer reading.
2016 will be a great year for reading!
Great resource! I love having all these excerpts in one place.
Thanks for the samples so we know what to look forward to this fall!
I really love these samplers. They keep me from DNFing so many titles on Netgalley. Thanks for offering them!
I love these snippets of upcoming titles. Sometimes I get hooked and want to finish the book, but always it improves my understanding of the tone of the book, improving reader's advisory!

This is the first Buzz Books I’ve tried, and my only complaint is that my To Be Read pile is growing faster than I can possibly manage!
Publishers Lunch calls itself “the publishing industry’s daily essential read” and also hosts Bookateria “a giant online book discovery store driven by an ‘industry insider’s’ view. Our focus is books making news and building buzz, as we tap into our comprehensive coverage of the books and authors that booksellers, editor, agents, rights-buyers, reviewers and others are talking about. Our own staff catalogs ‘buzz books’ that the industry is touting as new discoveries of note, and some of the other featured Bookateria lists draw on recommendations from a variety of booksellers and bellwether award nominations to connect avid readers everywhere to great reads.
There’s an extensive publishing preview article with a list many pages long of authors and titles to look forward to.
Then comes the fun part, the short blurbs for and excerpts from 40 selected works. Part One: Fiction. Part Two: Debut Fiction. Part Three: Nonfiction.
One that looks good is A Gentleman in Moscow by Amor Towles A Gentleman in Moscow by Amor Towles
Of course, this selection doesn’t include the Romance or Young Adult Buzz Books. I think I’ve got enough here to keep me busy for some time yet.
But you go for it! The Buzz Book catalogues are all available online: http://buzz.publishersmarketplace.com/
Many are also on NetGalley, for any NetGalley reviewers. And thanks to NetGalley and Publishers Lunch for my copy.
I can't think of a better way to preview upcoming releases than to actually be able to read excerpts from them. By this looks of these excerpts, we have some fantastic reads to look forward to this fall and winter. My favorite excerpts were from Maria Semple's 'Today Will Be Different, Ann Patchett's 'Commonwealth', Margot Livesey's Mercury, and Marisa Silver's 'LIttle Nothing.' I hope to be able to review these titles and more on my blog.
I appreciated the opportunity to preview a number of titles and find out what will be published in the upcoming months - thanks for offering these collections! The format and organization are convenient. As a reviews editor, I've made use of the excerpts in deciding which books to request for review. The detailed publisher and publicity information at the end of each excerpt has been helpful as well.
The Buzz Books 2016 is a wonderful way to introduce new titles to readers. I use it for selection and readers advisory. I always find new authors to recommend. I highly recommended reading and using Buzz Book 2016 for fall and winter books.
Some great books being published over the next several months. Many of my favorites including Christina Baker Kline, Maria Semple, Ann Patchett, Michael Chabon, Ron Rash and T.C. Boyle…(I could continue on and on), plus new authors on the scene whose samples made me eager to read their offerings in full. The books’ listing is extensive (over 100) and exciting – so many books choose from for book lovers of all genres. Love reading the Buzz Books collection – a great tool to discover releases before the general public. I am ready to initiate some buzz of my own!
A great round-up of reads. I've increased my to-read list but atleast 7 books. Most excited for Pam Jenoff's new release. This is a great way to discover new authors, new genres and new books to request on Net Galley. Thank you for the thought provoking roundup.
I loved getting a chance to sample many upcoming adult fiction books. This has helped me decide what to request and purchase in the future. Thank you for doing this!
I love books like this. Being able to sample many books before choosing ones to buy is a huge help to me. So many interesting books coming up!!
I look forward to a new installment of Buzz Books each season. Here’s how I approach it.
First, I read the Fall/Winter publishing preview. This covers all the upcoming titles, including ones that are not excerpted later in the issue. I jot down familiar authors that I want to add to my TBR list.
This time, the list includes:
Emma Donoghue, The Wonder
Ann Patchett, Commonwealth
Ron Rash, The Risen
Christina Baker Kline, Christina’s World
Benjamin Black, Golden Lane
Tana French, The Trespasser (Yea! Only a few more days to wait!)
John Grisham, The Whistler
Louise Penny, A Great Reckoning
Amor Towles, A Gentleman in Moscow
Second, I will select a few titles from the non-fiction offerings simply because I need to add more non-fiction to my reading life. These looked the most interesting to me.
Kat Kinsman, Hi, Anxiety
Cathy O’Neil, Weapons of Math Destruction
Beth Macy, Truevine
Robert Gottlieb, Avid Reader
Third, I decide which excerpts to give priority to. At the top of my list are:
Beth Macy, Truevine
Pam Jenoff, The Orphan’s Tale
Christina Baker Kline, Christina’s World
Ann Patchett, Commonwealth
Amor Towles, A Gentleman in Moscow
Last but not least, I try to spend some time on the excerpts by debut authors since I lack prior familiarity with them. Buzz Books is a great way to sample a new author before committing dollars to an unknown title, which I may or may not enjoy. But without question, I eagerly anticipate each issue of Buzz Books.
A very handy guide to finding your next big read! Great for discovering new authors and has a good mix of genres. Recommended.
A great collection development lool! I'll be sure to look for the next edition. A go to for new releases as it brings out the best of the best. So many books......
As always, a wonderful sneek peek at upcoming book titles! Love to be able to read a good helping from a lot of authors. Thank you for putting this "collection" together!
I always look forward to these volumes. Great resource for librarians.
Summer is coming to a close. Thank goodness I have Buzz Books to help me transition into the colder months.
Hurray for the bi-annual smorgasbord of upcoming books! A pure delight (sometimes a curse when you just have to know how a book ends from the excerpt!),the BuzzBooks preview what they deem to be the big movers and shakers of the latter half of 2016.
It covers multiple genres, introduces you to new authors you may not have heard of or maybe gets you back into an author you thought you'd grown out of (ahem..), I can highly recommend checking it out and sitting there with a pen and paper making a Christmas want list!
As ever, a great way to preview up-and-coming books for the new season - I'll be keeping many of these books on my radar.
I love the concept of this book - giving readers long excerpts of books of note to be published in the upcoming fall/winter season. What a reader's delight!!! It gave me a good insight into which books I am interested in reading and which are not for me. Invaluable to a voracious reader who constantly struggles with "So many books, so little time"!!
I will definitely be looking for the future Buzz Books!
Thanks NetGalley for allowing me to read this in exchange for a review!
I look forward to these review books. This is the best way to get an idea of what's coming our way in books. No more trying to judge a book by its cover
What a great resource for readers that are looking for something to read. There are some great suggestions this will be a book I will be going back to often.
Great preview of upcoming titles, as always. I look forward to these selections every season.
I love all your suggestions! Many thanks in the past I didn't know where to discover the latest in terms of books. I won't miss to follow you always!
I love getting a once over on these every season. These Buzz reviews always help me to know what to keep an eye out for both on Net Galley and in my own bookstores. This fall is looking amazing and I'm definitely looking forward to A Change of Heart, The DNA Restart, Les Parisiennes, Hidden Figures, Generation Chef, and Where Am I Now?
Great collection! The excerpts were long enough to judge whether the book appealed to me or not. Thanks for making this available!
Wonderful collection of excerpts! There were so many that I already had on my list to read and it was great to get a taste for them. I love this collection because it introduced me to some books I never would have though to pick up. I can't wait to see how these all do after their releases.
SO EXCITED for some of these books- I've already put in a preorder.
Such a great resource; so many stories, some better than others, but so many treasures waiting to be discovered!

Buzz Books 2016: Fall/Winter by Publishers Lunch
This is the first time i ever looked at the Buzz Books by Publishers Lunch. It is having the pleasure of reading a catalog with a preview and includes excerpts of books that have not yet been sold in stores. By reading this catalog, I was able to pick out what books that interested me. There were brand new debuts to consider. Most of the important publishers had listed samples of the books that they are anticipating will be popular, sought after Titles that they will be selling. With Buzz Books it is like I am online shopping but in a huge bookstore.
I am able to utilize a condensed amount of books in one volume. Buzz Books 2016: Fall/Winter gives me an early opportunity to browse what I want to buy and read before the books go on sale at the store. It is handy to be able to have all of the featured titles in the same volume. It is more convenient for me to not only browse all the publishers in the same volume, but browse the books themselves in one compact volume. I am going to use Buzz Books in the future. It really is exciting to see what new books are coming out conveniently in the same place within one resource. It is much easier than hitting the browse publishers or browse titles and get a random selection. It is faster, more efficient to be able to sample each book or in some cases read an excerpt in one catalog.
I love being able to get snippets of new books - great way to preview for reader's advisory when you're short on time.
I love these titles! It makes it so much easier to know what hot books are coming my way before they come out. The excerpts really make it nice.

Thank you to NetGalley and Publishers Lunch Buzz Books for providing me a digital copy in return for an honest, unbiased review.
The Buzz Books sampler put some fabulous titles on my radar and is a great way to learn about debut authors as well as to get a taste of what's upcoming in a nice range of literature.
This is my second Buzz Books I’ve downloaded. I can honestly say these are just amazing. For one, you can read excerpts from 40 books that are up and coming for this fall/winter. Secondly , some of these are pre-published. Lastly, if there really needs to be any more reasons to get this free ebook, it includes links and downloads for all the books included.
I just added 10 more books to my ever growing TBR list.
Loved the list of Buzz Books! I can't wait to read every title listed in this book and I am always looking forward to the books that they send me in their newsletters as well. Always a dependable list of good reads!
To be published in numerous magazines in December (the feature is about books to give as gifts): Still no idea what book to go for? Download Buzz Books for free from Amazon, and you can read excerpts from 40 of this season’s new releases. Well-known and debut writers are included, across both fiction and non-fiction. With a wide range of genres, there should be something to suit most tastes. Think of it as browsing in a bookshop, only with more time to read and the chance to sample books at home.
Another great collection of reads to tempt me! So many wonderful authors and books available, I just wish I could read faster or have more hours in the day!
This is a nice little teaser for those looking to expand their reading list. I stumbled upon this compilation in December, 2016 so I was familiar with many of the books that had already been released. It's a nice introduction to authors writing style and to see if the author can draw you in and keep your attention beyond the general plot summay.
