Description

Blood Is Thicker Than Ink. . .

Norah O'Malley has been alone for a long time. It's been ten years since her father and four brothers shipped her off to be raised by her aunt. Seven months since she's seen the guy who got her pregnant--who still doesn't know. And it's two weeks since she came home to Chicago and discovered none of her family wants to talk--or listen.

She never expected to walk into a tattoo shop seven months pregnant and get her socks knocked off by instant attraction. She can't even see her socks. But Kai Ellis is big and gruff and sexy as hell, and if he has a past, well, so does she. Even more, Kai knows how to listen so that Norah feels just a little less alone . . .

All the chemistry in the world can't help Norah make her decisions. And no sizzle of desire will make Kai believe in happy endings. But a little time with someone who understands might just change everything . . .

“Schroeder has written a warm yet sexy contemporary with down-to-earth characters…A surprising, bighearted romance.”– Kirkus Reviews

"Sizzling chemistry.”– Publishers Weekly

“This new toe-curling, spunky romance series will satisfy fans of slightly messy love stories. The characters are full of fun and passion with an undeniable chemistry. The protective Irish family subplot and realistic sensitive subject of adoption was fantastically written.”- RT Book Reviews, 4 Stars

Norah and Kai had sexual chemistry for days in this book! Norah returns home from college after she finds out she is pregnant. She is finding it hard to tell the father about the baby or figure out if she is ready for a baby. Being the only girl in the family her brothers are being over protective. She meets Kai when she goes to visit her brother at the tattoo shop where he works. Kai does everything he can to keep all parts of his life separate from each other. But when Kai's mother needs help after surgery, he finds he has little choice, but to ask for help from someone while he works. He hires Norah to help out and over the next weeks they find themselves fighting an attraction while she comes closer to her due date and decision about whether she is going to keep the baby.

It's no secret that I am a huge Shannyn Schroeder fan. I have loved the O'Leary novels and I was so excited to learn that we were going to start learning more about the O'Malleys! I was always really curious about how Norah's story was going to turn out ever since she was introduced in Catch Your Breath.

Schroeder did not disappoint! This story had it all; love, romance, steam, chemistry, family and a little bit of heart break all rolled into one amazing reading experience. I loved Norah. I loved that she didn't let her family or Kai bully her. She knew what she wanted and went after it. I can totally respect that in a heroine.

Kai was a bit of an enigma at first, but once you really started getting to know him you couldn't help but love him. His heart was always in the right place, even if sometimes he was an asshole!

Overall this was a great book, that I would definitely recommend to anyone!
