Description
In the first five stories, we visit Wonderland as grown-ups, able at last to face imagination as our full sexual selves, and reveling in it. In the last five, we face madness, despair, destruction and death.
But, always, always, wonder wins.
The stories brought together by editor J. Blackmore, the twisted mind behind several volumes of erotic steampunk, sexy Jane Austen, and steamy Sherlock Holmes, include these ten twists on Alice and Wonderland:
"Lily White" by Morwenna Drake
"A World of Her Own" by Alex Picchetti
"Tarts and Tea" by Holly Abair
"A Wasp, a Wig and a Wanton Woman" by Gary Westfahl
"Wonders Wild and New" by Verity Penvenen
"If This Be Not Love, It Is Madness" by Theresa Sand
"A Perfect Creature" by Bernie Mojzes
"Waking" by ADR Forte
"Midway Rides" by Alex Picchetti
"The Boiling Sea" by Angela Caperton

This was a fantastic collection of fantasy erotica. I'm hoping for more like this in the future.
I absolutely recommend.
Well this was quite a lot of fun! Hardly the sirt of thing I'd normally request but I've been a bit bogged down lately ad needed a distraction. I didn't expect to enjoy it aas much as I did, the stories were remarkably diverse. The more romantic ones worked less well, it was the dreamlike, otherworldly ones that were most entertaining - particularly Alice the caterpiller lover! They weren't all particularly erotic, the ageing wasp certainly wasn't, and the political mad hatter story was again a bit different. But I guess that's a sign of a good collection as I can remember individual stories.
This is a mix of erotic tales that all center around Wonderland. Some are good and some are okay. Some I went through fast because the story itself was boring but there are a few gems that stand out. They are all erotic and some have some really steamy scenes. Just keep an open mind since it is Wonderland.
Received through NetGalley for an honest review.
I quite enjoyed this book because it was so quick and easy to read. Most of the short stories in the collection were very good and enjoyable and even those ones that I liked less were still quite good but a little bit confusing and they didn't quite fit into the books theme in my opinion. All the stories were very interesting and I didn't want to put the book down because I truly enjoyed reading it. I'm looking forward to reading more books that are similar to this one.
The Circlet Treasury of Erotic Wonderland is a great collection of erotic stories, inspired by the timeless Alice in Wonderland. There is a large variety of stories here, covering different aspects of Lewis' stories and different erotic genres as well. Some of the stories, such as "A Wasp, a Wig and a Wanton Woman" by Gary Westfahl, stick perfectly to Lewis' absurd yet beautiful and lyrical imagination. Others, such as "Lily White" by Morwenna Drake, put their own spin on it. For fans of both Alice in Wonderland and erotic fiction, this is the perfect collection!
This collection of erotica turns the classic Wonderland into a playground of steamy scenes, where Alice receives an education of "sorts". And like Alice, readers are the voyeurs in Blackmore's topsy-turvy world.
Very interesting book. A lot of hot and steamy scenes. Very hot .
This book was pretty much what I expected. I enjoyed most of the erotic Alice in Wonderland stories. Midway Rides and Lily White were my favorites. The Boiling Sea was my least favorite.
I received this via Netgalley in exchange for an honest review.
To be honest, this compilation impressed me for a couple reasons. First, it actually had a story. Many compilations sort of barely touch on the theme and basically jump right to the action. This one has actual storylines and fiction between the risque parts. Secondly, it didn't jump immediately on the 50 Shades bandwagon and focus solely on BDSM.
That being said, the insect sex thing was a touch offputting. I wasn't a big fan and I imagine many will have a similar reaction. However, the other stories more than make up for that single one.
I'm a big fan of twisted fairy tales and Alice in Wonderland is a typical choice. This is a good collection of erotic stories. They are relatively tame compared to some I have read so a good choice for those not into anything more graphic than 50 shades. I enjoyed this collection and would recommend it to friends interested in erotica.
Excellent fractured fairy-tale erotica with themes of Alice in Wonderland. I'd highly recommend it for fans of the genre of fantasy erotica, especially of this sub-genre. A good mix of authors, some exceptional and the story-lines are interesting and engaging, something severely lacking in much erotic fiction. A well-produced collection.
A really goodo selection of short stories all based around Alice in wonderland, but where Alice is all grown up and back in wonderland exploring a different aspects of life. Some of the stories are gentle romance stories whereas others go straight for the gratuitous sex so of you are not into that kind of thing then maybe skip these ones. Brilliant collection with no bad stories in it.
10 hot short stories based on Alice In Wonderland - enjoyable but sometimes too much of a good thing is too much
A Fun anthology, very sexy. If you are a big Alice fan, don't expect them all to be rewrites of Alice and Wonderland.
Yes, this is a bit of an odd choice for me to read. I haven't rated some previous erotica very well, but it wasn't because of the subject matter, but the execution of it. Still, requesting to review erotica did feel strange. However, it was the subject matter that struck me. ...The Alice in Wonderland theme to be more precise.
The first thing to know is that 'erotica' is just the polite way to say 'porn.' ...That may not be entirely true, but if you search the web to define the difference between the two, you will find no definitive answer but a lot of suggestions that the only difference is in how an individual perceives it. So whether you want to call this erotica or porn makes no difference.
The theme here is that a number of different writers (all of them unknown to me) were telling stories based on the Lewis Carroll classic characters. Some of the stories were pretty directly set in Wonderland or at least with the familiar characters, while other stories took more of an abstract look at the "down the rabbit hole" (bizarre happenings) theme.
Surprisingly, I enjoyed many of these stories.
The first story in the book, "Lily White" by Morwenna Drake best captured the sense of Carroll's Wonderland and gave us a feel for what we would encounter if we continued on.
I also enjoyed "Tarts and Tea" by Holly Abair in which Alice has a spat with her sister which causes her to prefer Wonderland over the 'real' world and, being older now, she experiences some new, strange wonders that are much more adult oriented. This story felt the most like a genuine sequel (in tone, though certainly not content).
Bernie Mojzes' story "A Perfect Creature" was probably the best 'erotic' story. It manages to be sexy, hot, and aptly describing longing.
The rest of the book was generally pretty average, though nothing stood out as being truly terrible (which, I admit, really rather surprised me).
Be forewarned that the stories are generally pretty graphic, describing sex acts and using modern slang for the human anatomy. If you want your sex-in-literature to be a little more subtle (and let's be frank...most best-selling books have a fair amount of sex - just not quite so graphic) then this probably isn't for you. But if your curious about sampling some erotica with characters that are grown up versions of favorite childhood characters, then you should give this a read.
