This is quite a fun little book with lots of ways for children t get engaged and make them feel part of the story - very interactive and can see it being used on a regular basis. Lots of space for doodles and drawings and lots of images to colour
Cute litte Grumpy Cat journal. Great for kids to deal with negative emotions, and cute sketches of grumpy and pokey.
Everyone loves grumpy cat. This book allows fans to be creative and artistic using prompts in the book. There is drawing, poetry, puzzles to solve and lots of drawing. While I may purchase the book for myself, it's not appropriate for the library because it needs to be written in.
With all of the creative journals out there, here's one for kids that's grumpy, just like Grumpy Cat. Though he's super grumpy, there are great things about this journal. It's a great balance of creating cool things and sharing thoughts and feelings on various subjects. Some are definitely grumpy and annoying and negative, but others present the opportunity to share things that kids love, but in a humorous way.
For adults, I really like the Wreck This Journal series, but for kids, Grumpy Cat is the way to go. Kids will be inspired to share their creativity, to write and draw and use their imaginations. As soon as she's a good reader and can share her thoughts in writing, I'd definitely get this for my niece. Check it out, even if you're not a kid, if you like journals and Grumpy Cat, you'll get a kick out of this.
Grumpy Cat's All About Miserable Me:A Doodle Journal for Everything Awful by Jimi Bonogofsky-Gronseth is a fun little book. It is a book where people get to engage by making their own doodles to the story. This book is very interactive.
I received an advance reader edition of this book from Dover Publications via NetGalley for the purpose of providing an honest review.
Perfect and fun for any GC fan and/or anyone who loves journals and doodling. Each page is a journal/doodle prompt in connection with Grumpy Cat. Lots of fun and very cute.
This is a weird little book following the apparent trend of books that want you to do things. This one asks a number of questions and suggestions for drawings and other little creative things to do.
Since it's grumpy cat, many of the questions are grumpy, about stuff that you don't like. This is interspersed with nicer questions, like what your favorite magic spell is and the like. I can imagine a child really liking this collection.
However, do not expects a lot of comics or text in this book, you'll not find it.
Thanks to the publisher and Netgalley for providing me with a free copy of this book in exchange for an honest review!
'Grumpy Cat's All About Miserable Me: A Doodle Journal for Everything Awful' by Jimi Bonogofsky-Gronseth is an activiy cat featuring the famously grouchy cat.
It's a fun idea for an activity book. Grumpy Cat leads you through activities like making a list of grossest foods or drawing an ugly sweater or superhero costumes for Grumpy Cat and Pokey to wear (pokey is the perpetually upbeat kitten that hangs out with Grumpy Cat). You get to draw hats and musical instruments and gifts. Since grumpy cat basically hates everything, you can either draw ugly stuff or really nice stuff, it's really up to the person drawing.
At currently less than $5 on Amazon, this could be a fun activity book for a long car ride or for quiet time as an alternative to screens. As a kid, I loved this sort of thing, but we didn't have all the portable entertainment options for those long trips in the car. The book also features Grumpy Cat (and sometimes Pokey) on just about every page.
I received a review copy of this ebook from Dover Publications and NetGalley in exchange for an honest review. Thank you for allowing me to review this ebook.
This is a cute journal for the Grumpy cat fan in your life that's artistic. Could be a child, could be an adult, it works either way. Grumpiness applies to us all.
It's more of a joke gag for things like: List The Five Grossest Foods, Draw the Ugliest Sweater, BEDHEAD is the worst: Draw What I look like in the morning, Thanks for the terrible birthday present: Here's what's inside.
It's a cute journal that prompts drawing and lists for the creative child/adult and is a good way to kill time.
Plus = Grumpy cat automatically earns brownie points just because its Grumpy cat.
I'm bumping to five stars for the type of journal, one for the creativity, one for grumpy cat, but three because there's so much of it - 60 pages of prompts.
This fun interactive book is the cat's meow for summer reading and creating. If your child likes to draw, then Grumpy Cat will be the coach and "cat"alyst to make that happen. Each page presents an opportunity to draw or doodle a personal masterpiece that relates to Mr. Contankerous.
This book ignites imaginations. The cat's suggestions of what to draw will bring lots of smiles to the faces of future budding artists. One of my favourite things is the way the author adds digital images to incite the thoughts of technology. Kids take those images that were conjured up and use pens, pencils and a variety of colours to draw them in the real world on paper, not digially, using a screen on an iPad, computer or iPhone. Brilliant! The author inserts puzzles (with answers at the end of the book, thank goodness) to further get those inquisitive brains perking.
I know your child will delight in this book. It is a perfect addition to throw in when travelling in a car, bus, train or airplane. A beach can be a nice destination too to express yourself. All-in-all there is a challenge presented on every page resulting in loads of laughter as illustrations are shared.
Go ahead. Try to turn Grumpy Cat's frown into a smile as he checks out your responses to his demands. I bet you can do it....yes you can!
What's better than Grumpy cat? Interacting with grumpy cat & his journal!!! This delightful interactive journal allows you, mthe reader to kind of be, grumpy cat. How does it do that you ask? Well... It can be done once/day, or as fast as the reader wants to interact in the journal. It will ask you for "the grossest things" to be named on 1 page, & on another it will ask you to draw a picture of your favorite vacation. There are many different journal entries, asking you to do different things from naming things, or drawing pictures for others. It allows you to be grumpy cat in all his glory
I love Grumpy Cat everything so when I had the chance to review this I was so excited! The only thing I didn't like is that it is a PDF not an actual book to write in and enjoy. But I loved flipping through each page looking at what you can do. This is a cute Journal you can doodle in if you like as well. Each page has a Grumpy Cat with Questions like for EXAMPLE:
Grumpy cat picture with instructions "Drawn an outfit on me. I won't like it." It is soo cute! Another EXAMPLE:
"Everything makes me Grumpy . Be grumpy with me.What makes you grumpy?"
then you list what makes you grumpy. Like I said this is the cutest journal I have reviewed to date. I am going to order two of these for my Daughters as a Christmas gift this year for sure.
