I love a book about sports romance. And since the main character, Antony, is a Fresh speaking hockey player, I was in.
Antony meets Max while out at a club. She doesn't know who he is and he was happy. She actually liked him for him. Not because he played hockey in Canada (where hockey is religion). Max is getting over her ex cheating on her and leaving (Max was a little creepy about her ex, it was kinda weird to me). So, Max sees this as an opportunity to move on.
The story was sweet. I had mixed feelings about the French. I like when characters speak another language, but when there is no translations for it, I am lost as to why it needs to be there. At times, I almost googled things he was saying. It was driving me mad!!
It was a sweet story, some parts were slow, and some were good. I would give it a solid 3 stars.
The Right Fit by Daphne Dubois was released on April 12, 2017 by The Wild Rose Press, Inc. and is a romance novel. I really liked reading this sports romance. Dubois creates an amazing sports theme plot line with truly unforgettable characters. The two main characters are Maxine and Anthony and I feel like they are prefect for each other. They have an undeniable connection that is easy to get swept away into with the beauty of the writing style of Dubois. The love story is not an easy one because they both have their own backstories that create ruffles in their current relationship. Will their attraction for each other hold up to the title of this book? You will have to read to find out!
Maxine is still struggling with herself 6 months after catching her ex fiance' cheating on her. She has been wallowing in self-pity for too long and after a failed blind date, has pretty much given up on finding anyone. Her brother and sisters decide it is time she get out of her slump and have rebound sex with a stranger. So the take her out to the club.
This was a really intersting story and I enjoyed getting to know the characters. This was a new author for me and I enjoyed her writing style and the characters and the issues they faced.
In this story we get to know Maxine and Antony, Maxine is struggling after her ex cheated on her and a bad blind date. Anthony is a single and sexy hockey player but he is struggling with some bad luck. He goes to a club where he meets Maxine and shall we say they hit it off.
I really enjoyed this story. It was fun and romantic and I loved watching these two meet and fall for each other.

I love Anthony and Maxine’s story. There was a raw nature with Maxine’s self perception and the public perception of her weight. I loved how Daphne created characters with such feelings and emotions.
