Description
On her perfect day, wearing her perfect dress, waiting to marry her perfect groom, Maddie Mae Lowry gazed out the window of the bride's dressing room and saw her husband-to-be kissing someone else. His best man. And it wasn't a friendly kiss—it was an all-out I-love-you-I-want-you kiss. The kiss that should have been hers. Perfect!
Two years later, back home in Wyoming, war vet Gideon Branch takes one look at Maddie and knows he wants to marry her. He doesn’t need the contract he signed with her grandfather, Pap. That’s just to keep the old guy happy, although Gideon knows it wouldn’t please Maddie. All her love goes to Pap and to the special needs kids who will share her ranch. Gideon does everything he can to please her, but what will it take to get her past her vow to never love again?

Her fiance isn't interested in sex, and she doesn't think "gay" automatically? And he picked a helluva time to come out. Did he think no one would see that kiss?
That is hot.
Wow! Now that is a hero!
This is not going to go over well.
I'm guessing she has no idea about the cancer.
He definitely has no problems with confidence.
He has a nice butt. We get it, Maddie.
I like how she says "exceptional" instead of "disabled".
She has major trust issues. Why is she blaming poor Gideon when he was forced into accepting her grandfather's idiotic plan?
He's doing this courtship thing backwards. First you get to know each other, then you fall in love.
If so many people are telling you to grow up, maybe you should.
She told him her nicknames for those two drunken idiots?
Shame that she has to lie to the hospital staff about their relationship in order to be allowed to see him.
He survived an IED, to come home and get knocked out by a horse.
Well written romance with a good plot. I enjoyed this author's writing.
Maddie Mae is shocked to see her groom kiss another on her wedding day and vows to not love another . Gideon finds a new love in Maddie and her ranch while convincing her to look to a new future. Good story line and characters with romance.
Ebook from netgalley and publishers with thanks. Opinions are entirely my own.
