This is a great resource! I have been reading more romance lately so I am excited by the opportunity to sample these upcoming books. I plan to feature quite a few of these books on my blog during the upcoming months.
I always love when these Buzz Books come available. It's an awesome way to be exposed to books you normally wouldn't reach for. It takes you out of your comfort zone. You get to read a few chapters of a book to see if you are going to like it or not. The best part is there is usually a link at the end of each one to click on to request! Brilliant!!
I always look forward to Buzz Books, it's such a great way to sift through all the selections that NetGalley offers. It's also fantastic for discovering new authors. Immediately, two books caught my attention: "Time Bridge: Cassie", by Annie Becker, has an interesting time-travel premise and seems like a fast paced, fun book to read; also, the excerpt for "Their Perfect Melody" by Priscilla Oliveras gets major points in my book for including well-written Spanish (they had me at "María" with an accent on the "i"!).
Another great edition of Buzz Books. Some Romance novels from this edition that I'm most excited to read include:
Tempt Me With Diamonds by Jane Feather
The Memory House by Rachel Hauck
The Sweetest Thing by Judith McNaught
On Magnolia Lane by Denise Hunter
As I am such a fan of these Buzz Books reads I decided to check this out for a friend who reads a lot of Romance. As always, it's a fantastic resource that should not be missed!
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
I ❤️ the Buzz Books 2018: Romance edition, with excerpts from authors I might not otherwise have read. 5/5
Thanks to Publishers Lunch BUZZ BOOKS and NetGalley for this fun read. Opinions are mine.
Thank you for another great sampler. Looking forward to reading three or four of the books previewed.
I’ve only recently discovered Buzz Books and the excerpts of imminent releases and have to admit it’s a very good way to try new authors. There are two included here (Karen Rose and Shelly Laurenston) who are auto buys for me due to very good reasons. Ms Rose writes the darkest romance suspense that I’ve ever read and Ms Laurenston always delivers insanely hilarious characters with a paranormal edge.
So straight away two other stories here caught my imagination , Annie Becker whilst new to me certainly pens a very unique time travel idea with from what I’ve read here a delicious and very naughty twist ! It certainly fits into my preferred paranormal style although just how a happy ending will be achieved I’ve yet to discover so this is going on my wish list.
Now I don’t read a lot of what’s described as contemporary romance but The Memory House really captured my interest with a heroine who truly needs her life turning around and I’m very keen to find out what Rachel Hauck has planned.
Obviously there’s more here to tempt readers from historical, second chance romance and even a sports romance so I think if like me you enjoy knowing there’s going to be a happy ending no matter how much angst before it then something here will appeal. I thoroughly enjoyed these snippets although if honest at times wanted much more but like everyone else I guess I have to wait for release day.
This voluntary take is of a copy I requested from Netgalley and my thoughts and comments are honest and I believe fair
Previews of many upcoming books!
Reading the previews wet my appetite and blew my book budget on preordering a lot of the books covered in the previews. The books I’m especially excited about are:
In A Badger Way by Shelly Laurenston which are some of the funniest paranormal stories that I read.
Intercepted by Alexa Martin which I preorder just on the preview!
Solace Island by Meg Tilly which wanted to read right away!
I adore using this publication for building my Fall TBR to share on my bookstagram account! I request some of the books from NetGalley and put the rest on my library and purchase lists.
Really love these editions. They introduce you to so many interesting novels to add to your TBR reads. Looking forward to reading the books!
Buzz Books is a great resource to use to help me decide what to read this Fall. There are so many books to look forward to reading. This edition includes all types of romance books including historical romance and romantic suspense. I like the links at the end of excerpts that makes it so easy to get the book.
This is a great reference guide for upcoming romance titles. It includes a collection of excerpts of soon-to-be-published romance books for 2018.
It contains an introduction followed by a section with a section of Historical, Romantic Suspense, Contemporary, and Paranormal Romance. After that there are summary and excepts by publishers. I particularly enjoyed the excerpt for ON MAGNOLIA LANE y Denise Hunter.
Overall, a great list of information on buzzing romance titles for 2018.
I really enjoyed the variety in the titles presented. I was exposed to many new to Me authors. I am so excited for the release of Intercepted by Alexa Martin. Great start to a fun read. Thanks Publishers Lunch for the copy of this title for review via NetGalley.
What a great resource for romance readers. I now have a much longer list of books for my "to be read list."
Always great to know what is coming out in the second half of the year....some hidden books that i cant wait to track down !
With so many books coming out soon, particularly in the Romance genre, I’m glad that there’s a handy reference like Buzz Books. It collates notable titles per category and provides summaries and excerpts to give a sampling of the work.
Thank you for great samples! Not all samples spoke to me, but I look forward to the books of Meg Tilly, Karen Rose, Pricilla Oliveras and Jane Feather. It's really great to be able to read samples like this.

This is a great sampler for upcoming romance releases! Always look forward to Buzz Books, they never disappoint.
Great way to try out some different authors before you buy. Really liked all the stories and will be looking for them.
Some really great titles in the Romance Buzz Books 2018 instalment. I have requested many and hope I will be approved for some, if not I will definitely be purchasing them.
Thanks once again NetGalley for the preview of what I expect will be some really excellent titles.
Really enjoyed the Buzz Books. It is full of wonderful books that I will definitely read when they are published.
I love Buzz Books, they give you a little snippet of multiple stories and introduce you to authors that you may well have overlooked. There's just enough to get you interested and figure out if it's a book or style of writing that you may like, and there were definitely a few new authors to me in here that I want to read - I especially loved the Judith McNaught and Priscilla Oliveras excerpts. There's also the option to request/read them at the end of each excerpt which I really like. Very clever idea.
This is such a fabulous sampling of relevant, multi-sub-genre Romance titles! Collection Development Specialists will be assured that these selections are vetted and relevant to any and every library collection. Well done, Publishers Lunch. You always brings us the best!
I always love these Buzz Books samplers - they are a great way to discover new-to-me authors that I wouldn't otherwise have had a chance to check out. I plan to read and review several of the books previewed in this edition upon release.
As always, amazing collection from Publishers Lunch. I am very excited to read some of these books. Cannot wait for the next one.
Great collection of teasers for upcoming romance titles. Loved the notes about each author. Added a few titles to my TBR list, so many books so little time...
This continues to be a great tool for selecting new books. Three titles have been ordered for our library.
Cute idea.. My favorite was the chapter or snippets of Intercepted b Alexa Martin. Definitely smart for readers who want a little more on upcoming books.
Wonderful! This was so helpful. I look forward to reading several of these titles, including Tempt Me With Diamonds.
no comments on any of the specific picks proposed in this collection. It is a good idea to provide this compilation so keep doing it.
A great chance to read excerpts of upcoming books. There’s something for everyone in the group! I found some new authors and reconnected with a few old ones.
I loved the chance to read these books. I have to say I mainly wanted Shelly Laurenston’s book but a few others peaked my interest. I loved Laurenston’s so much I hoped I got picked to read it early and thank goodness I got picked, I enjoyed Jane Feather’s book too. It’s been a while since I’ve read her but she’s a master of historical romance. I liked Say your sorry too. Very suspenseful and a page turner of epic proportions! The rest I couldn’t quite finish though. .
I love these buzz books and the way they give you little teasers of great books. The links at the end to request for the books is super convenient as well. I'm especially excited for this one because judithmcnaughtisbaaaaaacccckkk!
Great way to see what's on the romance horizon! Thanks to Publishers Lunch for a super resource.
A NetGalley ARC
I really enjoy Buzz Books Romance because it gives me a preview of upcoming romance novels. So many books are published and it's hard to keep up with my favorite authors and genre. This is a great resource.
I love the Buzz Books that Publishers Lunch releases every season. I always discover great titles that I have either heard of or am just discovering for the first time. It's a great resource to use.
Thank you Net Galley for this excerpts of different Romance novels coming out in 2018. I really enjoyed reading the first of many books. This helps me decide what to read next. I am excitedly waiting for several books to be release.
I love these sneak peek looks at books and teasers for what is to come. I am so stoked to see Judith McNaught is releasing a new book! I can only hope it is put up on NetGalley and when I request it I am honored with an approval. There are more treats in this compilation of teasers I never would have looked at twice but now am intrigued enough to give a second look at.
I love all the excerpts and I'm counting the days to read all of them! What a great and refreshing reads!
Loved the excerpts and what is coming next. There are so many new ones and one from my favorite author didn't know will be releasing.
I adored that I could visit and view books coming out - even by authors that I haven't yet read. This was highly informative and I appreciate the opportunity afforded to me to read this. I think everyone should check this out if they can.
I love seeing this pop up in the feed, I always find some great books here to add to my TBR shelves. I don't think my TBR is too appreciative however since I have so much to read already.
I have never read a Buzz Books before and appreciated this. It gives you a snippet of multiple stories and introduces you to authors that you might never have heard of, just enough to get you interested. There were definitely a few new authors here that captured my attention. Thank you, NetGalley.
This is a great resource! I love reading more romance and am excited by the opportunity to sample upcoming books. I plan to feature quite a few of these books on my blog.
This was the first one of these that I have received, and I really loved how all of the upcoming books were listed, first by synopsis, and then some excerpts. I appreciated how they were divided into type (ie Contemporary Romance, Paranormal, etc.). It made it easier to skip the sections I knew I wouldn’t be interested in. I also liked that at the end of some excerpts I was able to “Read Now” or Request a few of the suggested titles. I was excited to get “Read Now” for “As Good As the First Time” by K.M. Jackson, and “Unchained” by Helen Hardt. I will be looking forward to “Couldn’t Ask for More” by Kianna Alexander and “Stripped” by Zoey Castille. In addition, I found a new series that I want to try, The Blue Ridge Series by Denise Hunter. I live near the Blue Ridge Mountains, so that’s a plus, not to mention that the book on this list is the last one and had a reference to You’ve Got Mail (one of my favorite movies). I don’t want to start a series with the last book, so I look forward to getting into this one from the beginning. All in all, this was very helpful, and I will definitely be looking at more of these compilations in the future! Thank you to Netgalley for a digital copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.
This is an excellent resource for upcoming books. I am able to preview many titles as well as request to read samples or request a Net Galley copy of the book to read and review. Thank you Net Galley for this publication.
These samplers are great for learning a little about a lot of different titles to make a variety of recommendations to patrons at my library. I love these samplers and I’m always looking for the next one to see what’s coming up.
I was provided a free copy of this book in exchange for an honest and fair review.
These are the samples that are included in the BuzzBooks Romance collection – each excerpt I’ve scored on a scale of 1-5 on my interest in reading the whole book:
Time Bridge: Cassie by Annie Becker (Oct 16, 2018) – The book summary sounded a little dark, but the time travel aspect was interesting. The book reminded me a lot of books I’ve read in the past by John A. Heldt. Score: 3.5
Tempt Me with Diamonds by Jane Feather (Jan 29, 2019) – I don’t particularly like the race horse aspect that seemed to be a part of the book’s plot. Also the heroine sounds kind of drama-loving, it didn’t sound like it was for me but who knows based off of two chapters. Score: 1.75
Unchained by Helen Hardt (Blood Bond Saga Book 1) (Oct 2, 2018) – Sounded pretty interesting, maybe a little cliched (vamp falls in love with a human) but the characters sounded good. Score: 3.75
The Memory House by Rachel Hauck (April 2, 2019) – I liked the puppy and the mystery baby, story peaked my interest a good amount. Score: 4.25
On Magnolia Lane by Denise Hunter (Last book in the Blue Ridge Romance series) (Nov 6, 2018) – I didn’t find anything in the excerpt overly intriguing, it was ok but didn’t seem exciting. Score: 2.5
As Good as the First Time by K.M. Jackson (Sugar Lake novel) (Oct 30, 2018) – This one sounded interesting, I was eager to learn about what had happened to Clayton and his previous relationship. Score: 4.0
In a Badger Way by Shelly Laurenston (March 26, 2019) – I’ve never been a huge fan of the whole shifter thing. Also there were just so many characters within th efirst two chapters I couldn’t keep everything straight. Score: 1.0
Intercepted by Alexa Martin (Sept 11, 2018) – I got pretty hooked in the story, I’m interested to see what happens with Marlee (even though see was acting a little like a doormat). Score: 4.25
The Sweetest Thing by Judith McNaught (Oct 23, 2018) – First couple chapters seemed pretty cheesy but I’d be interested to hear more about what the TV show was about. Score: 2.75
Their Perfect Melody (Matched to Perfection) by Priscilla Oliveras (Nov 27, 2018) – Seemed ok. Nothing overly thrilling in the first couple chapters. Score: 2.5
Ignite by Angel Payne (Volume 2 – Parts 4-6) (July 31, 2018) – This seemed super interesting, I’ve never read a romance novel with a super hero before. The first couple chapters of this were interesting and steamy. Score: 4.0
The Rancher by Kate Pearce (Nov 27, 2018) – It sounded ok but there were a LOT of characters introduced in the first couple chapters, I could barely keep it straight. It probably would’ve been easier if I had read the previous books. THe characters sounded interesting though. Score: 3.0
Say You’re Sorry by Karen Rose (Feb 12, 2019) – LOVE the involvement of the cult aspect, that always gets me interested. This one sounded like it would be really interesting! Score: 4.5
Solace Island Island by Meg Tilly (Nov 6, 2018) – I loved how fierce the main character was, she had so much spark! And I loved that she gave her ex what he had coming to him, the first couple chapters really had me hooked. Score: 4.25

Love getting these introductory books with excerpts from many titles so that I can talk more knowledgeably with my library patrons. I'm a romance newbie so this is definitely also helping me find authors I like!
This is a great preview of upcoming Romances. It's nice to see all the variety to be able to pick and choose. I'm mostly interested in historical Romance, but some of the others are tempting as well!
Great way to decide do you or don't you want to read. Also a good way to see if you like how a author plots and presents a book. This comes out every year so watch and pick up as it is available.
Buzz Books 2018: Romance is a helpful tool to highlight forthcoming romance titles. I look forward to this edition to help plan my purchasing. It's very useful.
This catalogue of buzzy romances for 2018 was extremely helpful-- even to someone who already loves romance and spends a lot of time trying to keep up with the industry. I'd recommend it to booksellers, bloggers, and anyone wanting to keep up with all things romance!
Excellent compilation of new books! I can't wait for some of these to come out so i can read them! I'm already putting certain release dates on my calendar so i don't forget to pick them up and devour them!
My first foray into a Buzz Books preview... I am reading more romance again this summer and was thrilled to get these substantial excerpts from both familiar and new-to-me authors. I've found several I will be buying! Thanks!

I want to read *all* of these books! This is a great compendium of upcoming releases in romance and related subgenres. I can't wait for them to come out.

I enjoyed the excerpts! Thanks to NetGalley for the insight to new books that I need to be on the look out for.
I had a great time reading the excerpts from the soon to be published romance books.
I enjoyed them all. But my favorite by far was The Sweetest Thing by Judith Mcnaught.
I was a big fan of hers and read everything she wrote.
Karen Rose is also a favorite author.
Several of the authors were new to me, and I am looking forward to reading their books.
This was a great opportunity to check out my fall and winter reading
⭐⭐⭐⭐4⭐⭐⭐⭐
A nice collection of Romance books. I'm really looking forward to reading In a Badger Way by Shelly Laurenston.
I received a copy of this book from the publisher via NetGalley. My thoughts and opinions are my own and without bias.
These books are really good and I can’t wait until they come out. I will definitely be requesting a few galleys to read now though. I am not a huge Romance fan but some these really drew me right on in and I so want to see how they progress. If you want bite-sized morsels without the commitment of a full book then I would recommend this and if you like any they give you the option of requesting it. #NetGalley is the best.
This was a very interesting book, as it gave me the opportunity to read a few chapters of book in genres and by authors I have never read. I have definitely found some I want to pursue further. Thank you Netgalley!
What a great resource! This book is a good source for not only books and authors you may have been looking forward to, but others that you may not be as familiar with. I enjoyed reading synopsis of authors I had never read. This is a good way to gain new favorites! Looking forward to these books coming out and getting a chance to read them.
Lots of good nuggets in here! I love this offering from Buzz Books 2018. I was looking specifically for historical romance titles to read but discovered some others that I enjoyed.
A good preview document. Loved the format, the choices of titles beong promoted. Diversity in genres, voices. The excerpts are substancial and helpful for my librarian self.
The ladies of the Ripped Bodice are doing so much good for romance publishing and I love the list of titles they've put together for this edition of Buzz Books. I'm especially looking forward to getting my hands on Intercepted. What a great excerpt!
Was grateful to read through this little gem. Lots of authors to discover and books added to my wish list on Amazon. Just wish I had paid better attention to prior buzz books. Really enjoyed the little snippets of books. It was just enough to whet the appetite.
Love books like that give a quick review. Really helped sort out my reading stack. It's hard when so many books are released at once. Overall views all in one place really helps similfy the process
This was a wonderful collection of excerpts from upcoming novels by some outstanding authors. I enjoyed reading some of them and am looking forward to reading the entire books soon. I was especially interested in the one by Judith McNaught, since it has been so long since her last book. Rachel Hauck's book The Memory House is intriguing, too, as is Denise Hunter's new one.
This is a great way to get previews of upcoming books to see if I think I'd enjoy them. There are several authors in this collection that I've read before and loved. I'm looking forward to their new books.
Thanks for the chance to read this!
Another excellent preview of the upcoming hottest books in the romance genre! Definitely adding some of these featured titles on to my TBR list.
I don't know how I didn't know about Buzz Books before now, but what a great concept - just enough to whet your appetite for some of the upcoming releases in a particular genre. I'll admit that I initially got this for the excerpt of The Sweetest Thing by Judith McNaught, but requested a few more titles to review based on what I read and/or added to my out-of-control TBR. I'll most definitely be checking more of these out in the future!
*I voluntarily read and reviewed an advance copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.*
I was able to go through ,is tings and read all the excerpts to be able to see which ones were worth my time reading since I'm really picky when it comes to romance. I highly recommend this book for anyone who's a sucker for romance and they can see what's exciting this year! I received this ARC from Netc Galley in exchange for an honest review .
This book was good if it hit the type of books you were interested in. Definately a good reference.
I really enjoyed the compilation of books.
I often don't stray from historical romance, but it's good to be able to read a preview from other books to see if this may be something I may be interested in reading.
It was a good set of previews.
This preview rocks. What a great idea, I love reading excerpts upcoming releases. I've discovered a couple of new writers and that's always nice. I've requested 4 of the books to read and review, one was approved just today. Now that I've experienced Buzz Books I'll be on the lookout for the next edition.
I love these books that give you a few chapters of a book. The format has introduced me to many new authors I had never heard of and may not have stumbled across on my own. The few chapters gives me a feel for their writing style and whether or not I will enjoy the whole book.. In some cases I may not be enamored of the writing but the storyline grabs me and I just have to buy the full version.. They also allow you to invest 10-15 minutes which might just be the amount of time you wait to get into an appointment.
From this edition I especially like The Memory House by Rachel Hauck, Judith McNaught's The Sweetest Thing, Kate Pearce's The Rancher, Say You're Sorry by Karen Rose and Solace Island by Meg Tilly.
Such a great premise, where you can hear about different books and authors, maybe new to you. Read snippets of some of these. It is like being able to taste something before you buy, or try on before you buy. Thank you Publishers Lunch
I loved this collection of book excerpts and reviews for up and coming books. I loved the previous Buzz Books collections, and once again this one had me scoping out a bunch of new books, and adding them all to my TBR. I am most excited for Magnolia Lane, and Intercepted.
A huge thank you to NetGalley for sending me a digital copy of these book previews in exchange for an honest review. I truly appreciate it!
If you are interested in knowing what constitutes the romance genre and what books are forthcoming, this is an excellent resource. In addition to an introduction, there are lists of books by subcategory, for example, paranormal romance, so you can easily find your interest. There are also a number of summaries and excerpts to read. Romance readers should enjoy this publication.
Great preview of published titles and upcoming titles for the 2018 year. I was familiar with many of the authors listed. If this was done for debut romance novelists as well, I know I would use it.
The excerpts in this guide were very helpful in our romance collection development. Thank you. We hope that the guide continues to be published.
This is a great way to see what is on the horizon, and get a sneak peak of some of the new books coming out. My favorite of these is hands down is In a Badger Way. I was really into reading it when *poof*... that was the end of the sneak peek. I can't wait for the book for itself.
I enjoyed reading the excerpts of other books within this book. It gave a window into several books that I was interested in continuing to read. I was able to request them at the end of each excerpt if I was interested. I was approved to read four of them which I am in the process of doing. It is a great way to find new books. Some of the authors I was familiar with but most I was not. I will be looking for more books by the authors and hopefully more editions of Buzz Books in the future.
I love Buzz Books. I love hearing about all the different books that will be available in my favorite genres.
Lots and lots of interesting teasers from a variety of upcoming new romance releases. Many have links to the full version at the end of the sample. Good variety and something for most romance readers. Found it very interesting and helpful.
Great book to see what romance books are going to be published. A must for all romance readers! This book was fun to read and nice way to check out upcoming books to mark on your to-read this!
The purpose of this book was to get me interested in upcoming releases from the publisher. It did a good job of this.
I had never read a Buzz Book for Romance. Glad I have now! I will continue to read them so as to stay up-to-date on all things new in the romance genre.
Thanks as always to Publishers Launch for the very useful planning tool that is Buzz Books Monthly!
Always the best way for reviewers to get an industry heads up.
I am once again thankful for another volume of new releases! As the season changes, I enjoy becoming lost in romance books. This volume of new 2018 romances has allowed me to preview several new books, and add them to my t0-read list for the winter!
Thank you Buzzbooks amd Netgalley for the ARC of upcoming titles in romance fiction.
As always I enjoy reading review of books amd fining upcoming titles to add to my TBR.
I get excited everytime I read Buzz Books because I get to read all those summaries and it's all books I want to read!!!
I've read Katy Pearce and Karen Rose before, just an example, and know I will read them again!
Those Buzz books always drive me nuts because thanks to them I keep adding more books to my list!
