Description
Bella Diamond never thought she'd return to her hometown, a beachside hamlet on Long Island's north shore. But that's exactly where she finds herself as an empty-nester rounding the bend toward fifty, forced to reinvent her life after a rocky marriage. When Bella moves into the apartment above her family's ice cream stand, she discovers Dante, the sexy pizzeria owner two doors down. His kindness, warmth, and sizzling touch awaken parts of her that have been dormant. Will he tempt her to leave her dream job at a Manhattan art gallery to stay in her hometown and take over the family business?

A quick, easy romance set at the beach. Bella moves back home after a divorce and meets the handsome Dante, a divorced pizza maker. I liked the characters were older than in most romance stories. It was a sweet story - but some of the dialog was kind of cheesie.
Thank you to NetGalley, the author and publisher for a temporary, digital ARC in return for my review.
A sweet, quick reading romance.
I loved that the characters were older - I don't see too many of those. However, it was actually a little too sweet for me. I need a little drama, or a little spice or something. And some of the dialogue was almost made me cringe it was too cheesy... I am sure that some people might talk like that, and they probably make me cringe a little too....
It was like the reading version of cotton candy...
Thank you to the author, the publisher and #netgalley for the ARC. This did not impact my review,
Thank you NetGalley, Stephanie Kepke and The Wild Rose Press, Inc for the copy of Rocky Road Home. This is my personal review.
I really enjoyed this book. It was a very easy read. The story was a nice change of pace from other romance novels I have read. It was not a heavy romance but rather an easy romance with older main characters. The dialogue was a little on the cheesy side a few times but it was smooth reading with no huge twists.
