Cause for Elimination was RIGHT UP MY STREET. First, I’m a horse girl. I always have been. So a murder mystery book that takes place at an Equestrian center… I’m here for it. I thought Emily’s drug addiction was a good addition to the series. It gave her a little more depth to her character and it was caused by her accident she had in the past.
Justin, love him. He’s fantastic. I loved his partner. I loved Lottie. This was just fantastic and I want more.
Thank you to Netgalley for the early arc in exchange for an honest opinion.
This was a great story. I just love books that are centred around horses and this story did not disappoint. It was exciting, thrilling and fun. It was well written and flowed so well. It really kept my attention and my mind active trying to work out who did it. I loved the storyline it was so thrilling and there was never a dull moment. Who doesn't love a murder mystery in a stable right? Well, I am sure other horse fans will agree. I loved that round every corner there was always something to get excited about. Especially all the attempts on the main character's life. The characters were fantastic, and easy to like or dislike in some cases. I love characters that you love to hate. I loved how this story evolved around 3-day eventing. Very exciting times. I did become emotionally invested in this story's development and liked the light romance element. I definitely recommend reading this story as it is so engaging. I must say the end was brilliant I am sure you won't be disappointed.
So much praise goes out to the author and publishers for creating such a brilliant story. I look forward to reading more from this author.

Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for the ARC.
As an equestrian and horse owner I had to request this one as soon as I saw it listed. Really good book that puts a murder smack in the middle of a high end Los Angeles boarding and training facility.
Well written and quite accurate when it comes to horses.
If you are an equestrian or simply a horse lover who likes a good murder mystery then you will enjoy this book.
4.75/5 stars! I have not read that many equestrian-based books, so the premise of this book was exciting to me. This book was so much more than I expected. The characters were 3-dimensional and I loved Emily and her story. The mystery element was handled so cleverly and I was rushing to get to the end. Will be watching for more books by this author.
I received an advance review copy for free through NetGalley, and I am leaving this review voluntarily
Cause for Elimination was not the typical cozy mystery I was expecting. This book had grit and alternated perspectives from a rich, handsome police detective to a troubled, divorcee horse trainer. As a former horse girl and romcom lover I was hooked! The mystery had twists and turns and was original!
I appreciate the publisher allowing me to read this book. I really enjoyed this book the mystery was very interesting, and the characters are very likable. I highly recommend.
This country gal loved the setting. Emily is a likeable character. Her growing attachment to Justin is a delight. The mystery is solid. I love horses so this book was an utter delight for me. Thanks#netgalley and =,TheWildRosePressInc for the eARC in exchange for an honest review. All opinions are mine.
A terrific murder mystery whether you are into horses or not. I was hesitant to select this book as horse competitions are not something of interest to me. I am so glad I did not let that stop me. A great story and romance. Interesting characters. Thanks to the publisher for providing a copy via NetGalley. My review is voluntary.
Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for providing me an ARC of this book for my honest review
This is a must-read murder mystery; having it tied around the equestrian community a bonus! I could immediately tell that the author was an equestrian. Some authors try to tie in horses/riding to stories but do not use the correct lingo and language, but this story was spot on. I enjoyed the characters, and the few twists throughout the story. Having a romance tied into the story, was a nice distraction while trying to figure out who was the murderer. This is not my usual genre of choice, but thoroughly enjoyed.
Horses and the equestrian world are a perfect backdrop for this slow burn mystery thriller romance, complete with a drop or two of danger for our protagonist as well!
This book was such a great read. As a horse girl I loved the horsey element. It was done so well and you could really experience the barn atmosphere and the horse world. Emily and Justin were great characters but there were some incredible side characters. Lottie and Dean were hilarious and I need Lottie as my hype girl. I was expecting the murder part of this to be an easy whodunnit but it still had twists and turns. The romance element balanced with the murder perfectly and the dual POV kept me hooked until the very dramatic end. It did feel like Justin was declaring his love when they barely knew each other and had only actually spent a few hours together but whats a romcom without instant love. It was a nice easy read and I will definitely be checking out more from this author.

I thoroughly enjoyed this romantic whodunit set in California’s equestrian world. I was attracted to the book from the moment I read the blurb and wasn’t disappointed. It has everything a reader wants—beautiful setting, relatable characters, and mystery/romance. The author crafts a well-written story with complex characters and engaging plot. I highly recommend this book!
