DEADLY CONVICTION

Although this is part of a series, it works really well as a stand alone read. Set in Liverpool, it's well written, well plotted and has excellent characterisation. DI Tara Grogan investigates the murder of a newly released prisoner and quickly realises his conviction for murder is related to a previous Chief Constable's daughter. I liked the pacing and the tension, the ending was neatly wrapped up and I would recommend the read. Thanks to Net Galley for my ARC.

Whoa! Good book! What a bunch of crazy plot twist!! This book had a bit of everything! It had suspense, Action, intrigue, mystery, revenge, murder, serial killer, great who done it, great plot twist, and some crazy twists and turns! The storyline was very interesting and kept me glued to my Kindle! I definitely recommend reading this book as it was well worth reading! But Tara’s niggling doubts about the victim’s original conviction become overpowering. When she loses trust in her increasingly dismissive colleagues, she puts her neck on the line by going against her superiors.

I really enjoyed this book. I did like Tara. Gripping and twisty. I'm looking forward to the next book. 5*.
