Description
Chatting during a long beach walk, we realized that we have accumulated all of this knowledge and we wanted to share it so in 2012 we started taking Educational Photo-Tours through our company Photo School VIP. We have taught over 8000 students with an 80% repeat rate. We have turned the entire video course into this book so more people can afford to learn from us.
We teach through the back roads of South Africa, on safari in Botswana, while exploring the hidden gems of Italy, through the foothills of Spain, the mountain villages of Lesotho, the wild coastline of the Transkei, the kaleidoscope of culture in India and in the unique and wonderful Zanzibar.
Consistency in your image is key to making your brand stand out.
We teach you to get the technical set up right first, on IOS and Android phones. Then teach you how to take great photos from a photographer's point of view.

A really interesting and insightful book. I've definitely learnt to love my mobile camera and get more use out of it, seeing a new way of taking the right photo and not just aimlessly clicking. A nice quick read too. Now to get out and take some more photos!
This is ideal for anyone who has a phone and loves to take photos and would like to improve on their shots. Simple, with pictorial examples and guides, and settings- this is useful.
Thanks Netgalley for the eARC.
Short and to the point, this is a nice book for a beginner trying to learn how to get better at phone photography. Some of the advice is targeted specifically towards phone cameras, while some is a bit more on the side of artistic advice, and could be applied to any kind of camera. Don't expect to find exceptionally rare information in there if you're already an expert, but if you're a novice (like my partner, who has a hard time understanding how to setup his camera so the subject is clear, in focus, and well-lit), you should definitely check it out !
Pros: I do not take many photographs in my day-to-day life, but that changes when I go on vacation. I've recently changed from taking a DSLR on vacation to using my iPhone to take photos, which I then use to populate a photobook of the trip. I'm not sure if my phone takes the same quality of photo as my DSLR, so I was interested to read this book and learn some tips and tricks to improve my phone camera photos. This book had good practical information for beginners. I appreciated the examples photographs throughout that demonstrated the different lessons and the step-by-step instructions.
Cons: None that I can think of if the right reader picks up this book. I can see how advanced and experienced photographers might find the information a bit basic, but for beginners, this book will be great.
Thank you to NetGalley and BooksGoSocial for the opportunity to read this book.
So I love photography and have stopped carrying my old big bulky camera around as my husband manages to take amazing shots using his phone. As of yet I haven’t managed to do the same so I am hoping the tricks and tools in this book will help me take better photos than my husband in the future.
This "how to" manual was very, very basic, but it would be helpful for someone who has no experience with phone cameras, or who might be switching from iPhone to Android or vs. versa. I did appreciate that the author added a chapter for popular editing apps including Photoshop Express, Snapseed, Pixlr, and more. There were even a couple I hadn't heard of like the playful filters in Banuba and Funny Face.
Thanks to NetGalley and BooksGoSocial for this introductory eBook.
This is a great guide to best utilize your cellphone camera. It provides basic photography tips along with how to best use your standard camera app and additional tools that can be used to edit your cellphone photos. It’s also useful in that it provides details for use of both android and iPhone cameras.
Readers will find this title to be an insightful journey into the world of smartphone photography. The author meticulously explores the technical nuances, and includes practical examples and exercises that are very engaging. Ensuring that the learning experience is comprehensive and appropriate for photographers of all skill levels. I found the book to have a very visually appealing design, with vibrant illustrations, that only enhance the educational content presented, which made reading it, enjoyable. One of the downsides to this title is that while the author provides a strong foundation for beginners and intermediates, it will fail those readers that might have a desire to dive deeper into more advanced techniques or into a more all- inclusive approach to a particular smartphone model. With that being said, this book will be of value to anyone wishing to get into the realm of mobile photography, by offering a solid guide for readers looking to unleash their creativity through the lens of the camera just waiting in their pocket.
This is a great book for beginners of cellphone cameras.
The book gives clear instructions on how to use both apple and android camera phones.
For each step, there are pictures showing which buttons to press.
There isn't a lot of technical photography information, so those who can easily use a phone camera may find they don't need most of the first half of the book.
Great for kids or the elderly who need some guidance on using their devices.
Useful guide to use your cellphone as your camera! Loaded with tips for both Iphone and Android, plus info on using popular editing apps. As a longtime Nikon 35mm user, I've been using my iphone more and more instead, and this will be super helpful!
