A Note From the Publisher

Lillie Diaz is originally from Los Angeles, CA and now lives in Phoenix, AZ. She is married to the love of her life, Fernando, with whom she has four beautiful daughters. She is a stay at home mom while going to school full time. She grew up with a rough childhood and her outlet has always been writing. She earned her associate’s degree in creative writing from Paradise Valley Community College in May of 2024 and is currently working on her bachelor’s degree in English at ASU. She hopes to write all kinds of books to glorify God—she wants to tell others about his wonders and what he can do in your life. She also wants to write short stories and novels with different genres.

Bold and Chosen by Lillie Diaz is, at times, heartbreaking in its honesty of revisiting the painfully autobiographical details of surviving a very difficult childhood. The empathy that Ms Diaz's recollections evoke are powerful, and will resonate with many readers. Her words ring loudly in giving voice to her truth, and I look forward to reading much more if her work in the future.

This book is so wonderful!! At least I know one person who would understand me and that is the author of this book. The book has poems, short stories and personal essays. The poems were good. Reading the stories was better and when you got to the personal essays it was the most beautiful essays and the book was out of this world. I cannot express how much I loved this book. Its a must read and you will surely appreciate her for writing this book.

Very beautiful writing. I enjoyed this work very much. I need a physical copy in my collection so I can highlight and write my thoughts. I love this for my morning quiet time.
