Talk about getting in the Christmas spirit! Another awesome 'short story' I can mind zero fault in! I am so lucky as a reader right now! This was a truly heart-warming story. And again, I am floating high on holiday season cheer! It had a little of everything: family, love, friends, coming together. It was just very touching!

Book Four of the Carrigans of the Circle C series and set in the fictional town of Marietta, Montana, “Snowbound In Montana” follows Eliza Bramble, a Marietta native and Marshall McKenzie, a transplant.

Though Marietta is still a very important locale in the book, author C.J. Carmichael actually brings the readers outside of this lovely town all the way to the mountains where skiing is the main sport. No cowboys and no horses; but don’t worry, Eliza and Marshall still pack heat.

A sweet love story written in lyrical prose, it is so easy to fall in love with Eliza and Marshall. The book is rated PG due to natural disaster dangers. There are no sex scenes in this book

Another fantastic addition to this series. They are short rpmances that you can't wait to get your hands on the next one.this is a light romantic edge and I can't wait to see what else is in store in the series.

This story was not what I expected. During the blizzard when the characters are stranded in the inn, the 2 main characters really get a chance to see what kind of people the other is in a very stressful situation. It was nice to see the depth and personality of the characters as they became closer to each other. I also enjoyed seeing the impact the 2 main characters had on the others while they waited for the blizzard to end. I really enjoyed the story and will read more by the author.

This story takes us to Bakers Lodge somewhere in Montana where Eliza found herself cold and snowed in during the Holidays. It was really her choice to spend Christmas away from the Bramble House, away from the impending arrival of an old flame. She took a mountain trip escapade with a bunch of strangers (families and kids, included) and met the ski trip & tour guide, Marshall McKenzie.

Eliza and Marshall didn't exactly scream "love-struck and starry-eyed couple" in the romance department. Both have issues among themselves, but seemed to be at ease with each other when a blizzard caused their ski trip to halt. The other people who were at the trip weren't pleased with the turn of the events, what with thick snow that prevented them from going out and the house help from being able to go to the Lodge. Eliza volunteered to help with the activities, and Marshall lent a hand. Soon they started to see each other in a new light, but whatever that started to blossom between them dissipated when Marshall learned of Eliza's past lover. An ex-boyfriend who happened to be the latest singing sensation. Marshall didn't think he was good enough for Eliza so he decided to distance himself when their time together at the lodge ended.

Snowbound In Montana is a romantic tale of love set in the cold harsh weather during Christmas. There were a lot of supporting characters, each and everyone had their own unique personality and played something relevant to the story. There were times when I got frustrated with Eliza because she didn't know how to decide for her heart and with Marshall because he didn't pursue the happiness he had longed for. But the heart-warming end of the story made me smiled again and wished Christmas is here already! Thumbs up for C.J. Carmichael for a delightful holiday read!

I loved this book! It was so heartwarming and gives you that warm feeling you get when you are sitting in a cozy chair, fire in the fireplace, reading a book or two.

Eliza runs a B & B in Marietta, Montana, and for Christmas, wants to get away from the inn after her ex-boyfriend, a famous musician, decides to come stay at the inn and presumably to win her back. Marshall runs a local tour company that is taking a group of people to the mountains over the holiday to go skiing and Eliza is able to get in at the last minute.

I truly enjoyed this book because it gets you involved in the characters and it places you there at the lodge. Mind you, winter and snow are not my favorite things, but this is one of those stories that makes wintertime not so bad.

I love the story telling by CJ Carmichael. I could close my eyes and see everything vividly that she was describing. A heartwarming romance that takes place in a remote lodge at the Christmas holiday's during an expected blizzard. This story brings out the true meaning of Christmas.

I'm so glad that Eliza was able to see through the fame & glamour and see what was real. Look forward to the story that should be told from the diaries.

This book was a nice reprieve from all the jump in bed right away love stories. running from the man she thought to be her one true love Eliza heads out to a mountain lodge for a ski vacation over Christmas. What she runs into is a man who truly could be the love of her life...Marshall. He is athletic & kind & has a heart as big as the mountains in the background. But this vacation turns out different because everyone is snowbound during a blizzard at the lodge. Trying to help Marshall, Eliza becomes close to him but fears getting too close. When things calm down & they return back to reality she finally figures out that Marshall is the one man she could love & needs to find a way to tell him. There is also a second story running in the back of this story & that's the history of the Bramble family that Eliza is interested in but she's been stopped by her uncle from going any further when he refuses her the diaries of her late aunt.. This causes on to wonder what is in the diaries & how does it affect the story of the Bramble family? This was a heart warming & feel good story. Well worth the read.

It is a heart warming book, which takes you on a snowy adventure. I liked the blurb and the book didn't disappoint me, it was an amazing read.

Eliza Bramble signs up for a ski trip to escape from her ex boyfriend who was suppose to show up at Bramble House Bed & Breakfast at Christmas. There's a group of people going on a ski trip together, it was suppose to be a nice vacation, but unexpected blizzard turns everything upside down. Due to the blizzard they are trapped inside and their supplies are running out as days pass by without the storm subsiding. Marshal McKenzie is a real sweet-heart, he stays calm and knows exactly what to do, even when most of the people only know how to whine and complain. He is kind and has a heart of gold, who wouldn't like a man like him?

I really liked the cozy wintry feeling inside the cabin, even though there was a lot of complaining by the vacationers, it was nicely balanced with the happily shared moments later on.

This was a wonderful holiday read. Eliza Bramble decides to go on a holiday excursion to get away from an old flame coming to Marietta. Tour guide Marshall McKenzie is kind, warm, and definitely interested. But Eliza is sure she will never be able to love again. In this wonderfully sweet and beautifully written story, the magic of the holiday is put to the test. It's definitely one you will want to read.

If you've read Close To Her Heart or Good Together, you've heard the name Eliza Bramble, she's a cousin of the Carrigans from their mother's side. This book follows her Christmas romance.

Eliza needs to get away for the holidays so she signs up for a ski trip that goes horribly wrong and right at the same time.

Marshall McKenzie is in charge of this little trip from hell, the guest are horrible, with the exception of Eliza; the blizzard pretty much puts a damper on everything. In trying to keep everything going as smooth as possible Marshall begins to bond with Eliza, who until the very end of the book is still carrying a torch for her ex.

The story was sweet, Marshall is like the ultimate good-guy that gets friendzoned a lot, Eliza was okay, but I did not really like her that much. They don't come together until the end of the book and Eliza spends to much time pushing Marshall away. I will say though that we get a few hints at the end as to what is coming next for the Carrigan sisters, so yes, you get to look forward to another book.

Rating 4 out of 5 Read@Book

Want something to put you in the festive mood or to remind you of how great snowy seasons can be? Look no further - this is a great story about a young woman wanting to escape meeting her ex-lover/ multiple timing rock star who goes on an adventurous Christmas vacation staying in a beautiful mountain home and skiing in the mountains.

Marshal McKenzie is the leader of the adventures. He’s ‘normal’, ‘nice’, ‘kind’, seemingly not really a hottie like her ex who Eliza still thinks she’s in love with. When a blizzard hits, the others on the vacation react negatively, moaning, groaning and not working together. As someone who normally runs a B&B, Eliza tries to help ease the tension and works with those striving to give everyone a Christmas to remember for the right reasons, she’s a real trouper! Marshal is attracted to Eliza but will she return his affections? What about the romeo, John Urban, she’s left behind?

The story has great characters and it is lovely to have the ‘nice’ guy win instead of the ‘hottie’ some of the time. This is a great book to curl up with, it is well written with characters whose attitudes are changed by their interactions during their stay in the mountains during the blizzard. The descriptions of the settings are brilliant, making it easy to imagine actually being there and witnessing the events as they unfold. This is book four in the series but still works well as a standalone - and I hope to find out what the diary reveals!

Thanks to the author, publishers and NetGalley, too, for letting me read a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

A sweet story of group of people in the middle of a blizzard in Montana, during Christmas. How interesting the ways different people react to the fact that slowly they lose all the modern comforts of life, starting with wi-fi and ending up with heat and hot water.. And how they find the joy in the simple things in life, after a little bit of drama.
Marshall and Eliza get to know each other while trying to save the Christmas. I wish there would have been more of the development of the relationship, but they seemed well suited to each other, had chemistry, and were just adorable together.
Very clean, lovely story of survival Christmas in Montana

I've been reading as many of the Montana Born books as I can. This was a really good addition to the series. Trapped by a freak Christmas blizzard on a ski outing, Marshall and Eliza find in each other a kindred spirit.

To escape meeting her ex, Eliza runs away for Christmas by going on a ski trip run by Marshall. He is attracted to her from the start, but a little fearful of putting himself out there. He's got a sad and difficult history with few of the people who should be loving him showing him any real care.

Once at the ski lodge, the blizzard cuts everyone off from the rest of civilization. When the majority of the other folks on the trip are unhappy and disgruntled over the unexpected turn of events, it is Eliza who steps in and helps Marshall keep the peace, helps the family who run the lodge keep things together. And of course, this only makes Marshall love her more.

For her part, Eliza is running from the memory of a bad experience. She's sure her ex is the only one she could ever love and so she depresses Marshall's attempts at starting something. She's smart and funny, and a hard worker.

But Christmas is a time to open your eyes with wonder and for both of them, it transforms past hurts into a sweet love.

From Netgalley in exchange for a review, this story runs almost parallel to Carmichael's The Cowgirl's Christmas. Eliza has converted her aunt's house into a B&B, but hears that her two timing ex is planning to stay for Christmas. Suspecting his motives - and not trusting her self around him, she arranges to disappear into the mountains on a holiday trip. Things dont go according to plan however, and all the guests are trapped, with little food or heating until the blizzards can be cleared. Eliza, despite being a guest, is willing to help out in the absence of the other staff, and she gets to spend time with the hunky Marshall.

The story is fast paced, the romance a little light (not even a sexy kiss between the two leads) and I wasnt exactly entranced with the story. It's an ok addition to Carrigan/Montana series, and an average book to read on a snowy winter's day, but wasnt in love with it

3.5/5 stars. This holiday romance has:
❄Focus on a Winter Holiday
❄Snowbound
❄Need Some Holiday Spirit And, as you know, snowbound is nearly all I need. But snowbound on vacation in a cabin, with a bunch of strangers pulling together to make Christmas happen is even better. Provided by publisher.

Nice little Christmas-time story. This is the fourth in a series, but can be read as a stand-alone, although it will make you want to read the other stories in the series as it gives you hints to other character storylines and future books.

This was a great story about finding out what the heart wants is not always what the head thinks. A holiday vacation gone awry, first the couples on the ski trip were grouchy, argumentative and sometimes just plain nasty, then a massive snow storm hits and supplies are dwindling, propane is running out so heating and cooking are limited and they have to pull together. By the end of the snow storm everyone comes away with a better attitude about life and appreciation for everyone. This was a nice heartwarming story.

Another easy to read novella, full of heart-warming characters. Would recommend to others.

This was a cute, romantic Christmas story. It was a very quick read and I very much enjoyed it.

Eliza Bramble runs a bead and breakfast called Bramble House. When her two-timing ex-boyfriend books a stay for Christmas, she decides that she needs to get out of town. She signs up for a Christmas ski adventure to escape. The tour isn't exactly what she had in mind, but it should keep her out of town until leaves. Plus the mountain guide is easy on the eyes, despite her being a single person among a family oriented group she goes ahead and books the trip.

When a snow storm hits, the group ends up snowed in at the lodge with limited supplies and patience. Eliza is not only stuck with a bunch of ungrateful people but with Marshall McKenzie who is doing everything he can to make the best of the situation in hopes people would work together. It becomes obvious to Eliza that Marshall also has feelings towards her, feeling she is not ready to reciprocate.

I found myself enjoying the story, despite the irritating group of people. Marshall and Eliza were amazing and judging by how these people were treating each other, their hosts and their circumstances, saints. Despite all the whining, they managed to stay cool-headed and do everything they could to keep everyone happy and comfortable.

Because this was a novella, the romance part of the story was a little lacking. The stolen moments that Eliza and Marshall shared have only been mentioned in passing as an afterthought while Marshall was trying to access his situation. I didn't see the chemistry, nor the attraction and half way through the book Eliza drew away from Marshall and only wanted to be friends. The ending of course, sees them get together. I hope we see more of them in future books in this series.

Very tender and sweet Christmas story. Hitting all the right spots with romance, intrigue and a beautiful happy ending. Eliza is a Carrigan cousin determined to avoid an ex boyfriend, who is a famous country musician, during Christmas. Headed to a wonderful snow lodge instead she finds a connection with the retreat leader, Marshall. My copy was given through Netgalley.
