When I first requested this book on NetGalley.com, I thought I was reading something new to me. Then I realized that Winter Brides contained the first three books in the Year of Weddings series, A December Bride, A January Bride, and A February Bride. This was not disappointing though, because I loved all three of those stories.

I love how Seth gets Layla to pretend to be his fiancé: helping her, and hoping she'll notice him in the December Bride.

I loved how Madeline and the innkeeper exchange letters in the February Bride, both picturing the other person as a lonely old widower, or a kindly grandmother, when they're both young. It was a sweet, and funny story.

I loved how Allie and Marcus were able to face each other again, after Allie left Marcus at the altar in A February Bride. And maybe this time, Allie can break the curse that she feels hangs over all of the women in her family. I loved how patient Marcus was with Allie, and how his sister kept Allie involved in her wedding. I could see how his family could have took offense at her actions and shut her out, but they were kind to her instead.

All great novellas, and some of my favorites from the series. Each can be read independently.
