Description
No one but you can control your actions.
But are you ruled by your mind… or your heart?
Beyond these doors, we will find out.
As punishment for destroying her lands, Nature has selected six human tributes to enter the realm of the fae and compete in her lethal trials.
Most will die. Perhaps all.
This is the brutality of Nature.
When Rosalind wakes up in the land of Eleria, chosen as one of the six, her only thought is of survival. Paired with the mischievous, handsome Winter fae Aalto, she must set aside her distrust of the fae if she is to stand a chance of making it through the trials.
But what happens when she finds herself battling for more than just her life?

We follow FMC, Rosalind, one of the six chosen human tributes to participate in Nature's trials. She gets paired with an attractive winter fae, Aalto. Rosalind distrust fae, so things will get interesting!
I am a sucker for trials, especially deathly ones, and human x fae tropes. So when I read the blurb, I knew that this book was for me.
Jade's writing is so beautifully written, so descriptive that you instantly get pulled in the story. The trials are so well-thought! I was really impressed! There is never a dull moment. The story is so gripping and action-packed. I wanted to read this book in one sitting, but real life, aka work, got in the way.
I did not expect that one plot twist at the end, though! My jaw dropped to the floor. I want more!
A huge thank you to Jade Ford for this arc!
This was an ARC from a debut indie author, and my first ever book that I’ve preordered - EVER. So when I got the chance to ARC read before release day? I jumped at the chance.
Let me tell you, this is Hunger Games vibes but with fae and the Seven Deadly Sins play a LARGE part and it was everything. All of the trials were so cleverly thought out, with deeper meanings behind every single one, I actually devoured this in one sitting - one hour and 38 minutes to be exact.
If you’re after a romantasy novel with fae and trials and easy to understand lore, with all the opulence we know and love of the fae but the realism of humans blended in.. this is it. I am genuinely gutted that I’ve got to wait SO MF LONG for book 2, because this could so easily become a trophy shelf level series!
