This was a quick read that children would love. In fact I plan on sharing it with the kids I nanny.
Each page had two sentences followed by a picture describing the sentences. The illustrations were simple and detailed that the children would know what was in them.
I wasn't really crazy about this book. The text followed a theme pretty well, but it wasn't all that impressive otherwise. Add that to the fact that the illustrations were underwhelming in both their size and their creativity and the book kind of came off as fairly bland. I did read it with a very young child and they seemed to respond pretty well, so maybe it could work as a board book, but I don't see it making a big splash elsewhere.
Cute rhymes! I was wondering where all of the questions were going, and I was pleasantly surprised. What a wonderful bedtime book! I gave it four stars instead of five because the illustrations weren’t my favorite.
