CHANGED THE WAY I THINK ABOUT MARRIAGE - by Jennifer Lancaster (Amazon.com Reviews - 4 Stars)
Having undertaken the Art of Feminine Presence work, I was quite interested in what Ken Llewellyn had to say about sexing up marriage. Little did I suspect that his emphatic and direct writing would influence how I thought about my own dull marriage. Divorce seems an easy option sometimes, but I quickly realised through Ken’s divorce research that it ain’t so great over there.
I also was glad he included the intimate disclosures of what some women prefer — but don’t ever get… HOT, male-dominating but reverential to the female, sex. We are talking, though, about creating more intimacy - which is why he reminds us it has a wider influence on our lives than we think.
Ken includes chapters designed for both men and women, a refreshing change. It also goes beyond sex advice to those petty resentments that build up in a relationship. As a woman it’s hard to get in the mood with resentments from the past - they always ruin the moment. So I will try to follow Ken’s pre-launch advice.
There are a lot of ideas in this book that I never thought of before, and although I am too skinny I see the author’s point about dressing up / down, and getting closer. All in all, a powerful book for any spouse who is bored with their marriage’s dull routines!
OR MAKE ME WANT TO TRY HIS TECHNIQUES TO REVIVE A DULL SEX LIFE - by C. Opalinski. (Amazon.com Reviews - 4 Stars)
Part of the reason I wanted to read this book is because I write romances and looked at it as research. I admit I never thought it would make me see my own relationship in a different way. Or make me want to try his techniques to revive a dull sex life. We have been married forever, our sex has settled into a routine just as the author mentioned. The author made me feel as though we are the norm instead of the exception and made me realize that our sex life could be revived. I am going to get my spouse to read this book and see what we can do to spice things up a bit and bring back the spark we once had.

The great thing about this book was that it was different from all the other books on relationships and marriage. It was a refreshing and thought provoking read. The author shuns 'political correctness' and explores the traditional side of marriage in a thoroughly modern way. Whether you agree with all his insights or not you will be inspired into making positive changes in your own marriage. I really enjoyed the book and felt it got to the heart of the matter. I loved his writing style and I think the contents will appeal to a wide audience. I Will be looking forward to more from this author - thank you
