Description
Wealthy, incredibly sexy Italian entrepreneur Danilo Spinozzi zooms into Lucy Luxton’s life on a motorcycle one quiet afternoon, and she can’t keep her mind or eyes off him. The people of Ravello, a small town on the Amalfi Coast where she is studying jewelry design, warn her that he is the town’s bad boy and a ruthless womanizer, but how can Lucy keep her distance when he is the one man who looks beyond her shy, plump exterior and sees the sensuous and creative woman about to bloom?
Devastated by the one woman in his life who should have loved and protected him, Danillo Spinozzi has had good reason to avoid long-term commitment. But after he takes one look at Lucy and basks in her kindness and unassuming, voluptuous beauty, he needs to make her his for more than a handful of nights. She’s a girl who deserves to be treated right, a tall order when he’s left a trail of broken female hearts behind. He’s going to have to do something he’s never done before—stay and woo her.
Even though Lucy knows she’s due to return home to England at the end of August and that Danilo will move on to his next conquest, she can’t resist him… Or has Danilo really changed his ways for good?

Taming The Italian Bad Boy is such a sweet and sensuous love story at the same time. Lucy is a curvy English beauty whose family, aside from her Nana, really doesn’t see her as she truly is. Perhaps neither does Lucy as she has become accustomed to small cuts and slights for most of her life. When Danilo practically crashes into her quiet life Lucy may actually take her Nana’s words of “take a wee risk” to heart.
Danilo is truly a man with a wicked reputation. He has no intention of settling down and has enjoyed his life of affairs and rules of no long term commitments quite well so far. Yet, Lucy pulls at him as no other woman has. Yes, she is not a petite stick like so many woman he has dated are. Her womanly curves are a delight to him, but even more is the person within those curves, the woman who doesn’t truly see her own worth. But if Danilo has his way she soon will.
The book cover description tells you much about Taming The Italian Bad Boy, so let me tell you about the feelings this story evokes. Lucy is a sweet, charming young woman who cannot see what she has to offer. She sees herself through the eyes of her family and classmates. Her stammer and her body build have convinced her that she will never find a man to love her for just her. She’s shy, timid yet there is a boldness beneath the surface that Danilo brings out. Our handsome, sexy hero Danilo has serious trust issues. He cannot believe in a lifelong, forever kind of love for he never saw it in his reality. So a bad boy playboy has become his lifestyle. With Lucy he found something he never knew truly existed. Sure, his plans for them had only been for a few months during her stay in Italy. But slowly she has opened up a closed heart, one that cannot resist the love of a good woman.
As I said earlier – a sweet yet sensuous love story. Each of them finds something in the other that no one else has. Each brings out emotions that neither thought possible for them. Their road to love is not without a few pitfalls, love rarely is that easy, yet in the end they will see past what they were and believe in what they can be together.
I enjoyed Lucy and Danilo’s romance very much and would recommend Taming The Italian Bad Boy for any reader of romance who believes that love is possible for anyone especially when they are not looking for it.
*I received an e-ARC of Taming The Italian Bad Boy from the publisher and NetGalley in exchange for an honest review. That does not change what I think of this novel.*
Taming the bad boy can be so much fun.
Danilo Spinozzi was a bad boy that everyone kept warning Lucy Luxton about. But she didn't want to listen.
Lucy and Danilo met when Danilo was in England for a sales meeting and he wrecked on his motorcycle trying to avoid hitting Lucy's cat in the road. Lucy’s doctor father brought Danilo back to their house to make sure he didn’t have any injuries. When Lucy mentioned she was planning to go to Ravello Italy for a specialized jewelry course, Danilo told her to look him up. He would be happy to show her around. But Lucy hesitated to call when she arrived in Ravello.
One day while out riding her scooter, Lucy swerves to avoid hitting a dog in the road. She soon learns the dog belongs to Danilo. It was like history repeating itself. From that moment on, Lucy decides to give Danilo a chance even thought everyone warns her about him.
Even though Lucy is very unlike any of the women who Danilo has been actor acted to in the past, her innocence intrigued him. Will Danilo break Lucy's heart like all of the women he has left in the past? Or will she be the one to change him?
I really loved this book. The story was written really well and I couldn't have asked for better characters. Their passion was off the charts. I know this story will stick with me for a long time. I will definitely be revisiting this book again in the future.
A very enjoyable read! When Danilo Spinozzi crashes his motorcycle in front of Lucy Luxton's family home, she is simply mesmerized by the incredibly sexy Italian. When they discover she will be going to Italy to study jewelry design in the same small town that Danilo resides, they agree to get together. When the people of the town see Lucy with Danilo they are quick to warn her to stay away from the town bad boy. Lucy doesn't see Danilo that way at all. Can she trust herself with this man, regardless of his past?? You definitely want to read this one and find out! I highly recommend it.

This is proving to be a fantastic series for anyone who enjoys their romance with a bad boy being changed by love and this is a great addition to it! Joanne Walsh has continued the wonderful writing by her fellow authors of books in the International Bad Boy Series to produce her own novel starring the wealthy Italian entrepreneur, lemon grower and Limoncello maker, Danilo Spinozzi. He’s a strong alpha male, used to loving and leaving as he wishes with little or no thought to the women he’s finishing with. He knows things are going to be different from the start when he first meets Lucy Luxton after swerving his motorbike and falling into a ditch in an otherwise successful attempt to avoid hitting her cat! She’s his antithesis in so many ways - she is shy, quiet, sweet, kind, considerate and totally unaware of her own beauty. She’s about to go to Ravello on the Amalfi Coast to study designing and making jewellery . . . . you guessed it, that’s where he lives! When her Nana advises Lucy to “take a wee risk” you just know you’re in for a great romance!
This is an excellently written novel with strong, well defined characters who grow and develop throughout the story. Whilst their attraction is explosive, their wariness is explained as past experiences of both main characters are revealed making it easy to understand the emotional impact on them as adults and on their current relationship. The growth of trust, understanding and love through the story is portrayed brilliantly, ensuring readers are able to empathise with the characters and their reactions. This doesn’t just apply to the central couple but to some of the secondary characters, too. I particularly appreciated how Danilo and Lucy were shown to bring out the best in each other, revealing aspects of their personality that others had never noticed. The path of true love does not run smoothly but has plenty of obstacles and ‘flies in the ointment’ to get in the way of them achieving their HEA. How these are viewed and overcome are what make this into a great story.
If you enjoy your romances to have strong characters revealing hidden weaknesses and shy females proving themselves resilient and strong, this is a great book for you to read and I recommend you go get yourself a copy to escape into asap!
Thanks to the author, publisher and NetGalley, too, for letting me read an ARC of this book in exchange for this, an honest review.
Romance without bite. I mean it's a sweet romance, old school, that one would read on the beach.
I received a copy of this story through NetGalley from Tule Publishing for an honest review. The International Bad Boys series is an ongoing series of books written my different authors with a common theme of... well, a bad boy and their not located in the U.S. (kinda obvious, but they aren't linked or characters overlap for most of them unless written by the same author). Lucy was a very sweet character. She has a natural ability to care for others, but few have ever taken care of her. Most, including her mother, have not been very careless with Lucy's feelings. Consequently, she is insecure and has a lot of doubts about herself. Similarly, Danilo (the aforementioned bad boy) has also spent his life being judged and feelings of being unloved. Although he has dealt with his insecurities much differently than Lucy (he's a playboy), they both recognize that part of themselves in each other. My only bugaboo was the amount of inner dialogue and the amount of debating back and forth Lucy did about Danilo. Overall, the book was very entertaining and a quick afternoon read.
I have read all of the books in this series and I have enjoyed each of them. Danilo is a handsome, bad boy and Lucy is the sweet quiet girl who he finds himself drawn to. Lucy can't quit figure out what he sees in her because she is nothing like the beautiful women that he has been known to date in the past. Danilo figures out that that is exactly why he finds her so attractive.
This is a sweet story that shows that we don't always see the beauty in ourselves that others see in us. I really enjoyed watching their relationship grow and as they realized that when you let go of your own insecurities and hurt from the past you can find true happiness and love. If you are looking for a fairly quick read and a sweet story to pass a few hours, I would recommend reading this book.

Danilo is the definition of a play boy. After a motor bike accident lands him in the house of the shy buy beautiful Lucy he knows he wants to get to know her better. When he finds out that shes moving to his home town for the summer to go to school he knows his life is about to change for the better.
I really liked this book and how the author made Lucy and Danilo fall in love instead of forcing and insta love on them. Danilo had to work at getting Lucy to fall for him despite everyone telling her that he wasn't a good boy. She had to decide for herself what type of man he really was.
I really wish that Lucy would have shown some more emotion at certain parts in the story. While I don't like drama I found that this book didn't have any in it. At all times Lucy had her head about her and that just isn't realistic all of the time. Woman are passionate and while I loved the storyline and Danilo and Lucy I just didn't feel that passion.
Who doesn't fantasise about an Italian bad boy who is off his head about YOU? Have a read of this book for your dose!
What a sweet story. I really loved the way each character grew into themselves, Danilo realizing that he could indeed love someone and Lucy becoming confident about herself. And man do I want to go to Italy after reading this book!

Taming the Italian Bad Boy is a short, light-hearted, fun read. Set predominantly in Italy, it nicely showcases the culture and feel of Ravello and the Amalfi coast area.
Lucy is shy, somewhat self conscious and not at all self-assured having grown up with the nickname "Lumpy Lucy". At six feet, she is all for a woman, and generously endowed. She has typically pale English rose colouring, and can't for the life of her fathom what Danilo sees in her, when he could have his pick of any number of gorgeous, petite Italian women.
Danilo is tall, slim, built like a model and oozing sex appeal. He has a reputation for pushing boundaries and living life on the wild side. He has yet to outgrow the bad boy image he deservedly acquired as a teenager, yet there is a sensitive side to Damilo as well. And he can't stop thinking about Lucy.
I liked the way Lucy blossomed through this book at the same time growing in confidence. Joanne Walsh did a good job with character and plot development, and while there are times when I thought the dialogue was a little stilted, I liked the way she showed Danilo's growing feelings for Lucy through the use of more and more Italian terms of endearment through the book. Overall, this book is nicely put together and perfect to relax with.
I really enjoyed this book. It was sweet, romantic and more. I just loved Danilo and Lucy in every way. I wish I could read more of them.
Taming the Italian Bad Boy is part of the International Bad Boys from Tule Publishing. Joanne Walsh has written an enjoyable look at an Italian Peter Pan entrepreneur and ugly duckling. I guess, I just mixed folktales right there. Still he is just what Lucy needs. Too many hurts have caused her to lose confidence, unable to see her beauty or her strengths.
This is a light flirty short read with a predictable outcome. However, who does love to see the duckling rise to their true self. So like a flower, Lucy blooms when she takes a chance on Danilo. For his part, it was time for Danilo to grow up.

This is one of those great love stories where the sophisticated alpha male gets knocked on his ass (quite literally in this case) unexpectedly by a shy, fantastic woman who normally isn't his type. Danilo and Lucy are great together and even though they both claim that they aren't looking for forever, that is exactly what they find.
Lucy is a timid curvy girl and fate brings her sexy Danilo. She really connects with him when she moves into his home turf for school. The story was almost innocent and cute but there wasn't much in the way of plot development.

Shy sweet girl with an overbearing, crazy mother, meets sexy Italian stallion.
When Lucy Luxton's pet runs Danilo Spinozzi off the road it's attraction at first sight.
Danilo sees this Lucy and is struck by her quiet beauty, he makes an overture of friendship in the hopes of seeing her again when she moves to the same town in Italy where he lives.
Lucy is hesitant to contact Danilo, but a road encounter with Danilo's dog brings these two back together.
The story was sweet, they date, they get to know each other and the town's bad boy goes from being a commitment-phobe to the most devoted guy ever.
We do have a little drama when Danilo's ex tries to come between him and Lucy but Danilo stands strong and makes it very clear Lucy is the one for him.
I would have loved to see Lucy stand up to Danilo's ex or her ex for that matter, but over all this story just has you going awww.
