First of all, I was crazy excited (almost frothing at the mouth) when I realized one of the authors of this book as Ana Sortun -- I'd eaten a dream meal at Oleanna that I still remember eons later.

Second, the recipes in this book are amazing (slightly intimidating, not gonna lie), but aside from trying to cook all the recipes, I have way too many to want to try immediately. It'll have to be one of those close-your-eyes-flip-through-book-and-point-to-decide. But I'm not complaining. It really is that hard to chose the first, fifth, tenth recipe to try. My kitchen might just explode. Or my stomach. Or just die from happiness.

Just browsing through this book was enough to get a sense of how enjoyable it would be to make some of the recipes found in it. The nice Introduction gives you some background on the authors and their restaurant, Sofra. Each recipe follows a paragraph about it; maybe how it came about, how to use it, pointers about it. The photos of some of the actual dishes are very appealing. The way the book was put together made it fun to read and made me want to run home and try out some of the recipes as soon as possible.
