Description
Head back to Pride, Oregon, to find out what some of your favorite Jill Sanders’ characters are up to.
Lilly Stevens didn’t have time to flirt anymore, and that was a real shame because the man of her dreams was right next door. Opening a boutique, Classy and Sassy, with her cousin has taken all of her free time, and her spending money. Still, it was hard to say no to the blond-haired man with sexy green eyes and a killer smile. Not only was he gorgeous, but the man could make her laugh, and that was one of the most important items on her list of must-haves for potential loves of her life.
Corey and his twin, Carter, have finally achieved their lifelong dreams of being on their own. Finally, they can have a normal life, even if their dark history makes them leery of letting anyone in. But the little town of Pride has a way of shedding light in the darkest corners. Now, the sexy girl-next-door has caught his eye, but she’s too perfect for someone with his history, even if her slate eyes and lush pouty lips demand his attention.

Jill Sanders brought another good romance about the huge family that is Pride Oregon. The lives of the Jordan's are never dull and Season of Love brings the reader into the thick of it. Classy and Sassy and the boys of Baked are the center of this romance and I have high hopes that the next one will as well. The reader can enjoy the quick read about new live and catching up with the rest of the brood as well.
This is a voluntary review of an advanced copy.
I have not read any of the previous books in this series but I found that it did not matter and I could read this like a stand alone book.
Lilly and Corey have not acted on the attraction that they felt for each other and finally Lilly asked Corey out for a picnic. The romance was sweet and not really drama filled. There were a couple times that Corey had to fight his feelings of not deserving Lilly since he came from such a dark background.
There is some drama when Corey and Carter find out that their grandfather had died and left all his money to them. They keep having to fight off their parents attempts to get the money and also physically attacking them.
The final drama is finding out who was trying to run Lilly and Corey off the road and why - I didn't see that shocker coming!
I really hope that we see Riley get her book soon and that Carter can overlook the fact that he is a few years older than her!
SEASON OF LOVE is the third book in the immensely enjoyable "Pride, Oregon" series by Jill Anderson. Corey Miller and his twin, Carter finally achieved their dreams of being on their own. They were able to have a normal life and Pride, Oregon was the place they wanted to put down roots. They also owned Baked, a pizzeria. Thanks to their dark past, they didn't trust easily but the beautiful and funny girls next door changed everything.
Being in Pride was like a ray of sunshine after a storm for the brothers. They both liked the Jordan cousins but only Corey was the one who did anything about his feelings regarding Lilly. As the lovebirds grew closer, they were faced with obstacles from Corey's past. But they tackled it together. Loved how the Miller brothers finally found the one thing they've been searching for, family and love.
SEASON OF LOVE us another good book in a fun series. Looking forward to Carter's story.
Lily and her cousin Riley are opening a boutique together. Next door is the pizza place, run by the twins, Corey and Carter. None of them have time for love, till they meet, then sparks fly. Town is Pride, Oregon, with romance, mystery and families to help get businesses up and running.
Given ARC by Net Falley and Kobo for my voluntary review and my honest opinion,
A quick, lovely and steamy romance filled with lots of drama, family and friendship. Lilly and Corey's story in a long line of great storytelling from this author.
If you are looking for a light and fun story this one is terrific. Lilly is our heroine and she is 26 and from a very loving home. Her and her cousin are opening a woman's boutique. Their neighbors are Carter and Corey and they come from a very broken home, they are twins that have opened a pizza place in the town of Pride.
Corey is into Lilly and vice versa and I loved how she asks him out first and then they get to know each other. They talk and are fun and I really loved getting to know them and watch them form a relationship. Looking forward to Carter and Riley's story.
Absolutely loved this book. I thInk that it’s my favorite of the Pride, Oregon series. Riley and and Lilly are opening classy and sassy right next door to Baked owned by the mysterious Miller brothers. While renovating the store the Lilly and Corey become close and their undeniable chemistry can no longer be ignored. I loved the depth and heart of both the H and h. Great book!
Season of Love is a very good romance. I enjoyed the plot, characters, setting and the author’s writing. I highly recommend this book.
I always enjoy reading stories from Jill Sanders’ Pride, Oregon series because they never let me down and Season of Love was no different…mostly.
From the first page I loved Lilly and Corey, both on their own and together as a couple. Lilly comes from a big, boisterous loving family which is a stark contrast to the human garbage that raised Corey and his twin brother Carter. Because of that Corey thinks he may not be good enough for Lilly, but she’s one half of Class & Sassy and my girl won’t stand for her man thinking of himself that way.
Corey was big and strong but so sweet it was hard to find anything wrong with him. Even when he harped on his upbringing it was never to the point of me rolling my eyes in annoyance. I felt for the guy, I truly did and the way he couldn’t stay away from Lilly, well let’s just say I was fanning my face at his sweet, boy next door hotness!
When things got hot between them, they got HOT and honestly I just wanted more time with them.
If I have any complaints about Season of Love it’s to do with the last fifteen percent of the story. It was over the top dramatic and unnecessary. I won’t give anything away but I thought it came out of left field and it didn’t really add anything to the story…except maybe (hopefully) setting up a story for Riley & Carter (fingers crossed, Jill…wink, wink).
This was a fast fun read that I enjoyed. If not for the drama at the end, a five star read for sure!
If you're a fan of Debbie Macomber, pick up Season of Love by Jill Sanders. A great, warm, heartwarming read.
Many thanks to NetGalley, the publisher, and the author. All opinions are my own.
It’s so easy to fall back into the world of Pride, Oregon… with any of the generations of the Jordan family and Season of Love is no different. Cousins Lilly and Riley are making their dream of owning a shop together a reality. They have the shop, and the growing friendship with the two handsome yet mysterious twin brothers who own the pizzeria next door. The attraction might be a bit more for Lilly and Corey, but she’s intent on the new business opening and it being successful, and Corey is as well but with the added reality of his and his brother’s past to consider. Yet, love holds still for no one, and the timing is rarely perfect. When a blast from the past changes lives it’s now up to Corey and Lilly to make some choices while working toward that happy ending they both want but are afraid to count on.
Season of Love is an emotional romance, one that not only showcases the love between two people but that special bond that twins share. There is a touch of mystery, a bit of suspense but mostly there is a whole lot of family love and new beginnings for Lilly and Corey. It’s always a special treat to run into couples, people that we’ve met in previous stories… and get a bit of an update. This world is one that is easy to get lost in – in the good way – and I will always be willing to come back for another visit. I had a blast with this story, and I’m pretty sure you will, too. Do you have to read the entire series? No, of course not… but this story will be enriched for you by knowing what came before. And besides, all the stories are enjoyable and entertaining so if you can, I’d certainly recommend this entire series.
*I received an e-ARC of this novel from the publisher via NetGalley. That does not change what I think of this story. It is my choice to leave a review giving my personal opinion about this book.*
I also own a copy of this title.
Awesome book, this is a new author for me. I will be sure to read more books by Jill Sanders.
This book has romance, past trials and tribulations, new business and an inheritance.
this was a sweet read. Lilly was opening up a boutique with her cousin Riley. She happened on Corey (who owned the pizzeria with his twin Carter) in the alley where she was throwing out garbage from the remodel. The jist of the story is how wonderful Lilly's family is and how horrible Corey's is. Things change rapidly when his grandfather dies and leaves everything to the brothers. This brings out the grandfather's mistress and their parents who think they should have all of it. The story moved along quickly and was very interesting to read. I'm going to look up more from this series. I got this book from NetGalley for an honest review.
