This is the first book I've read by Barbara Cameron, but it won't be the last. This is a very well written book about learning to love again after the death of your spouse. Thank you NetGalley and Gilead Publishing for introducing me to this wonderful author. Don't pass this book up, it is time well spent reading it.
Buried Secrets Is a precious story. It is an absolute joy to read. The siblings are very affectionate to each other - meaning they care for each other very much and they take care of each other as well. Rose has had a major loss twice over but she is still big hearted. Daniel helps her do that - who is Daniel? You have to find out for yourself - it is worth it. Lillian also is keeping her grounded and upbeat - she is also playing match maker - is she successful? The one thing that she does do is she trusts and loves one man - who? GOD, that's who - and HE will guide her every step.
This is the second book of the series but can be enjoyed as a stand alone. This is a sweet story about a young Amish woman, Rose. After the death of her husband she moves back home to be close to family. Her special bond with her twin sister is very moving. Rose hires Luke to help run the farm as she struggles to make a new life for her son and herself. I really liked Luke since he was so thoughtful and considerate. This was an easy novel to read and love. I look forward to the next one in the series and will have to read the first book to find out more about Luke. Highly recommended!
After the death of her husband Rose returns to the old family farm with her 4 year old son. Luke gets offered a chance to help her with the farm-work, and becomes her helper and friend. Needless to say it eventually becomes more. Overall I enjoyed the book, and the the characters were interesting. I got a little tired of her excuses though, and her anger at him at the end was a little over the top. Other than that though, I would highly recommend this book and author.

Good quality Amish fiction novel by Barbara Cameron. I would recommend to anyone who enjoys this genre.
Buried Secrets is a sweet romance that builds over several months. This slow romance is one to be savored. I received a copy of this book from the publisher through Net Gallery. This is my honest and voluntarily given review. Rose, an Amish widow, has returned to take over the family farm. With her sister's advice, she hires Luke to help work the farm. For Rose, it starts with a friendship. Rose is still grieving her husband and isn't thinking of romance. For Luke, it is love at first sight for Rose and her son Daniel. I loved Rose's son Daniel, who is so full of life and love. Luke is a sweet and gentle man who gives Rose his support. Overall for me, this is a story of relationships: Rose with her twin sister, Rose with her son Daniel. Luke with his cousin, and especially the friendship and romance of Rose and Luke. I enjoyed reading this book very much.
