Symphony of Life: A Musical Retelling of The Good Samaritan mostly tells the story of Joel, a corrupt tax collector who’s in desperate need of a swift kick in the pants. But there’s also a cadre of irate marketplace vendors all vying to be the one to deliver the humbling blow; a spunky, young widow who wishes she had more than two pitiful mites to cast into the offering box at the temple treasury; a pair of star-crossed lovers; a perfectly poisonous person masquerading as a beautiful maiden, a murder of featherless crows; a constipated mule; and a Samaritan who is…well, good. 

The pages of this musical/novel hybrid teem with timely Christian messages, striking illustrations, and unforgettable songs—from silly to spiritual—linked to QR codes embedded in the story. Read, Look, and Sing Along (you won’t be able to help yourself!) as the characters’ lives intertwine in unexpected ways, and Joel comes to understand who his neighbors truly are.
